Na Balam got some underserved poor scores. The location happened to be the best location on the island (as far as beaches go), and fairly convenient to excitement of down town. The grounds were spectacular, and for such a reasonable price. Front desk and beach bar staff were not amazing, but not bad either. They could do some training on customer service in order to make it a more magical experience, but all in all, it was acceptable service.

Fantastic deal for your money. The confirmation from hotels.com said that our room had ocean, pool and garden view.... it didn't. The view was just trees. We had booked a king size bed but got 2 queens instead so that was disappointing but over all a great place. Men need to bring long pants if you're planning on eating in the a'la cart restaurants. The buffets are great, a'la cart is ok.

I loved the hotel and the service is wonderful, however I was really disappointed in the beach. We had to travel to another Palace resort to swim in the ocean and take pictures. But that is my only complaint.

in Cancún's Hotel Zone, this all-inclusive resort between the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupte Lagoon is less than 5 km (3 mi) from Wet n' Wild and Aquaworld. The archaeological find El Rey Ruins is 1.6 km ( 1 mi) away.
Hotel Features.
The majority of amenities are included in the all-inclusive rate, including use of the swimming pool, spa tub, and beach lounges, volleyball and tennis, and mariachi band performances. Menu selections at 3 restaurants and a poolside bar range from international cuisine to Italian fare. The Bellevue Spa offers facial and body treatments.

"Good for the price"
The staff is more than courteous. The hotel needs renovation. A little paint won't hurt. Upgrade the rooms would make the hotel more appealing. Overall the food was good and the staff is great.
"Recommend spending the extra $ for a newer hotel"
Hotel is old, run down and food was horrible. Room is large, view is great! Pool is nice, half of it was under construction when we were there. Our ceiling leaked, toilet stopped working, and the door to our room had to be kicked in, in order to open it. Luckily we only stayed 2 days, and spent the entire time outside. Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Food was good enough to choose from to suit everyone. Clean. They upgraded our room because the hotel was so full so that was nice. The room could have been more sound proof. We had noisy neighbors some of the time, but this happens most every place you stay. I would recommend staying here. "Bring your own sunbed.."
Cheap hotel, but you get what you pay for. Food was ok, and the pool area was nice, but that was pretty much it. The mayor drawbacks are the following: Hotel really worn down. Lacking a sufficient amount of sunbeds, if you want one you have to be up at 8 and get one. When you get up at 9, there are no sunbeds left, and you will be spending the day on […] your towel.. No free internet, which is kind of strange for any hotel, but especially an all inclusive one. The gym does not exist any more. Read more

"Great Price and Location"
Great staff! Best bartender, GUSTAVO!! Amazing view from room, good food, clean rooms. Great bang for your buck. I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates customer service and cleanliness.

S tímto hotelem all inclusive jsem byla velice spokojena. Velký, čistý a světlý pokoj s balkonem a oknem. Jídlo pestré, výborné, hodně ovoce, zeleniny , každý den jiná mezinárodní kuchyně a navíc možnost objednání do dvou dalších restaurací "a la carte". Personál milý a vstřícný. Centrum města v dosahu 30 minut busem. Určitě můžu doporučit i co se týče […] financí. Moře je díky větru hodně "vlnité", ale 30minutovou procházkou dojdete do klidného zálivu. l'hotel si trova direttamente sul mare, all'inizio della "zona hotellera" dalla parte di Punta Nizuc, con una spiaggia ed una piscina bene attrezzate e curate. Il servizio all inclusive funziona bene e per il prezzo praticato vale assolutamente la pena tenerlo in considerazione. Il mangiare è soddisfacente ed i bar (quello della hall e quello in spiaggia/pisicna) […] funzionano alla grande. Una bella fetta della clientela (almeno quando sono andato io) era tra i 50 e i 60 anni. Gli edifici cominciano a mostrare segni di stanchezza ed un po' di manutenzione straordinaria non guasterebbe. Je suis juste resté un jour dans cet hôtel et heureusement je suis parti. Pour un hôtel "4 étoiles" j'étais très déçu. Le confort des chambres était nul et pas joli, la nourriture était pas fraîche et ce n'était pas du tout bon, le personnel de sécurité étais très désagréable, je jaccuzzi était fermé à 19h. Le bar fermait à minuit, il n'y a pas de connexion […] internet, elle est payante. Je pourrais encore continuer. La seule bonne chose était la vue, mais les chaises sur la plage étaient nulles. O hotel é bom. Fomos bem atendimento. Fica pouco longe do comércio, mas nada que um ônibus e cinco minutos não resolvam. A comida não é tão diversificada, mas dá pra comer tranquilamente. A praia do hotel é ótima. Gostei. Voltaria :)
Helt ok. 20 min från flygplatsen. Maten ok som vanliga all-in-hotell.

