My particular room, Santa Ynez, or "The Artisan", was a bit dreary. But clean and comfortable. I think the other rooms are brighter and cheerier, and will try this inn again. The gardens are delightful, the breakfast was superb,and it's a quiet, restful, easy-going atmosphere.

Our two nights were wonderful. The hot breakfast delivered to our door each morning was a wonderful treat and the location is perfect for walking to shopping, art galleries, and the beach. The room was a little small but not sure if it is typical of all rooms at the inn.

We'd never stayed at bed and breakfast. This place had a perfect little cottage feeling, and reminded me of my first apartment. The breakfast in a basket topped off our stay.

I'm not normally one to write reviews, but after our stay I thought it was necessary to share the experience. From the minute we walked in, we were given excellent service. The receptionist let us check in early, gave us a tour of the facilities, and walked us to our room. She also gave us all the recommendations for restaurants, and bars and other […] entertainment venues. Our room was so quaint, cute, and private. Our room was the hideaway, and included a gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub, queen bed, and overlooked a beautiful garden. Perfect for a couples stay! At around 5pm, we were greeted with fresh baked cookies, and in the morning we had a basket at our door that had a hot breakfast in it. The food was excellent. Our meal was a breakfast casserole, English muffin and fresh fruit. ( not a fruit cup, fresh cut seasoned fruit that was delicious). Santa Barbra was beautiful, but it was the jasmine inn that made our experience so great. It's hard to find a hotel that goes above and beyond in service. We will be back! Thanks for everything! Best things: 3 blocks from State St; a 6 - 8 minute walk from theaters, SB Museum of Art and many restaurants. Our room was a smaller room, across the street from the main Inn building. Victorian suite was adorable. No central heat so we had the portable heater going on high most of the time. Fire places were so pretty. Made for the perfect little one night getaway with my boyfriend. So close to state street and the wharf too. Had a great time

This is a Bed and Breakfast, not a "hotel". Huge difference. Those wanting to stay at the A White Jasmine Inn needs to know that they will be staying in 1920's houses, bungalows, rooms. The service was excellent with a basket of breakfast (hot food hot, cold food cold) awaiting outside your door every morning! The only concerns were parking (I had to […] park the rental car on the street overnight) and being close to downtown Santa Barbara, dealing with the homeless wandering in the neighborhood. The room was lovely, and I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was considering the location that was so close to downtown. My husband and I stayed in The Craftsman, and the private outdoor Jacuzzi was quite nice. The bathroom was VERY small, though, and there were a good number of small things that were broken. It was awkward watching the owner […] trying to turn on a light and figure out it wasn't working. And no, he didn't fix it...just left it alone. There was a jug of water left in the room for us, which was thoughtful, but it tasted so stale that we didn't use it. My biggest frustration, though, was with breakfast. I had put on my registration form that I was allergic to kiwi. I also discussed this with both the owner AND the cook when we checked in. So imagine my dismay when our breakfasts arrived at our door and the fruit (which was half the meal) was covered in slices of kiwi. I'm horribly allergic, so my husband and I both had to skip the fruit. The slice of quiche, while very tasty, and piece of toast left us both still hungry, and we ended up grabbing breakfast on the way out of town. Via email communication after we checked out, the owner apologized with this offer: "For you troubles we will present you a $40.00 lunch voucher at Louie’s---on of Santa Barbara’s finer restaurants featuring coastal cuisine and veranda seating---on your next stay with us." Very sweet, I'm sure, but we don't live anywhere nearby, and I can't imagine staying there again just for that. Read more

This bed and breakfast was wonderful. It was conveniently located near the heart of State Street but far enough away to be secluded. The rooms were nicely laid out and very quaint. AND, the breakfast was fabulous. We had a HOT meal delivered to our room and my compliments go out to the chef. I would totally recommend this B & B to anyone.

Very nice property, close to downtown. Had a early morning business meeting and breakfast usally is delivered at 8:30 or 9:00, John the manager made an exception and delivered my breakfast early, very accommodating! Will stay here on all my business trips to Santa Barbara.

When you first walk into the room, there is a gadget playing beautiful music to welcome you. I showed up an hour before check-in, and John very kindly checked me in. He was so friendly and helpful. The Country Room was small (affordable), but very pretty and clean. Bodde tyvärr endast en natt på detta supermysiga b&b, som ligger centralt bland en massa andra pittoreska villor men ändå centralt. Litet rum men det kan nog variera och en grönskade trädgård utanför husknuten. Till frukost leverades en korg utanför dörren med en härlig frukost. Skulle gärna bo här igen!
