The room service was very good, but the food was terrible. We ordered the Malta Plater and were very unhappy with it.

Very nice hotel, for a very good price. A four star, not five, very nice breakfast included in the rate. Personally I don t like the area, too crowded and touristic, but Malta deserves a visit. I travelled with my partner and our 18 month old son. Firstly, on check in, I asked if we could have the mini-bar cleared out so that I could store my sons baby food etc and was told this could only be done at a daily charge. Secondly, on entering the indoor pool on the second floor, I barely had my foot in the door when I was informed that I would […] be asked to leave if my "children" were not quiet. Nowhere in the hotels description did it say that if you had kids you would be asked to keep them quiet and that they would have to be out of the pool by 5pm. And was told this the next few times. Thirdly, the lifts in this hotel are ridiculous, you can be waiting for up to 10 minutes to get a lift to actually stop at your floor ( with a buggy it is difficult to use the stairs). Lastly, we booked a day trip to Gozo with the hotel. I specifically asked the tour advisor at the hotel if this trip was child friendly. i was assured it was. Unfortunately, it was in no way child friendly, driivng around the island of Gozo in an old Jeep in hot weather with no services along the way for children is not my idea of child friendly. I complained at the hotel but I don't think my complaint went anywhere as the manager never contacted me as I had asked. On the plus side, the lounge staff of Ku De Tar Bar I think its called were lovely and very friendly. but overall i will not stay here again and was v disappointed. Read more

Lovely hotel, especially the breakfast - which is what I remember the most from my stay :-)! Totally 5-star quality :-) and including sparkling wine if you are in the mood for that in the morning ! The breakfast is more expensive than a (pizza/ pasta) dinner at a local restaurant - but totally worth it for that luxurous feeling (you´ll want to cry for […] the coming days when having your old oatmeal porridge breakfast back home ... :-)!). The rooms are quite ordinary, just like any Scandic or Radisson SAS rooms I´ve tried - but the bathroom was a bit more special - and added a bit of a luxury: Both a nice shower and a jacuzzi and a thick robe... (didn´t get any slippers though!). Not very many rooms seem to have a sea view.... We had a "sea glimpse", which was ok (would have missed it a lot if I had stayed at the other side of the hotel by the parking space/ cactus desert). But we had sunshine in the morning on our balcony which was lovely. We stayed at Le Meriden in early April, and got mostly nice weather. If it was sunny (which it was 80% of the time), the temperature was around or above 20°C, which allowed some sunbathing on the lovely pool area on the hotel roof, with great views. The wind was quite cold though, which we felt immediately if the sun went behind clouds (!). We enjoyed a dip in the indoor hotel pool (spa) wich looks great, and our 3 year old loved it (free entrance for all guests I think). No children are allowed in the pool/ spa area between 12 - 18 oclock though, if I remember correctly, but we stayed outdoors during daytime anyway (doing a hop on hop off sightseeing tour, harbour cruise (included in the sightseeing) and testing the beach at "The Golden bay"). The surroundings at St. Julians and Sliema felt a bit like the French riviera (just 10 times smaller, and not so glamorous): Everything is happening along the road by the coast; hotels lined up, tourists, restaurants etc., but very quiet (apartment area for the locals) behind the hotels. We enjoyed our stay at Le Meridien St Julians Hotel & Spa and we will stay there again the next time we pay a visit to the lovely Island of Malta....Thanks to all the Staff they were very helpfull.

Hotel was really good, friendly & very helpful - good location & fantastic pool - helpful staff in bringing food to the room, when we couldn't eat it all (it was so much!) - which again brings us to say that the food was quite wonderful! Would recommend this hotel & certainly stay there again...

