We enjoyed our 3-nite stay with our mini-Schnauzer (they don't charge extra for a pet).The staff was friendly and helpful (especially Jessica and Kyle). We booked a double queen standard and it was a nice sized room and nicely furnished with flat screen tv. There wasn't a chair for the table/desk but Jessica was able to locate an office chair for me. […] The beds were pretty firm, pillow top and we slept good. The breakfast was better than most (real bacon, scrambled eggs, belgian waffles, etc). I love the coffee/latte/hot chocolate machine that is available all hours. The only negative was the slippery/sticky tile in the lobby/hallway. They mop and when it dries, it leaves a cleaner/residue that is icky to walk on. Front Office associates were very friendly & helpful. One was in training for the front & she gave me small attractions in the area. Both ladies if there was anything they could assist with while in town for tennis tournament. My room was very clean & tidy. Great location for the NASA Space center. Good neighborhood. Newer looking hotel and the room supplies were surprising good with a microwave and larger then usual refrigerator. Not sure why it is only a 2 1/2 star rating. It should be at least a 3. I really hesitated to stay in a 2 1/2 star since I usually only stay in a 3 or 4 star rated hotel and […] this hotel was one of the least expensive hotels in the area. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality. Beds were very comfortable and we had a two queen room which we shared with our 12 and 13 year old. The rooms were a good size for the two night stay. It was very quite and did not seem to have very many guest as it was winter (January) and so there were not a lot of staff on for the breakfast shift. So if things ran out, then you pretty much were out. The only staff around was the girl at the front desk. But they had a decent selection with hot waffles, muffins and eggs. Loved the rooms, was comfortable, stayed for 2 nights while travelling, very helpful staff; had some kids running around in the middle of the night which made my dog upset and he was restless but I guess it was 31 dec so they were excited.. Overall it was good.

I usually stay at motel 6 but this was a much nicer stay. the beds and linen were soft and comfortable, and the room was spacious. also the overnight person working was kind and friendly. I went outside to smoke and he answered a couple of simple questions , then again in the morning he was still there setting up breakfast which was tasty .

I have stayed at 5 stars hotels but I must that the customer service here was excellent. I was traveling with my three girls and decided to stay close to the Kemah Broadwalk. I got there pretty late in the day and usually when representative sees you with children their service lacks the kind of attention that it needs. My experience was pretty good over all. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was superb! The Wi-Fi connection wasn't that great ( a bit slow), but they have a business office for guests with some computers and a printer. The refrigerator and microwave in the room was convenient! Over all, this place was a good choice!

We stayed for a couple of days while visiting the Kemah Boardwalk and the Johnson Space Center. This hotel is just about equal distance from both! We found the room and hotel to be very comfortable and were very surprised at the quality of breakfast. This was not just a ho-hum toast and donuts type of breakfast - homemade waffles, eggs, sausage and […] bacon to name a few of the available options. The pool and spa were comfortable but since we are pool owners ourselves thought the filter needed some work as it wasn't as crystal clear as it could have been. Excellent, we stayed the next night at another city...more expensive and supposedly more luxurious and it made LaQuinta seem like a palace. In the future we will always seek out LaQuinta.

The bathroom wreaked of urine like an old gas station rr. Only stayed for one night, pool closed at 9, got back to the room too late to take advantage of that. Breakfast was included and there was a decent assortment of breakfast foods to include coffee, espresso, milk and juices. NASA was right down the street and Kemah was under 2 miles away.

Had meetings with NASA people, but wanted to stay near the entertainment area in Kemah. La Quinta was equidistant between the two. Good price, clean modern room, friendly staff. The free breakfast the next morning exceeded my expectations.

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the daily cookies at the front desk......yummy! Our destinations were Battleship Texas/San Jacinto Monument, NASA, Galveston, and Kemah. There were plenty of eating places close by, and there was even a Target and a Walmart within a few miles of the hotel.

The first night of our stay was pretty noisy. There was a wedding party a few doors down laughing, singing and hollering down the hall and in a couple of the rooms at 2 am. Although the rooms are all non-smoking Im sure whoever stayed in my particular room before me was smoking. The room smelled like stale ciggarettes. I would like to point out that this is not the Hotel's fault, but maybe a little air freshener would have done the trick. The check in was easy and fast. The staff called about 40 mins after our check in to be sure that room was adequate that we didn't need anything. They even had a welcome goodie bag with a note on the entry table. We will definitely use this hotel again, easy to get to and convenient.
