I stayed here for 12 days while I found a spot to stay for my job and the staff was nice and the rooms were the most amazing rooms I have seen in a Super 8. I have stayed in other hotels that cost more money and you didn't get near the comfort that I got while I was here.

Deffinatly from what I could tell the best option in the area. I asked for a NON-Smoking room, but it was a smoking room. The refrigerator had old stale beer at the bottom of it. But I would stay there again if I am in the area.

The hotel was very clean and nice looking upon arrival. When we entered the room it smelled good, was clean and very organized. My husband went to swim in their indoor pool/hot tub, and we were short on towels. We asked the receptionist for more towels and she was right on it! "Good 2nd or 3rd choice if you have to stay."
I had to spend a couple weeks in Monroe for business recently. The two major hotels the locals recommended were booked up, so I ended up staying here. It was okay, and better than the hotels on the other side of the interstate, but it falls just short of being a great hotel. Things are mostly clean, quiet and breakfast is not too bad for a hotel breakfast. In […] my particular room, the a/c unit was leaking water and blowing black "stuff" all over the floor and bed. I told the front desk, who advised me it was normal operation. I removed the a/c cover and noticed it was actually pieces of rubber gasket blowing around, so I just laid a towel across the vent to stop the rubber from blowing all over the bed while I stayed there. During the 2 weeks I was there, room service never moved the towel at all. Room service was a little hit or miss. One day after work, I noticed all towels were removed from the room, but none were put back. Again I advised the front desk, again I was told this is normal, and they would be replaced later in the afternoon. I ended up getting some towels around 8:00 PM. After a couple days staying there, I came back from work to notice that all of the coffee cups had been removed from the room and not replaced. Again, I asked the front desk for replacement cups, which they were unable to provide (It was after hours but they did give me a styrofoam cup). The front desk assured me they would have housekeeping restock the glasses the following day. They never were restocked in the remaining 7 days I was there. The front desk help was neither friendly or rude, just sort of indifferent. I always felt like I was interrupting someones texting conversation when I stopped by. Just little things like that seemed very unusual. Perhaps I just stayed during a bad week or something but it was a really weird and overall unfriendly experience. The staff was great. The location wass good. THE BEDS WERE HORRIBLE. I saw 20 or so flat screen TVs being delivered. I had injured my back before my trip. We stayed overnight at this hotel on our way to and from another destination. The first room we had was clean and nice. The second time our room was not clean and the toilet did not work. The furniture could use updating, but the service was second to none. The front desk staff always greeeted us with a smile and a greeting. "Horrible Stay"
This was my worst hotel stay. I have stayed in here before and it was great. It seems is has downgraded to a motel. I had crickets in my bed. I was moved to a different room due to crickets and was then told I would be charged an additional fee if I did not vacate the new room. I was asked to move yet again. Hotel air conditioner/heater did start leaking and made the carpet around the unit and near the bed wet. I did not notify the desk as I did not want to go to the trouble of repacking and moving to another room. The humidity was extremely high and then a cold weather front pushed through which may have caused the unit to leak. Another concern was the […] pool. Requested non-smoking room only to walk in to a very smoke-filled room. Yuck! Also had trouble with the air conditioning and the room was not serviced during our stay until after 4pm when we were ready to rest! "Don't expect breakfast if you sleep in"
The hotel in general is not bad. You can't get clean towels until 4:30pm. They quit servicing the breakfast bar about 1 hour before closing time. Other than that they were real nice people and the rooms are nice. We had stayed here twice, once for an unexpected trip and once that was pre-paid. It does seem that the management is working on issues with the hotel. When we arrived, they had given away our pre-paid room. When a room was found and we tried the keycards, there was already someone sleeping in the room. Then they found us a handicapped room. They do need to work on stocking the business office with supplies and work on the efficiency of the internet connections.
