The hotel is in need of renovation. Given the "normal" price of the room and the use of the word "spa" we thought that we were going to get a good deal for the money. We were tricked. The hotel is in need of a total renovation. It was a one star room. The pool area was very nice, but everything else was far more run down than our expectations. Lloret is a party city and we wern't aware of that. It was OK with a party atmosphere, but travelers should be aware that there is a kind of competition about the volume of the music at the pool parties at this and the surrounding hotels until midnight.

"STEPS STEPS STEPS AND MORE STEPS OH AND MASSIVE HILLS"
06/19/15 maraledeb burton on trent
We arrived at 2 in the morning with a 2 year old and 4 bags and a pushchair to be told we were staying in the gem block which was for self catering and when I asked if it was far he said no no just go out the door and it is just on your left hahahaha,The block is up a 1in 10 gradient and goes uphill for nearly a mile. The lift was broken for 4 days of our 6 day stay and being on the 3rd floor we had 6 flights of stairs to walk with a buggy and child up to your roomand bags everytime we came and went to our room. There are no access ramps for wheelchairs and every time you walk up the massive hill to the hotel you are greeted with 15 steps down to reception followed by the steps up to your room and the reverse when you go out then to get to the nearest pool means encountering another 4 massive steep sets of steps. I am not a moaner I am just trying to make people aware that this place is not suitable for children or wheelchairs at all and we have just got home and are completely shattered. If you are a young couple with no kids then this place will be fine for you as long as you don't mind the massive slog back up the longest hill in the world when you have had a few beers. the rooms are fine and the pools are nice as well but were cold so there was hardly anyone in them. Reception staff not friendly at all when I asked if there were any scales in the gym or spa where I could weigh my suitcase I was told you cannot go in the gym as you are not all inclusive!!. To sum up a nice place on top of a massive hill with hundreds of steps everywhere.

"If you are driving, good luck finding"
05/24/15 TravelingAmerican787 Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany
First the good news: the staff was kind and supportive. Has a nice pool, and nice buffet you can pig out on for only 12 euros a person, all you can eat. Bad news: what a pain to find even with the GPS. There is no parking on the street. Streets are small and maneuvering is tight with one way roads. GPS had me all over the place and had to ask about 4 people for directions. You pay about 12 euros to park your car inside the courtyard which only has space for about 6 cars (good thing it wasn't busy, because I never would have found a parking spot outside the grounds). You pay extra for wi-fi, if you want the premium, but it wasn't very premium. The room was kind of dank, probably due to humidity, which makes for those danky sheets and pillow cases. The bathroom was old and run down. Small kitchen so you have limited cooking. Not close enough to the beach and extremely hilly, so it wouldn't be a comfortable walk, as the hotel is on the max peak of the hill. The hotel guests next door were so loud and built into such a fury, that a fight broke out. I think the hotel security dispersed them, because it finally got quiet.

"The worst hotel I have ever seen"
11/08/14 ronnie811
We went as a family of 4 and even our 4 & 8 year old children didn't enjoy. Room were dirty and weren't cleaned at all during our week stay. I had to ask the cleaner in the hall for new towels and more toilet roll. Bathroom had a raw sewage smell in the mornings. No oven, toaster or kettle so I'm not sure how they get away with advertising as self catering. Entertainment was purely for the over 60's with ball room dancing every night. There was a party for Halloween which our kids were excited about, we went and it was all in Spanish with no thought for the British people! The receptionist in the main hotel downstairs was an absolute moron! We waited in the queue for his help, once we got to the front he shouted get to the back of the queue as everyone else was before us! Obviously the Spanish people have priority over us Brits??? Pools were all filthy and too cold as they all sit in shade for the whole day. The pool on the greenhouse is warm but has a yellow tinge to it. Never seen any attempt to clean any of the pools. We booked this hotel with low expectation, I have stayed in a lot of cheap 3 stars and we always manage to enjoy it, however this is worse than faulty towers!

