"B&B plus great wine."
Recommend this to anyone. Celeste is more than a host, chef and provider, she has great personality and an interesting life story. Do not forget to visit the wine tasting house in Napa, which she and her husband own. Their wines are award winning. Mmmmm!Genuine Expedia guest review
I thought that it was a wonderful room, & a good romantic place. They had a nice assortment of wineries that could be visited and information on Napa Valley.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awesome! I will be back!"
Breakfast delicious. Host very nice and eager to help make suggestions based on guest. Room is a little dated but still comfortable - satellite TV didn't work on most channels, a king bed would have been nice. The host provided free wine tasting vouchers and they worked like a charm. So glad my wife and I stayed here. It was perfect for our anniversary. […] We will be back! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved the owners"
Here is the quick summary. On the plus side, breakfast was very good. It came in two courses. A yogart and berry course then a breakfast casserole. It was very convenient to town and in the evening they put out a couple of bottles of wine. The owners were charming and very attentive. They arranged comped wine tastings at several places. The downside […] was that the property was worn and they missed the touches you would find in other B&Bs. The place had a worn feel and a slight musky smell. The cleaning service they employees missed filling the coffee and the soap. The extra touches were missing from a great B&B. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay - excellent service"
We spent 2 days in the wine country and the Mclelland Priest B&B is a great place to stay. Celeste is a great host and was very helpful with giving us suggestions for wineries and places to eat. We also visited her tasting room which was a great experience as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful stay in an exquisite setting"
Celeste the owner is as everyone stated, delightful, helpful and just a wonderful host. I am typically not a great admirer of old historic homes, but this was was a piece of art. Take a look at the wood inlay and the original chandeliers.. The night we were there we sat on the porch rocking chair, drinking wine and listened to church choir rehearse […] across the street. The "commute" to many restaurants is literally 2-3 blocks away. We particularly liked Angele. Great food with a view of the river! Have fun and take your time, Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great historical B & B. Owner very knowledgeable and very helpful regarding the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
The B&B was very lovely and convenient to in-town restaurants. Easy access to Napa and Sonoma wineries. The B&B provided wine touring map and passes for wine tasting. We enjoyed having breakfast with the other guests; a great way to meet new people. Note: There is no television in the rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay!"
I highly recommend the McClelland-Priest B & B. It was a nice place to stay. Our room was very comfortable. We had a noisy ceiling fan, and we were moved to a new room right away. Celeste made our stay most welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful. The others at the Inn were very nice to visit with. Room decor was very nice. Rooms were refreshed daily. The […] Uncorked winery is also owned by Celeste and Bruce. They treated us well at the tasting room...and treated all their guests with a free bottle of wine for the road! The location is great to the Napa downtown...an easy walk for dinner and other activities. Easy to get to other parts of the Napa Valley area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Thank you, Bruce and Celeste"
We figured a great place to stay in Napa would be a bed and breakfast. McClelland-Priest is an old hostoric Victorian with quaintly deocrated, themed rooms. We stayed in the Roma Suite with a great jacuzzi tub in the alcove bay windows. Wine ready for you in the reception/living room, coffee and muffins there in the morning. You can go to Uncorked and […] taste wines near the very walkable downtown from this B&B. Celeste and Bruce are great hosts and we enjoyed having breakfast each morning with our fellow B&B guests from different places. I enjoyed the overrall peaceful, get away this great B&B offered. You cannot beat the history and style of the property, the location nor the hospitality if you are staying in Napa. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Better than having Family in Napa!!!!"
