This hotel is better suited for the business traveler or for someone who has friends in the Shin Osaka area. The hotel room was very small, even by Japanese standards. The walls were very dirty. Three highlights was the restaurant, the nearby subway and Shinkasen station, and the 24 hour supermarket.

I found this hotel convenient to the trains a close walk. Also lots of stores near by for snacks or food. Would be nice if they provided coffee or tea in the rooms for first thing in the morning. A larger laundry room would have been nice, while staying there I could not get a machine because there was a soccer team always using the machines.

This hotel is a quick 10 minute or so walk from Shin-Osaka station, so basically all of Japan is easily accessible. Its also about a 30 minute bus ride to either Itami or Kansai Airport. The rooms are economical and comfortable; perfect for sightseeing.

Chisun Shin Osaka is a pleasant, no-frills budget business hotel. The location is excellent, just a 10 minute walk to the JR ShinOsaka station, which is a bullet train hub, so super convenient for day trips. The hotel and room is clean, and staff helpful and friendly. Rooms are small but serviceable. The bathroom is tiny, one of those pre-fab combo […] cubes where the sink tap is also the shower tap, but it's ok for a short trip. The highlight of the bathroom is the fully-loaded Toto with seat warmer and bidet... Free broadband is really handy. Hot water pot, but no fridge. Small storage closet area that only had 2 (!) hangers, but not unmanageable for a short trip. No coin op laundry on-site, though, which was a bit of a bummer, but not a big deal. My one gripe would be the lack of sound insulation. Heard foot traffic and conversations during "peak" times and occasionally late at night, plus the sound of housecleaning staff in the mornings (i.e. after 9am). Housekeeping is gracious and polite -- they won't bug you if they know you're in and have the "Do not disturb" tag up), but you can still hear them cleaning other rooms nearby! Not an issue if you're out sightseeing before 9am, but can be an issue if you intend to sleep in... Otherwise, stay was pleasant, and location very convenient, close to transit hub, reasonable restaurants (including a couple local fast food ticket places), and convenience stores. Good value. The walk to the JR […] Shin Osaka Train station is about 10 minutes along an elevated expressway. To enter the station you will have to walk up a stairs some 60 steps. There is another option that may take 20 minutes that does not require you to walk up this stairs. When taking the subway, remember to take Exit 7 at the ShinOsaka station Take the wrong exit and you may have to really search for a way back to the hotel... Lawsons and Family Mart are around the corner. Essentially this is a budget hotel..with access to Shin Osaka Station and the Shinkansen. Read more

Nonetheless, describing the hotel as convenient would be an understatement -- it is literally a minute away from Shin Osaka station. As mass transit is a pivotal aspect of traveling comfortably in Japan, you will find that staying in Chisun Hotel Osaka means you will be able to travel throughout Osaka efficiently and worry-free. Furthermore, Shin Osaka station is one of the Shinkansens' (bullet train) destinations. I was able to easily travel to Hiroshima, Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kyoto, making my trip all the better because it was nice knowing that the hotel was only a short walk away after a long day of walking and exploring. In addition to the station, Chisun Hotel Osaka is located near an array of kobinis (convenience store chains), a supermarket, and an AFFORDABLE Japanese food joint (make a left when you see Lawson). This combined with the JR rail pass, I was easily able to maintain a budget of 3000 yen a day (broken only on a couple of occasions when I had to pay for some of the major attractions such as the Osaka aquarium). I had a pleasant stay in Osaka. Neighbourhood is good. I found a couple of eating houses nearby and convenient stores. The hotel staffs are friendly and speak good English. There is coin laundry service which I could self service .

Located quite near to two of the metro stations of the Midosuji line and the JR Shin-Osaka station, Chisun Hotel is definitely a good place to stay over night if you are not staying at pricey hotels around the region. Rooms offer almost every necessary items except a fridge. Lan connection in room but the network is not so stable.

I recommend it because, although is on the north Osaka, only 2 minuts on foot from Shin-Osaka station and the Midosouji line, are arround a lot of ATM, 7 Eleven, Lawson, a wonderful Delicatessen store and, on the street behind the hotel, a lot of convenient and nice restaurants. The area it is not very lively […] as Yodoyabashi or Namba but is ok. The hotel is fine. There is also a direct train from kansai airport to shinosaka station, which makes the hotel convenient to get to. There are many 24 hour convenience stores nearby like lawsons, plus other cheap fast food eateries as well, so you'll never go hungry. We stayed at the Chisun for just one night and chose it because it was close to the station and affordable. The rooms were small but this is to be expected in Japan. Our room was not cleaned properly when we first arrived (left over rubbish and wet bathroom) however the staff were really helpful and had the room re-cleaned in no time.