Her bliver du virkelige behandlet godt. Der er service fra du kommer til du checker ud igen. Vi ville til en hvertid komme tilbage og læne os tilbage og nyde de afslappede omgivelser og nyde godt af de mange fristelser som der er i de forskellige buffeter Hotellet ligger langt ude. EL INTERNET NO ES GRATIS Y ES MUY CARO . los alimentos son de buena calidad solo en el restaurante que tiene tres comidas diarias fuera de el restaurante no es recomendable. los cuartos son muy limpios y el personal es agradable. Por el precio es una buena opción sin ser muy exigentes.

"Fantastisk Beliggenhed"
Dejligt hotel som ligger på stranden. Velfungerende all inclusive , med meget god mad samt god betjening. Vi fik store naturoplevelser ( Havskildpadder der lagde æg på stranden , Pelikaner samt en rokke ) Vær opmærksom på at der ikke er forretninger i nærheden

Mycket bra bemötande och service från väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Otroligt bra bekvämlighet och renlighet på hotellet, dock lite slitet på några ställen men absolut inte mycket. Maten var väldigt god med mycket stor variation. Drinkarna var utav dem bästa också. Underhållningen var också trevlig med Live music och väldigt bra shower varje […] kväll. Jag och min man är mycket nöjda med vistelsen på detta hotell under vår semester och skulle absolut vilja rekommendera det. Read more

"En besvikelse trots kostnad"
Man får vad man betalar för, men vi hade hoppats på ett hotell i bättre skick. Vi bodde på 6:e våningen ut mot vägen/lagunen. På väg till rummet fanns en vattenläcka i taket på en korridor, och de 2 hissar som fanns turades om att vara trasiga under de 4 dagar vi var här. Rummets ljudisolering var helt obefintlig. Vägen utanför är ordentligt trafikerad, […] och närliggande hotell har nattklubbar som gör det omöjligt att sova utan öronproppar. Vi klagade i receptionen och fick en ryckning på axlarna som svar. Queen-sizesängen i vår Junior-svit var allt annat än skön, och tillsammans med alla ljud var det skönt att till sist komma hem till Sverige för att vila upp sig. Hotellet har 3 restauranger, varav ett helt ok litet Italiensk ställe och ett finare med Medelhavsmeny. Den större "allmänna" buffé-restaurangen som även serverar frukost och lunch lämnar en del i övrigt att önska när det gäller mysfaktor. Väldigt skränigt och stressig miljö. Hotellet har en lobbybar som även den är i helt avsaknad av mys. Något som vi inte riktigt förstått är storleken på hotellområdet i Cancun. Hotellet är ett av de allra sista på den 2 mil långa hotellsträckan, och man kan knappast ta sig någonstans till fots. Det finns dock en god ström av bussar precis utanför. Stranden är liten men fin, och vågorna är stora även vid stilla vindar. Snackbar och poolbar finnes. Det är svårt att slå det pris vi betalade inklusive all inclusive, men jag tänker aldrig bo här igen. Gillar man att hänga på hotell så finns det betydligt bättre alternativ i Playacar, och vill man ha ett myllrande restaurangliv med gångavstånd till allt så bor man hellre i Playa del carmen. Jag avråder från Cancun i allmänhet, och detta hotell i synnerhet. Read more
Goed hotel!!! Heerlijk verblijf gehad!! Geluk gehad met het weer! Heerlijk! Echt genieten! Vooral het eten is heel goed bij dit hotel!!!! Het hotel kan wel een likje verf krijgen en de meubels zijn wat verouderd, maar het is wel schoon!