Beautiful historical and restored Victorian. Appointed elegantly and lovingly by the gracious Inn Keeper, Celeste. No detail was overlooked. Celeste deserves the 'Hostess of the Year' award. She prepared a delicious breakfast, as well as adding to our experience and comfort by treating us to select Wine upon our arrival, and Coffee/ or tea and cakes, […] upon awaking, served in her 'gilded' Parlor. Celeste then sent us on our Wine Tasting Tour, armed with Maps, History, Recommendations, and her personal visiting card for an enriched and VIP day, in the Vineyards!! "McClelland-Priest-B&B is a fantastic part of Napa"
This was an amazing part of our trip to Napa Valley. I booked it for two nights as a wine tasting gift for my girlfriends birthday. It was close to a lot of the winneries. "Charming B&B in Napa"
This B&B is a charming house within walking distance of downtown Napa. When we arrived our keys were in an envelope by the door with some maps and discount offers for tastings at numerous wineries. The owners have many commitments over which they divide their time and may not be present at the B&B. "Upea vanha talo Napan keskustassa"

"Quaint, Charming and well located"
10/23/14 Robert S Westborough MA
The Inn is conveniently located just a couple of blocks from Main St where there are numerous restaurants to choose from. Fairly easy access to the two highways that the Wineries are located on. Although the Inn is old, it is pretty well maintained and certainly has kept its charm. The morning breakfast that was included was fantastic! We actually stayed in an attached carriage house which was quite roomy - 2 rooms in fact and a comfortable bed. However the bathroom sink was actually in the bed room but that was really no bother. Just be aware, its a very old house and doesn't have the modern layouts and conveniences. If you are staying in the house the rooms are up a very large (beautiful) staircase for instance. Just a couple of outdoor sitting areas that were OK but nothing special. The owners left a very detailed packet with information, maps and coupons for free or discounted wine tasting, appetizers etc. The area around the Inn felt safe and it was quiet at night. Parking was only on the street but again it felt safe. We really enjoyed the old Inn and would stay there again!
"Lovely Place, Delicious (But Formal) Breakfast"
10/05/14 Monsterjenn San Francisco, California
Stayed here for a night during a weekend in Napa with two friends in the Carriage House room. The place is clean and inviting. It has character. Feels like a home away from home, that sort of thing. It actually has two rooms, one that has a large king bed and it's separated by the other (with a full-sized cot) by a walk-in closet area and a curtain. The set up worked out well for us since I stayed up later than my friends and didn't want to bother them. The place just feels nice and comfortable in general. There's some casual outdoor seating right outside and a little greenery so it was nice to sit outside and chat and drink wine. Breakfast was delicious, but you don't get much choice in it. For that morning we had a yogurt and fresh fruit with granola and cinnamon as a first course. The second course was a hash browns, cheese, and egg fritatta that was pretty good. There was also orange juice, coffee, water. They also had lemon pound cake available for us. Note that it feels like kind of a formal affair and you're sitting at a large dining table with everyone else and gold plating. So don't be like me and show up in your pajamas and feel awkward. :) The owner is also very good for tips and advice on traveling around Napa. Overall, I definitely enjoyed the stay. Would recommend it again. Would try not show up for breakfast in pjs (again).
"Beautiful home - great location!"
09/04/14 Susan T Rochester, New York
We stayed in the carriage house room, located on the property but not attached to the main house. It's very quaint and filled with beautiful decorations and lovely gardens. Our room was actually two separate rooms, which would be nice if you were traveling with another couple or children. A bit awkward was the bathroom, which opens up directly into your room - and has a glass door with a very thin curtain - not exactly private. The bed itself was very comfortable and the room well kept and clean. The "sitting room" had a day bed, coffee station and gas fire place. We loved the high ceilings and sky lights, made it feel more spacious and open. The breakfast was fantastic - food was freshly prepared and served by the owners. It's always so nice to chat with other travelers from around the world. Very close to the downtown Napa area, easy walk along lovely tree-lined streets. Highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area!! We'll definitely be back!
