"GREAT LOCATION FOR WALKING........RESTAURANTS ETC."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

"Tiki tiki"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Its agreat hotel for the money ..I have been staying here over the past 10 years when I am in palm springs!
"Check in"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
You have to park and then walk into the lobby. You can't park right at the entry into the hotel. Was very satisfied with everything. The undergound parking was a real plus with the temperature at 100 degrees.
"wonderful little hideaway."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
small, quiet complex within close proximity to restaurants and shopping..used the complimentary bike rentals, pool and spa. nice variety of continental breakfast items. was able to extend the checkout time a bit. bed was comfortable and bathroom was a good size. the noise and smell of the food from the mexican restaurant next door was a bit distracting if you were out by the bar or firepit in the evening.

Hotel was clean enough and close to Joshua Tree National Park. Pool was adequate, but not heated, so too cold to swim, in April. Jacuzzi ok. Continental breakfast ok. Towels and sheets rather basic and rough, as expected in this price hotel. Only one gripe: we had to get a new key 3 times in 2 days, when they refused to work.

"Its a bed"
Had to get extra access cards to gain access to the gym and laundry even though we stayed there for 4 nights we had to go back to the very unfriendly front desk girl every day to get it renewed.
"quiet and central location"
thanks for a very clean and large room. the adjoining restaurant sushi is great.

"great hotel for the price"
stayed with the family and they loved it.
"Not much to choose from in this town"
So I usually disregard the naysayers of these reviews, but I think the high 4 rating the users give is a relative score...to the other older buildings in the city. That OR other rooms are newer than mine. Mine was pretty dumpy, and the carpet turned my socks black from the asphalt outside. The pool was FRIGID...not even heated, as they claim. One local […] told me she's never seen the pool warm, and she visits the hot tub several days a week. (Decent hot tub, for sure!) The continental breakfast was a lame as it could be....ALL carbs and rubber eggs, with only two indoor tiny tables for the entire hotel. The weather was SO windy, one couldn't eat on the outside tables. The staff was nice. Housekeeping missed things every day...like left us with only one tiny garbage can, and one day skipped our room all together. But once you called, they showed up and were happy to give you what you needed. If the pool was adequately heated, the pool would be awesome...nice set up. Room was large, shower was good. The room air was one of those old air conditioners you stick in the window...loud dustblaster. The bathroom heater was the 60's frigidare silver steel wall model with the fire prone element, right below the Kleenex's. Room is desperate for updating. I really think there are newer, much nicer rooms in order for this hotel to be AAA rated. Read more
"Obstructed Mountain View w/Broken Heater- Welcome"
Reserved a "Mountain View" King suite and got a suite with 3 windows. The bedroom window looked directly into the bedroom window about 4 feet across the way. The balcony/sliding door view overlooked the roof of the cabanas below and the pool. Off in the distant were the tops of mountains. The front window overlooked the giant parking lot. You will want […] to clarify the location of your room upon making your reservation. I arrived about 8:30pm. It was cold when I arrived. Once in my room (that I attempted to change but there was no other room available), I switched the heat on. It didn't go on. So I switched it to "fan" but it only blew cool air. I thought it might take some time to warm up. After an hour I called the front desk and she said the maintenance man had left for the night. So I slept with layers and my coat. It was kind of like camping, which can be nice when you plan for it. The next day, they fixed the heater. They couldn't do anything about the obstructed view, however. For my 50 degree night, I was issued a credit of 25.00. Whoop whoop!! I will say the room was so incredibly silent. I did appreciate that. I was looking for a silent couple of days in solitude with a view.. to do some writing. I did get quiet. Read more

