The hotel was a bit older and everything in it was outdated but it was at least clean. The plugs on the wall were connected to the switch on the wall that also controlled the light so in order to charge our phones we had to have the light on as well which made it hard to sleep. The woman at the front desk was very friendly.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly, especially the front desk staff. Angel and Shammah were very personable and made me feel right at home. The Hotel was in pretty good shape for its age and I was surprised to see how well equipped and large the room was. The only negative was that apparently the cleaning person missed cleaning out the refrigerator […] as it was full of someone else's half eaten food. The rest of the room was VERY clean so I am sure it was just an oversight and not a sign of low cleaning standards. All in all I would definitely return! Read more

I was driving an unmarked police car. As soon as I arrived, crackheads started popping out of their rooms to see what I was doing. I called the police department and had a close patrol put on the hotel, in the hopes that my car wouldn't get broken into (it didn't). I checked in and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I went to my room and […] checked the mattress for bedbugs. I noticed that the sheets had a large number of bloodstains on them. I went to the front desk and told them. The staff was very nice. We had to wait a bit when receiving we got there but that was ok for us. The room was nice had a jacuzzi tube in the bathroom so no complaints there. Now the bed wasn't what we expected, it was very uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on the floor outside. The neighborhoods that we had on Friday night were very disrespectful. […] Meaning that didn't know how to stop slamming the door or yelling out at 100 am, but that is expected for some people. Hotel was very clean but in need of updating / remodel. For example, the door on the room refrigerator was rusting, but inside was very clean. Also, rooms as well as swimming pool and breakfast area were very small. Part of this was due to all of the Mexicans with more children than could be counted seeming to over-run the place. My only complaint is that I did not know there was not an elevator. As 2 women alone we wanted an inside door and the 2nd floor is the only one with that. Made it hard for me and my daughter who pulled up the burden of carrying our things.

I was taking my kids to see the Space Center and then to Galveston and this was a good location away from the center of Houston but near all the sights. It's a good location and the pool area is spacious and well-kept. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. We found this hotel to be cleaner and more comfortable than most accommodations we've used in the past, in comparable price ranges. The room was clean. There were some areas for improvement in the way of painting, etc. but nothing that made the room feel unclean. The bed was very comfortable. The shower, bathroom, sink and vanity were very spacious […] and clean. There were no unpleasant odors. The registration clerk was very nice and accommodating and offered to personally help us use the free wi-fi. The area was quiet and we had not feeling of any safety or security issues. The room was spacious and clean. Only complaint was no elevator and the only 2 entrances to the upstairs were on either end of the building. Fine hotel for the price, though.
