A nice quite hotel that's just an hour by train outside of downtown Chicago. The rooms are clean and full of all of the amenities. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only complaint was that there was a $10 charge for internet usage.

My husband and I stayed at this location recently for a four day weekend to attend my son's graduation from Great Lakes Navel Station. The hotel was absolutely wonderful. The cook to order breakfast was excellent, and the front desk staff gave us great suggestions on where to eat and shop. The hotel was very clean. The only drawback is that it is located […] on a toll-road so most places that we went we incurred a toll to get on and off the toll-road, so make sure you have plenty of change. The staff was responsive in fixing the amenities, but the shower was dripping; the bleach smell was initially unbearable; not all lamps were functional and the heating was not possible to adjust to lower temp. Hotel is OK for a short stay. Love the hotel policy regarding pets.

The place looks nice but it is very deceiving. Once you look beyond the surface it is dirty and low quality. Food from room service is disgusting and over priced. When I arrived they told me that they didn't have a room for me although I had made a reservation for the room days ahead of time. The front desk clerk then made me wait about 20 minutes saying […] that he would try to figure something out. He offered me a room that wasn't actually a suite but a "conference" suite. He said for the inconvenience that he would throw in a complimentary breakfast for my trouble. I told him the offer was ok, but that I would prefer that he offer something else being that I don't really eat breakfast. Instead of doing the right thing by showing me customer service and offering me something that I could actually use, he INSTEAD told me that I should come down to the desk the next day and explain the whole thing again to the day clerk and that they would see what they could do. I went ahead and accepted because it was really late and I had alot to do the next day. In the middle of checking into my room the clerk flags me down and tells me that he thinks he has an actual room for me. I then wait in the lobby another 20 minutes. He does find me a room, but now I have to also move some of my belongings out of the old room. With their lack of organization and all of this running around it took me over an hour just to check in. The refrigerator in the room was old and run down, the tub didn't work and the bathroom was just dirty. This place was just gross and over rated. I would never stay here again. Oh and one more thing, NOTHING and I mean NOTHING was ever offered to me for my troubles. But what more should I expect from a hotel that can't even keep it's word about reservations that you make with them. Read more

This Marriott Suites is set up strictly for conferences and training for the coporate offices surrounding the hotel. All the rooms on our floor had a big conference table with 6 chairs and a queen bed. I wouldn't recommend it for families, Actually, even women traveling on business may find the hotel annoying because the lighting is so bad in the rooms. […] It was very difficult to put on your makeup. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of this room. It had a bedroom and living room separated by French doors. It also had 2 large LCD TVs and a wet bar with microwave and mini fridge. This hotel was very nice and even better considering the price. The staff was very helpful and friendly. All requests were taken care of quickly. Small details in the housekeeping were not met, like enough creamer for the in room coffee or tops for the cups. These were very small details and immediately dealt with if brought to the attention of the […] front desk. One troublesome problem was the spa. The jets were not really jets, just openings that shot out annoying bubbles and not a jet of water which one would expect in a spa/jacuzzi. The hotel is located in an area that is not near any attractions. The train station is ten minutes away and the train ride to downtown Chicago is 55 minutes. Read more

When we walked into our King bedroom, the first thing we said was Wow!! Big room with king-bed in it's own private area with closing french doors and an office and living room feeling in the other area. The comfort of the bed itself with comforters were to die for!! Extremely comfortable. Highly recommended!

I pick this hotel because they had a good deal and I did not want to be in the heart of Chicago with being there during labor day weekend. It would have been crowd. So I picked this hotel. The workers were very nice and helpful. My boyfriend that was meeting there from Michigan got lost and I called downstairs and they directed him into the hotel. I asked the front desk clerk to take a picture of us and she did without hesitating. The restaurant in the lobby had very good food. The room was beautiful and spacious. Two doors into the bathroom. The only thing I did not like was that they only had three bag carts which were not available during check out. So I had to make a few trips up to the room. This hotel was awesome, only downer for me was the per/day charge against my debit card for incidentals. I never use incidentals but I am still charged the fee. It takes several days to get my money back. Don't like this. If there is a choice in hotels I will take the one without this added charge that I didn't know about until I arrived.

I stayed here to go to Six Flags Great America. It was a great hotel with plenty to be happy about. First off, the rooms are huge. These are about twice the size of a normal hotel room with completely separate bedrooms and living rooms. Additionally, the bathroom has both a stand up shower and a tub. Service was also excellent.