"Travel lodge of Yucca Valley"
Hotel Staff is very accomadating and friendly. It looked like the cleanest hotel in the area.
"Travel lodge yucca valley"
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in MY LIFE!!!!! We were awoken at 2:00am in the morning by water leaking from the ceiling! And not just any water but later we found out it was toilet water! From the room above us. So toilet water was leaking from the ceiling in multiple places at 2:00am. We immediately called the front desk which then […] contacted the owner. After he came and surveyed the room he offered us 20$ off our stay. They couldn't give us another room because they were full so the owner said we were out of luck and we could go somewhere else. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Read more
Although the room was clean and comfortable, it was noisy, both from the front with traffic noise coming from the slatted bathroom window and the rear pool/patio area where the sounds from non-thinking fellow guests came through paper thin walls or the patio door. If one is planning on going to Joshua Tree National Park, this motel was on the wrong […] end of endless Yucca Valley. Read more
Very old and poorly maintained property. Should have stayed at motel 6. Very dissapointed.
"Yucca Valley Travellodge, Peace and Grace"
Great Location, softess hotel bed I have ever sleep on. Greeted with kindness and support during my stay.I am looking forward to my next trip.
"Travelodge, Yucca"
It was a lovely location and large facility, it was really nice.
"Travel Lodge Yucca Valley"
Please recommend this to all that book it, it was beyond our expectations. Our experience was fantastic along with the dedication of the manager and travel agents who work for this company, especially Bernadette. The rates quoted by hotel.com were spectacular and we were treated like royalty
Everything was entirely satisfactory.
The beds where very bad. The tv wasn't good other wise the room was good size and clean.

"Great Hotel for the price!"
This hotel seemed more like a 3 Star hotel. The Room was sooo roomy and had a dryer and shampoo and conditioner was nice since I forgot mine! Microwave and mini frig was nice. Loved the pillows and so did my hubby. The Pool and Jacuzzi were nice will a nice view of the desert. Made me wish I stayed here 2 nights! We over slept(which was wonderful) and […] didn't try the breakfast. Was only a 20 minute drive to Down Town Palm Springs! I would recomend to a friend! Read more

"if you like cold showers"
If you like cold showers this is the place. I'm not Katherine Hepburn and prefer hot showers. I read a review before I booked it but thought it had to be just one room. There were two couples and two rooms booked in our party and both had cold showers. If this is the policy it should be mentioned before you confirm your room. We told the front desk […] but they didn't seem too interested. I would NEVER stay here again. If its a comfortable bed your looking for this is not the place. Read more

"Great experience"
I was surprised how big my room was. Very spacious and kept clean. I would stay there again.
"Yucca Valley hotel"
Clean, cheap and functional - I cant really complain given the low price of the room for the four of us.
"If you like cold showers, stay here"
The hotel was pretty full due to the holidays, which they claim caused the cold showers. There is a new Best Western down the road from the travelodge. I will stay at the Best Western next time.
"For the money....not bad!"
I called earlier in the day of our arrival, as I always do when I book online, to confirm approximately when we would arrive, which room we will be getting, and to answer any other particular questions that I had ( all of the overwhelming negative reviews that I read brought up some questions). It was evening when we arrived, the desk clerk was courteous, […] we handled check-in and went to the room. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the room was just like in the pictures, it was ready, clean, beautiful decor, quaint and everything worked fine. NO-Ants, NO-Roaches, NO-Bugs! We decided to try Kimi Grill, the sushi grill restaurant on-site. A little pricey, but really good food and great service. The atmosphere was fun that evening (which is where we brought in the New Year watching the ball drop in Times Square). The hotel location is situated at the beginning of town on the west side and a few miles away from central Yucca. There is another section of this hotel that is by the pool and seems to be way older than the main building we stayed in, however, when we were in the jacuzzi, we got a peek inside one of those rooms and they seemed really nice. The in-wall AC/Heater unit is quite loud, but not that bad. One of the ONLY complaints that we did have.........was the bed! Old school flat spring mattress...:(....but it did have beautiful bedding and lots of pillows! I have paid comparable to this rate elsewhere and the beds were plush! It was extremely quiet through the evening. The black-out curtains were awesome! We almost missed our complimentary breakfast! Which was a normal "complimentary" continental breakfast. For the price you can not beat this hotel! This will be our hotel when in Yucca! PROS: Price, decor, complimentary breakfast, workout facility, game room, fridge, microwave, balcony with outdoor furniture, lots of pillows, great bedding, chaise lounge with table, desk and chair for laptop, full closet, hot water, great water pressure! CONS: Flat spring Read more

