Fox Apartments - London 51.50837, 0.02605

we originally stayed in central london but "escaped" from former hotel due to dissatisfaction from dire standard of cleanniness. luckily for us we found by chance an apartment available in fox apartments. since we are a family of 5 finding such accomodation in short notice in london is nor trivial. it could be said that our holiday was saved . the apartment is fantastic : plenty of space, modern, clean, full faclities which are very important when you stay for over a week , beautifuly furnished. in short- a place where a family can enjoy themselves for a length of time while giving each other space. even though it is in zone 3 , it's worth the travel to centre of town. we would definitely go back.

Our family of 7 persons stayed here for 3 nights on two separate occasions from May 16 thru May 31, 2009. It's quite a ways away from central London but was easy to get to on the Underground--Custom House Station is about a block away. Very spacious, two level apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths upstairs, and kitchen with dishwasher and clothes washer / dryer, living room with dining area and study and 1/2 bath downstairs. Quiet and comfortable. When windows open in living room, sometimes let smoke in from bar / restaurant patio on level below the apartment. A few nearby restaurants and take-out food places and several grocery markets within walking distance. Last 3 days there was less pleasant because of disruption of the Underground service and somewhat spotty bus links made getting back into central London a bit more challenging.

Cool apartment, well located for travel into London. Quiet location, which was ideal for us with young children. Plenty of room and well equipped and we had no problems. Would definitely recommend.

This is an amazing accomodation a real home from home!

The Fox Apartments are conveniently located close to the rail stop. It was clean and had plenty of room. It is a great place for anyone that has more than 4 peaople and doesn't mind lugging your luggage upstairs. The bedrooms and the apartment were upstairs, which was not advertised, and there was not a washer/dryer as stated. We loved it until we took showers and there was no hot water. When we called the number given for assistance it said the line was disconnected and we had no way of dialing out with the phones that were located within the apartment. If those problems are fixed I would stay again, if not I'd go elsewhere.

Vi hade hotellet under en konferens och var 2 personer. Mycket smidigt med kök och loungedel. Finns plats för flera personer och närheten till Excel är perfekt. Fin utsikt, inte Themsen men ändock. Flera restauranger och hotell i närheten för dinner/drinks.

Fin beliggenhet i et rolig strøk rett ved Royal Victoria Docks og Excel messehall. Tar litt tid å komme seg til og fra sentrum, ca 20-25 min til Tower of London. Leilighetene var fine og renholdet upåklagelig. En liten matbutikk rett gav oss tilgang på det vi trengte til frokost/kvelds. Vi hadde med oss 3 unger (4, 8 og 10 år) og de stortrivdes. Vi kommer gjerne igjen.

In dem geräumigen Appartement mit 3 Bädern auf 2 Etagen haben wir uns nach einem strapaziösen Tag sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war sehr sauber (tägl. Reinigung u.a. der Handtücher und Bettwäsche) freundliches Service-Personal. In den geschmackvoll eingerichteten Wohnräumen mit perfekter Ausstattung bleiben keine Wünsche übrig (Küche u.a. mit Geschirrspüler - eine feine Sache). Eine hervorragende Bahnanbindung in diesen neu erbauten Dockland-Stadtteil. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in London sehr genossen und uns abends sehr auf die Unterkunft gefreut, um aus dem hektischen London einen heimeligen Abend im angenehmen Appartement ausklingen zu lassen oder im unten angrenzenden Restaurant/Pub noch ein Bierchen oder einen Hamburger zu uns zu nehmen.
