Great location and beautiful room. One bedroom suite has a COMPLETE kitchen and fireplace. Lots of closets too. Safeway market is a block away. Washer and dryer on first floor. We walked to the beach area and had coffee in the morning. Room was very clean and staff is very nice and helpful. Love this place.

Over all we love vacationing at the townhouse rentals. The maintenance was available within 5-10 min. even in the evening a smoke alarm was beeping low battery and we called and they came within minutes to fix the problem. The only flaw was that the carpet needed cleaning it felt hard and worn but other than that our stay was well worth it. This is the best place to stay in Tahoe. We usually stay in a family owned cabin, but this time we got the one bedroom suite for $95 a night, perfect. The rate was worth every dollar. Room had small kitchen with stove, oven, mini-fridge, sink, dishwasher, all necessary dishes. Also had small dining table, a living room with couch, recliner, woodstove […] fireplace, mounted flat screen with cable and dvd player. Plus a patio with chairs with a lake view. The bathroom had jack and jill sinks, toilet and shower/bath. The bedroom was a seperate room with large king bed, pretty comfortable. Room also had TV, and large closet. Lakeland has its own private beach too! Only downsides were tiny bathroom, expected a larger fridge and bed was firm. It's walking distance to a few food places and a CVS. Central to shopping, grocery store, movies, beach, casinos. Awesome, clean place to stay and we always try to stay here! One bedroom suite slept husband, wife and baby. Could easily sleep 2 more in the living room (pull out couch). We LOVE this place and the large cabins are GREAT for larger groups. Read more

Overall we had an ok stay at the Lodge. The front desk staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchen. However, we did not get much sleep because every morning, we could hear the people in the unit upstairs moving around (pretty much sounded like they were walking around, getting ready to go out). For at least an hour […] every morning, we had to put up with the noise. I am a very deep sleeper and I have never had a problem with noise in a hotel even when other reviewers complain about things like "paper thin walls". But this was extraordinarily bad. The floors creaked and we could hear every single step they took. When we let the front desk staff know about it when we were checking out, instead of apologizing about it, she admitted that the noise was an issue because the Lodge is such an old building. Summary: The good reviews for Lakeland Village appear to be mostly for their townhomes. I would avoid staying at the Lodge. There are better options out there. Also beware if you plan to arrive early-- even at 3:30pm on a Thursday in the off-peak season, they did not have any rooms available for check in. Read more

I absolutely would stay here again. We rented a 1 bedroom townhome it was very spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed!! However as the title states it does get chilly at night and there is no heater but a fireplace to keep you warm; so bring blankets if you aren't going with someone you can sleep with ; )

Rooms are very big and clean, we booked a deluxe studio. Bath room was small but nice! Breakfast can be enjoyed across the street. Definitely the best family vacation we've had so far in Tahoe. We came at the low season at great rate. Heavenly ski is closed as well as Gondola, but still last week for Mt. Rose ski resort. Very light crowd with great weather.

I called the morning of to see if we could do an early check in. The customer service rep. Deborah was kind of rude. However, she did call me back to let me know the room was ready 3 hours before check in so that made up for it. We stayed in a studio in the main building. What attracted me to this hotel was the pool and spa with the view of the lake and mountains. To my surprise, that pool was closed and had orange netting surrounding it. It took away from the lake's beauty. The spa was open and I enjoyed it as well as the access to the beach. The continental breakfast was ok. This would be a great place for a large family since the units on the lake are nice. For a couple, I'd stay else where. This was a great location. We skied Kirkwood, Heavenly and Sierra and this was centrally located. The staff directed us to wonderful restaurants and entertainment. We also like the free shuttle that they provided.

Location to Skiing and the Casinos is perfect. Main hotel is old. Room was clean but mattress had seen its last day and should have been replaced. Room had some furniture recently stained and hadn't dried properly. When heat came on at night, room had paint fume smell. It was very late at night so we didn't switch rooms but we should have.

Unlike other units we have stayed in Aston Lakeside before, this 2-bed apartment has only one bathroom. The loft has only one bed instead of expected 2. The furniture is dated and there were not enough chairs for 6 persons. This place is closed to stores and Heavenly. Overall it's a nice complex for a family weekend getaway in South Lake Tahoe.

Great stay, especially with the shuttle service to a very busy Heavenly Valley. Shuttle also takes you anywhere in Southlake. A really nice service even though we had our truck with us. We got a 2 BR 2 BA in Sycamore Pines. The room was OK except for at night. We set the heat at 65 and the bedrooms which are downstairs fluctuated between either steaaming hot, or cold. Opening the bedroom door helped a bit, but woke up every morning with a headache from the temperature fluctuation. Shuttle was convenient.

I was not supposed to stay here, but due to a conflict I was moved. It was perfect. The kitchen was great, and I used it both nights I was there. I skied at Heavenly on both the California and Nevada side and it was fantastic. I will definitely go back.

Not a very welcoming staff. Clueless for most parts if you have any questions. This place lacks positive energy. These are appartments owned by individuals who rent them out and not a real hotel. They don't even have any vending machine for water. Hotel.com ratings are way too high for the qaulity of this hotel.

Stayed in the 4 bed townhouse, which is really more like a 5 bed with the loft that holds 4 extra people. Very cabin-like, and beautiful. Awesome experience!

The hotel included free of extra charge a good breakfast including yoghurt, nice coffee, bagels, jam, pancakes. Wifi was included free of extra charge. Free parking was included (this is not obvious anymore) -- even inside the garage below the hotel. The hotel provides a shuttle to drive you anywhere in town and pick you up again. The room we got provided […] two levels -- the higher one to be reached via a staircase inside the room. There was a balcony -- unfortunately with a view facing the South Lake Tahoe Blvd. -- so we picked up a little street noise -- but no a problem. The balcony was also facing the pool and hot-tub -- at least the hot-tub is also open during winter. The hotel also includes many separate cabins/houses located on the same property for rent. Some of them facing the beach of the lake. I already stayed in such a house multiple times. These houses are very nice -- including a big kitchen and balcony -- I think for up to 8 people. The hotel includes a boardwalk into the lake which makes for very nice photo opportunities -- the lake and snow covered mountains in the background. On the other side of the South Lake Tahoe Blvd. is a pizzeria/brewery located, which makes quite good food and GOOD BEER. And there is a second pool and hut-tub close to the beach. My wife and I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite for two nights. We were greeted at the entrance to the office by Christmas trees and Christmas music which was very nice and welcoming.We were able to park in the underbuilding garage which was a pleasant surprise. When we went back to our car the luggage dolleys were not there and they had one to us in less than 5 minutes. I read other reviews complaining about the cleanliness of the carpet but I can say that the carpet in our room, 129, was almost new and very clean, as was the whole room. The bed was comfortable, plenty of towels and very roomy. Our room was just inside from the pool and Jacuzzi which was very nice. The maid service was polite and patient and not pushy at all as we have expirienced in the past at other places. This is an older Facilty with a little wear around the edges but our room was great with only one request: please get some new TV's!! But that is my only complaint. We will definetly go back. I will be going back to the Lakewood when I return to Tahoe. It was very clean and neat I was impressed. It had plenty of cooking utisels which I was surprised to see that much. Extremely spacious in the one bedroom I stayed in and minutes from everything. Aston Lakeland Village has always been our preferred hotel in South lake Tahoe! It is family-friendly, clean, and well-maintained. The location is also excellent, and the free hotel shuttle gives us easy access to most other attractions in the area.