"Needs work"
I arrived at the hotel and found that my room was not ready as had been promised. When I returned 45 minutes later, the woman behind the desk said that "maybe" the maids had finished cleaning my room. The stopper in the sink did not work so it was a little difficult to actually hold water for shaving. The morning of my departure I went to take a shower […] but the hot water only lasted a short time before turning cold. Read more
"Reasonable price, but NOT three-star"
How this place ever got three stars is beyond me. I suppose it's because they were able to check off a bunch of items on some reviewers checklist. Pool: check (the pool is OK). Fitness center: check (it's a converted guest room). Breakfast area: check (another converted room. Tiny, bad coffee). The Travelodge Yucca is a sprawling complex of what looks […] like old, upgraded motel buildings. Renovations appear to have been fairly recent, but the old motel shows right through the superficial veneer. Good example: nice carpet, but horrifying thin, squeaky, cheap mattress. Like they skimped on everything the hotel reviewer couldn't see. The rooms are very large, I'll give it that. Families with kids would enjoy the amenities. Distance to Joshua Tree National Park visitor center: 9 miles, not across from gate as one other reviewer said. I'm not upset with the price, it was very fair. I do take issue with the bed--a motel is for sleeping after all! If you expect 2 stars with a pool, you won't be disappointed. A quick note on the Japanese restaurant: eh. Japanese diner food. Maybe the sushi is better. Read more
"Noisy pipes and ants"
This hotel is fine or couple nights if you want a comfortable place to relax while visiting the desert. However, the pipes are old and make a lot of noise from adjoining rooms. Also a definite ant problem. Nice to have refrigerator and microwave in room. Nice patio with chairs. Pool heated through November.
"Decent"
I stayed here for 2 nights when I was visiting my boyfriend. I think for the price and location it was a decent hotel. I won't stay again simply because there are a ton of other hotels within a few miles and this one happened to be very out of the way for what we had planned that weekend so I burned a lot of gas even in my little car. Overall if you're […] looking for a cheaper place to stay near a Walmart and a good number of places to eat, I'd say try it. Both nights I stayed there were a good number of people staying around us, so it clearly gets use. Not bad. :) Read more
"Perfect for Joshua Tree NP visits"
We loved this Travelodge. It had a very comfortable room in a quiet location. Breakfast was perfect for our pre-hike energy boost. Our only regret was that we left our bathing suits at home due to the rad poolside sunsets you'll get if you stay here.

The food and service at the Chinese Rest. was great! We stayed for 2 nights and the maids did not clean and or make up our room between nights. They tried saying the"Do not disturb" sign was up, which it was until 11:45 am, but when we left the room the maid was outside of the room two doors down and she saw us leave and remove the sign??!! The front […] desk did give us extra towels, but they were the smallest towels I'd ever seen!! Read more

"Pleasant stay"
We stayed here for one night on our way to the Joshua Tree Park. Big room next to the pool. Everything was as expected. We can recommend it.
"Quiet, comfortable, spacious"
I was a little leery of staying at the Travelodge after reading the previous reviews, but I decided it was one night so I would see for myself. I was greeted by a friendly desk clerk. The check-in was fast. The room we rented had two double beds. The room was big, the beds were comfortable. It was extremely quiet. (It was a Monday night of a 3 day holiday […] weekend) All in all, it was a great stay! Read more
"Travel Lodge Yucca Valley"
The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The airconditioner was on when we checked in.We turned it on was very noisy and vibrating. Didn't have a vending machine.
"The hotel was close to our relatives"
The room could have been clean better. Our second day it was very clean. The air condition could have work better too. Other than that it was a good stay.
"LOVES THIS HOTEL!!!!!!"
I absolutely loved this hotel! The bed was so comfortable and they had very nice pillows and a down comforter. The pool was great and had an awesome hot tub. Our toilet was kind of touchy and over flooded once, but they came and fixed it immediately. The room was huge, and it also had patio furniture outside. There is a small section for a kitchen and […] a huge closet. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay for a wonderful price ;) Read more
