I am easy to please. A bed, and a fridge, and a microwave so I have the freedom to hold my own food if I'd like. Not like I'm in prison. The free breakfast buffet was great. I was surprised at the quality of the food.

Flew down to Jax for a wedding. Decided to stay on the Beach. I had a King Oceanfront, put My Mom and sister in an Queen double Oceanfront. Location is perfect, loved sitting with family around the fire pit at night. The rooms and beds quite comfortable. View from balcony fantastic! Only thing missing was room service. Can't wait to come back.

"Very nice stay"
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The best thing about the hotel was its location. You could walk to the movie theater, fast food and other dining choices. The TGI Fridays, practically outside the door had very good food and service. We were there for a track meet at UNF and it was about a 7 minute drive. This hotel is right near Tinseltown movie theatre and surrounded by both chain and local restaurants, including Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts for the coffee lovers. "Hampton Inn near UNF"
Nice hotel fairly close to UNF, LOTS of surrounding restaurants in walking/short drive distance. Be aware that a taxi to the popular St.Johns Shoppes area will cost you $12 one way, so if you want to go there, make sure you've got a car or more than one person to make that ride worthwhile.

I really cannot begin to say enough about how great Hampton Inn Suites - Jacksonville South was! The staff were amazing. We were in town to run the 26.2 with Donna: Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer and had to leave the hotel at 4 am. Did you know that you can call the front desk and they will prepare a "Breakfast-To-Go" in a brown paper bag?! SO awesome! The […] room was amazing. There wasn't a thing out of place. The room was clean and really, really comfortable. It was a shame we were only staying one night. I would LOVE a room this nice and spacious on some of my longer vacations. The location was amazing. You simply could not find a place more convenient to local dining, entertainment, and sight-seeing. "Great location traveling through JAX"
Hotel was very clean, Breakfast Buffet was excellent and Staff was very friendly. Surrounded by small shopping areas in case you need anything. Perfect for a short overnight stay when traveling I-95.
Wow! This hotel staff is super friendly! Everyone we met walking down the halls or during breakfast ALWAYS greeted us with a "good morning" or "how are you". I was impressed! Chloe and Lisa were terrific. Friendly efficient front desk. Hotel is clean and comfortable. One of the BEST hotels i've stayed at. When I checked in , the front dest clerk was trying to find a glass company to fix a guests broken windshield. Recommended to me by a family member in the area, the location was perfect for visiting them AND close to the most spectacular restaurant in Jacksonville, the Blue Bamboo. Very nice hotel, extremely clean, lovely rooms, comfy beds, even the shampoo was nice. Highly recommended if the location works for you.

hotel conveniently located near restaurants, flea market, cruise terminal. just stayed 1 night. bar next door was quite loud until 2am. breakfast was incredible, very clean rooms & a friendly staff. no cots at this hotel though they let you book 5 people in a room

My wife, 2 kids, and I stayed at this hotel during the 2010 Gator Bowl. The hotel is like new and very nice. The room had plenty of room with very comfortable furniture. The hotel was sold out because of the game, but the staff were very accomodating and friendly. The hot breakfast was expecially great for the kids. My family and I enjoyed the hotel stay. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the location gave us a sense of security, which is always of concern to parents with little ones. We were in town for a football game and wanted a place to stay that was easy to get to and had plenty of dining options around. This hotel fit the bill and we were as satisfied as we have been during previous stays. Room was clean and comfortable and staff was friendly. We will stay here again.