"Not all inclusive -"
08/28/14 lfal42
Our flight was delayed which meant we arrived 5hrs after we were due. The coach driver left us in the area and close to the hotel but at 4am with two children in tow we were horrified to be left in the middle of night club city with people being sick a disorderly. We finally got to the resort only to be told that we had an apartment and would need to leave the site and travel up the road and around the back of the Samba hotel (which is where the coach diver had left us) back through the night life , down a back street to a poorly signposted Hotel. We had booked all inclusive, we were then asked to pay a tax and our passport taken. Given our apartment Keys with an enormous block attached to it. The apartment was dated but spacious. The main bedroom had two metal beds pushed together and the person near the door would have to watch getting into bed as you could smack your head on the door. One single wardrobe with four hangers. We are a family of four. The pillows are awful they are just an old duvet stitched to make a pillow. The bathroom not only dated but the hair-dryer had duck-tape holding it together, the radiator was rusty. The bath was so narrow that when having a shower you got stuck to the shower curtain. The shower was powerful but the metal surround on the lead kept falling down. The toilet dripped all the time and leaked on the floor. The pool are is stunning and the pictures online are exactly what it is. On closer inspection the tiles on the floor are mostly cracked and when you walk around some are covered with wood. We had torrential rain and most of the resort was flooded up to your ankles. Most of the resort is tiled so it was very slippery and the staff put down blankets as matts that was even more slippery. The lights though the resort to the apartment were always off in the dark and the back gate always open you felt very vulnerable walking back after the evening entertainment ended. All inclusive means you get breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not much variety, mainly the same every day. Breakfast was bacon (rashes mainly fat) beans eggs, ham cheese salami, cereals croissant cake, hot drinks form a machine that gave out dirty water if you want herbal tea. Juice from a machine. Lunch and Dinner had salads and chips and cooked meats and fish but drinks were pre ordered at the entrance with only water coke or wine available. Drinks at the bar are only those on display like beer, coffee, wine coke with watered spirits if you wanted a Mojito for instance that was 2 euros extra. You could have snack but only salted crisps that were put out at 11 and in an open bowel and tasted stale or a choice of 3 ice creams and ice lolly or a vanilla or chocolate mini milk any other ice creams you pay for. If you wanted Hot dog it was 2 euros. If you wanted a sun lounger you pay 1 Euro for each one you use and had to be up at 7am (on your holiday) to secure one. If you wanted to watch TV you had to hire the remote and if you wanted a safe you had to hire the lock. The kids clubs were geared for under 5s. Staff by the pool bar are rude and unhelpful. I speak Spanish fluently and my family are Portuguese but I was born in the UK. I was ashamed how the Brits are treated for example as My friend ordered a coffee for me I asked what it was when I tasted it she said it was from the coffee machine like at breakfast , I later went and got her a coffee I ordered in Spanish and was served from the espresso machine in the back and she was appalled as was I that we received different service based on Language. The hotel info said the was a Gym which we were told was a spa not a gym then later so some spanish people dressed for the gym being shown in and used the facilities as the reappeared and hour later dripping in sweat. The free Wifi only works in the room or apartment and the paid one works as far as the lobby. What part of this was all inclusive and family friendly???

very nice complexe, big and with many green areas. Perfect for families with children. We've got a little baby girl who was happy to spend the holiday in this hotel. Big spacious apartments with kitchen and many steps, nevertheless we enjoyed staying here. My wife tried some treatments in the GEM Institut and had a great time! The Costa Brava is a real treasure, a beauty that we'll never forget and will come back next year!

For a break to rest and enjoy our time we decided to go to Lloret de Mar and stayed at Guitart Apartments, what a mistake.... They say you get what you pay for, but we got much less than that. The apartment was filthy, dust covering everthing, mould over running the bathroom, the kitchenette look as if someone had just cooked their last meal in it, a very dissapointing experience and no matter how many times you hung the "Please make up this room" sign on the door, it never happened. From the sound of other reviews maybe we should have stayed at the Hotel.. if only there would be a next time.....

"You get what you pay for"

This Park IV is, as the Roman numeral suggests 1 of 4 parks on Guitart Park. Depending upon whether you are fully inclusive or self catering probably depends upon which of the 4 parks your accommodation will be. If you want something basic, then Park IV will be for you. The apartment I stayed in was clean but very, very basic. But, be warned. If you do stay as a self-catering guest there is absolutely no maid service. You have to collect your own clean towels, toilet rolls etc from the reception. And if you have a very young family, do not be surprised if a group of rowdy young men are in the apartment next to you (which happened to me for the last 2 nights of my stay). There is no doubt that the more services you include in your booking the better 'Park' you end up in. As for the fitness and spa, these are extras and have to be paid for by all guests. And if you hire a car, you have to pay 14 EUROS per day!!! And if you want to make a cup of tea or coffee, there isn't even a kettle. There is a safe within the department but again there is a fee to be paid for the lock!! Thankfully, the hotel isn't too far from the beaches or town centre but if you want to visit Barcelona you have to get a bus from the town centre to the railway station at Blanes. All-in-all it wasn't a bad place to be in but it certainly wasn't what it said in the brochure.

"Very good Value for the money"
10/10/08 Pacman7728 Osnabrück
For us ist was a very pleasant stay. The rooms were very well for that price. It was quiet and a lot of space. Cleaning was every day with beds and new towels. For that price very comfortable. The food was good, a lot of choice. I mean for 3 star I would recommend it Even my son found every day something to eat, he was satisfied. For my opinion it could be better, but then you have to book a more expansiver place. So really no complaint, o.k. sometimes we also had to wait, but only 10 minutes. The staff was O.K., nothing wich happens somewhere else also, nobody is perfect. The hotel garden is very nice, with plants, lot of sun, nice pools, nothing to complain. The fenals beach is only 10 minutes walking, also for city. Very good location. So for me, i was afraid to go there because of the bad feedback, I was suprised how good it was for the money. So go there and enjoy, if you want to have luxury go somewhere else and pay more. I would go there without hesitation again. And if you think Lloret is only for party, have a look at the nice beaches surrounding the main beach, even in walking distance, if you want to go further take a bike or bus.
