Best Western Premier Bangtao Beach Resort & Spa - Phuket

Most of the rooms face the pools and not the sea view as advertised. There is a holiday wing and a family wing but they do not tell you about them nor ask you which one you want. We went as a couple with no children but got a room on the 2nd floor facing the pool in the holiday wing. Very noisy and not the sea view booked. The hotel staff was gracious […] to change our room, which was one of the few sea-view rooms on the 4th floor. However, later we discovered that we were in the holiday wing, so noisy with all the holiday activities. It is not a quiet hotel, more like holiday med with lots of holiday activities. Also not enough hotel beach chairs. Hotel rule is not to reserve them for more than an hour but this rule is not implemented. People reserve them at the same time in both beach areas and pool areas while using them in one area only. Staff are reluctant to take action. Read more

Must have been one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. During booking location was not clear and this ended up being a surprise to even the taxi driver as there are 2 Best Western hotels near Laguna Beach. Room was not quiet at all, as requested. Ordering a taxi through the hotel ended up being twice the normal rate. Same for all other amenities. Hotel […] location is even worse, next to a small but very busy, noisy road. Staff + manager was very rude when I asked for a late checkout. They wanted to charge me another night and even after I fell ill, they insisted I leave the room by 12:00. The hotel is in reasonable condition, overall very comfortable and the staff are great. The pool is ok and the gardens are pretty. The big let down is the Internet, there is free Internet in the lobby however it doesn't work. (Staff told me this was a permanent problem not a temporary issue.) Room was clean and cleaned daily, food was pretty decent as well. I've stayed on the same beach at a different hotel before and this one was cheaper but much better. Internet was free in the lobby which was nice. The only bad bit really was that there was an off-putting sewerage smell in the back sections of the hotel. I found the location of my hotel (Bang tao) very convenient and extremely beautiful! It's quite close to the airport (less than half hour drive) and far from the more crowded and noisy places in the south. The hotel is located directly on the beach and it is surrounded by few bars and restaurants. The service in the hotel bar and restaurant was good […] and efficient; especially, the restaurant is facing the sea and offers a astonishing view of the surrounding. The foods and the cocktails, that we sampled, were good but slightly expensive! The hotel was particularly quiet and lacks of any sort of entertainment but that's because we went there in low season and it was almost empty. This resort is about 30 min. by cab from downtown Phuket. It was very quiet, great beach at your doorstep, 2 good pools and a large jacuzzi pool. Food was good but not superlative. The hotel has one of the better locations for having access to the beach right there at the hotel and two large well kept pools. It is necessary to take a shuttle or taxi to other towns - Patong, Kata, Karon, and there are several sightseeing tours available. Would recommend the hotel for a 4-5 day stay and would suggest if you've never been to Thailand to book some time on another part of the coast - just to see what else there is - Phi Phi island is availble by tour but you are farther away from it at this location than say, Krabi. There are several good places to eat along the road the hotel is on but the biggest venue of shops and restaurants is in Patong Beach - which is very crowded and very touristy. Ja overskriften siger vel det hele. En ting er at hotellet er gammelt og dårligt vedligeholdt men servicen er yderst ringe og der bliver ikke gjort ordentligt rent. Desuden er hotellet og i øvrigt hele byen fyldt med turister fra Rusland. Hade bokat familjerum med två sovrum. "Fanns inte" påstod dom vid incheckning. Fick istället vanligt rum och lovades extrasängar. De hade fortfarande inte levererats kl 22 på kvällen. Inte jättekul när detta var vår ankomstdag till thailand. Lackade ur och krävde kompensation, fick ingen. De ordinarie sängarna var stenhårda, som att sova på golvet bokstavligt […] talat. L'hotel est très bien, il est situé sur une grande plage mais sans intérêt. Cet hotel est bien pour une ou deux nuits car il n'y a pas grand chose à faire autour. Nous l'avions choisi pour la dernière nuit avant notre départ car à coté de l'aéroport. Le petit déjeuner est sous forme de buffet, correct.
