Wonderful hospitality from Celeste and Marie and Cedric! Beautiful restored victorian home and within walking distance of everything you need. Very quiet and comfortable. Excellent food at nearby restaurants. Loved the "Uncorked" tasting bar that Celeste and Bruce have down by the Napa River! This is the place to stay!

Well the home is well appointed and well maintained.. The fence could use a coat of paint, minor point. Parking was close and the down town is close well within walking distance. However, there is no television either in the rooms(to be expected) nor in the common area(surprise). The B&B is within walking distance of downtown Napa. It was a great way to get out, sample some nice wines and not worry about having to get back to the hotel. The place had some nice charm, for the most part it was very quiet. The breakfast was average. The only bad part of the hotel was the bed. It really should have been replaced years ago.

The house is magnificent, extremely well decorated, and it is kept super clean. It has the feel of a travel in time to an age of great elegance. Breakfast with the other guests is a fantastic highlight. It is like meal time with a large family. Highly recommend this B&B.

Here is the quick summary. On the plus side, breakfast was very good. It came in two courses. A yogart and berry course then a breakfast casserole. Celeste the owner is as everyone stated, delightful, helpful and just a wonderful host. I am typically not a great admirer of old historic homes, but this was was a piece of art. The B&B was very lovely and convenient to in-town restaurants. Easy access to Napa and Sonoma wineries. The B&B provided wine touring map and passes for wine tasting. We enjoyed having breakfast with the other guests; a great way to meet new people. Note: There is no television in the rooms.

I highly recommend the McClelland-Priest B & B. It was a nice place to stay. Our room was very comfortable. We had a noisy ceiling fan, and we were moved to a new room right away. We figured a great place to stay in Napa would be a bed and breakfast. McClelland-Priest is an old hostoric Victorian with quaintly deocrated, themed rooms. From the moment we arrived, we were treated, not as guests, but as family. A packet of info awaited us with narrowed down recommendations for where to visit, dine and shop. With it's Victorian charm, the McClelland-Priest B & B was homey and friendly. Within walking distance to downtown Napa, we were able to enjoy all of the luxuries of downtown restaraunts […] and wineries and yet be able to walk back home to our quiet residential B & B. The breakfasts were sinfully delicious and a great way to begin our day. Our guest room with a seperate entrance accessed by the quaint white picket fence was adjacent to the main house and gave us both the feeling of privacy and security that we desired. We had a great experience at Mcclelland-Priest. The inn is a beautiful Victorian and the common rooms and bedrooms are impeccably decorated. The location is so close to great restaurants and wine bars. We stayed here for four days of our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time! First off - Celeste is phenomenal and she can really make a good trip great through her hospitality and her connections in the Napa area. She left us lots of information on the area's restaurants, wineries, and attractions so we could start touring right away. Many local wineries […] offer complementary or reduced-rate tastings for guests at this B&B. She also set out some great breakfasts (french toast, fresh fruit and yogurt, quiche, etc.) and wines were provided in the evening. Not only is Celeste knowledgeable about hospitality, she's also clearly passionate about ensuring her guests have the best possible visit. In a stellar trip, Celeste still stands out! We stayed in the Puccini suite - which was beautifully decorated in the same style as this turn-of-the-century house. The room was spacious and had lots of storage for our clothes, a beautiful bay window, fireplace, and adjoining (private) bath. Of course, with an older house, the drawback is a few less modern comforts - we had an in-window air conditioner and the room wasn't very dark at night due to the sash window, but these minor drawbacks didn't diminish our experience at all. We'll definitely stay with Celeste during our next Napa visit - and we think you'll enjoy visiting with her too. Read more

The B&B is right in downtown Napa, a short 2-6 block walk to lots of great restaurants, Oxbow Market and other goings on. The Innkeeper is also very well connected throughout the Valley because she and her husband have their own winery and tasting room so you get lots of 2 for 1 or free tastings all over Napa with her card. This is a substantial cost […] savings if you don't have a particular itinerary in mind and are flexible about wineriers you choose to visit. That said, you are staying at the far southern end of Napa, so if you want to to to Northern Napa wineries, its a 45-60 minute drive. Also, the B&B has window unit A/Cs which don't really cool the rooms off very well in the summer, so take note if you get hot easily. The breakfasts leave something to be desired if you go to B&Bs in part for the food. There was a lot of repetition from day to day in what was served and the food was very mediocre. There are so many great places to eat in Napa, I'd skip the breakfast if you stay here. Bottled water is provided daily in the lobby. Coffee and tea in the morning, wine in the evenings. Read more

when I stay at a B & B. I expect breakfast at a reasonable time in the morning. Instead of a time range, breakfast is at 9:15 for everyone. Make sure you check your schedule to fit with hers.