"Gorgeous Old Victorian House"
08/10/14 RubyAZ12 Phoenix, AZ
Finding a reasonably priced place to stay with any charm or character is difficult in Napa, so we were very pleased with this B &B. I am a total sucker for Old Victorians and the house was just beautiful, with many of the original details restored. We stayed in the Verdi suite. It is a large loom with a smaller, separate room that had a desk. That small area could have been put to better use with a loveseat and a table. The room has a fireplace and all the charm you could ever ask for. The staircase to the second floor is a curving, vintage Victorian and might be a little difficult for older folks to maneuver. Breakfast was a two course meal, and nicely presented. You also get a complimentary wine tasting and bottle of wine at the tasting room downtown. The location is great, as it is walking distance from downtown Napa. My only negative is the toiletries. We had really cheap little tacky soaps in the bathroom and a plastic bottle of Head and Shoulders for shampoo. I think the owners could do better. But i recommend the place highly if you like B &B's.
08/09/14 Eric B Basking Ridge, New Jersey
When available, we love to stay at local bed and breakfasts. While location was great, just a couple blocks from downtown Napa -- we were kind of disappointed with the breakfast. We had to be there at 9am and were only served what the owner was making that day. So be warned, if you don't eat richer foods like Fritatta or French Toast (we don't), call in advance and ensure you can eat what you want. Also, owner was not around other than at breakfast, so no one to speak to if you had any questions about anything. For the money we paid, don't feel like we got our monies worth.
"Quaint place, hassle free!"

We arrived a little late to find an envelope waiting for us with a lot of helpful information regarding Napa. The Carriage house was so quaint and cute and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect! Thank you!
"Great place for visiting Napa"
06/05/14 MuncieMan Seattle
Brought my wife here over Memorial Day weekend as early birthday celebration. Stayed in the Roma room which is air conditioned. Beautiful room, comfy bed and huge jetted tub. The property is very well kept inside and out with fine furnishings. Celeste the owner is wonderful. We stayed three nights and had a nice breakfast each day. Part of the package staying there includes a free bottle of wine and wine tasting at their tasting room Uncorked about a mile away. Friday night they have live music which we enjoyed. Downtown Napa is easily within walking distance but you can also park for free on the street or in a partking structure. Though there were no night shades in our room we slept fine since it's such a quiet neighborhood. Travel advice - on busy days going to Saint Helena traffic can be bad on Hwy 29. Try taking Silverado Trail Rd instead to get around any backups. There are a number of roads that cross between the two that will save you time.
05/29/14 KevinBromagen Lincoln, Nebraska
This B&B is perfect. Very charming, Celeste is wonderful, the breakfasts she makes are great and it is in a fantastic location, within walking distance to The Oxbow, downtown, the best restaurants and The Uptown Theater. The rooms are expansive with large bathrooms and a jet tub. We stayed in The Carducci Suite and could not have been more pleased. Would definitely stay here again!
"Feel like you are at your own home in Napa"
05/10/14 Diatho01 New York City, New York
Our stay at the McClelland B&B was excellent! We had 4 of the 6 rooms rented and we felt like we had our own house for our family vacation. The house is charming with the decor staying true to the historic roots. Every room has something different and special to offer. From fireplaces, private patios, large bay windows and a 4 post wooden king size bed everyone feels like they have the best suite in the house. At first I was concerned that we would encounter issues with noise due to their being other people staying in the house while we were there, but, surprisingly we never heard anything. It was quiet and peaceful at all hours. Celeste went above and beyond offering suggestions on vineyards, restaurants, and nighttime entertainment. It was my Birthday during our stay and she even gifted me a lovely bottle of Champagne. The only thing I found to be a negative was that it was about 20-24 miles away from most of the Vineyards on the Silverado Trail, so we did spend a lot of time commuting. But we knew that going in and the positive to that negative is, the B&B is in walking distance to downtown Napa so we were able to walk to dinner at night. We would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip to Napa.
"Great stay, Celeste is wonderfull"
04/17/14 Brett A Greensboro, North Carolina
We recently stayed here for the weekend and really enjoyed it. Our room was amazing, it had a soaker tub in the room (not the bathroom), fireplace, and a BIG bed. The owner Celeste also runs the tasting room where we treated to a free bottle of wine and a tasting. She also knows EVERYONE in Napa, so we also enjoyed discounted tastings during our vineyard trips. Breakfast was good, healthy and light….a nice change from bacon and eggs we get here in the south.