This is Malta thus the surrounding of the hotel is (by its nature) a bit "crammed". All was well, apart from 2 things. 1. The roomservice menue is not very diverse (too much, seafood and fish if you ask me). 2. I had huge trouble with the A/C (are these things not supposed to make heat as well????? - it is cold during winter, especially when the room […] has tile flooring - whatever I tried, no heat was coming from the A/C which is my biggest gripe. A very clean, quiet and remarkably relaxing hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and it's location to small cafe's, bars and restaurants is well worth it. The sea view is worth the extra cash as well. it's not really a 5* hotel as it lacks some of the perks you'd expect, but it is most certainly a solid and very well kept 4*. We were very happy with […] the hotel. The spa is very good as well as the facilities surrounding it. Breakfast was grand, but if you pay for a room only, don't bother with the hotel breakfast. Walk down to the water to "Bistrot" cafe on the corner, and they'll sort you breakfast for a quarter of the cost. If you arrive earlier in the day than we did, grab the public bus instead of a taxi from the airport. Taxi's are rediculous and we were stung. Mind we did also arrive well late. Anyhow, €2.60 will give you an all day pass on all buses. €2.10 will get you a 2 hour ride. The 11,12 or 13 stops outside the hotel and runs every 20 minutes from Valletta to San Ġiljan (St Julians). Very handy, so try to avoid taxi's. Leave Valletta by 4 or you'll be stuck in hours of traffic. Read more

Room was great, beds massive, but so uncomfortable, barely any sleep all week. Sea view is worth the extra money. Indoor spa, outdoors pool etc great Pool bar pricey and food is rubbish. Hotel restaurant fantastic Staff average. On the last day we found out that we were supposed to leave a note on our bed if we wanted sheets changing and clean […] towels. We were not told this, and only found out when complained. Locked out our room 3 times as problem with card system. Not what you expect from 5 star hotel. Positive: All in all very nice and modern hotel. Good location close to water, restaurants and nightlife but still a quiet location. Good service in the reception, helpfull staff and good English. Very nice and fully equipped gym and a lot of other great facilities at the hotel, especially the spa area. Negative: HSK was a bit noisy outside the room […] and even though u had a don´t disturb sign outside on the door they still knocked. They came to check the minibar quite early. The location and size of the rooms are excellent. Service is so so, they're helpful without being amazing. Also all the extras are expensive. For example breakfast costs 17 euro a day. Business hotel, not a family hotel. That was what we were told when we grumbled about the very small pool on the roof. Shame they sold us the family room upgrade on arrival. Make your minds up!! This is a superb hotel in i very nice location. Friendly staff and service at the right level. Highly recommendable.

We booked 2 rooms at this hotel which were on offer and we got a good deal through Hotels.com. On arrival, we were allocated standard rooms overlooking the car park but decided to splash out and pay the extra for a sea view executive floor room. We were shown around the Exec Lounge but decided not to subscribe to the extra charge as the kitchen area […] looked uninviting and it was nothing special for the cost. To be fair the standard rooms were nice enough if you are not bothered about the view. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean although the balcony was permanently covered in a layer of dust (hazard of the weather) but could have been given a bit more attention. It was in a great location for getting out and about with free parking. We ate in the restaurant on the Maltese evening but it was a little disappointing but there's lots of nice restaurants in the area. The build yourself burgers in the bar are the best ever. I wouldn't rate it a 5* hotel but a decent 4*. We tried the spa and enjoyed the facilities for an afternoon and used the roof top garden area to relax although the pool area did get quite busy with limited sunbeds. Definitely not 5 star. Although roomy and comfortable, the standard of the rooms and service were 4star. For what we paid it was good value. The bar was expensive - 11 Euros for two bottles of water, but half price happy hour was good. The outdoor pool is on the roof - 12th floor. The bar and restaurant facilities there were closed. This hotel is situated in a central area with lovely views of St Julians Bay from most rooms. It is well worth paying extra to upgrade to a room with a sea view. The staff were very friendly , helpful and efficient. The room was beautifully furnished and the bed was very comfortable. We did not experience any noise from the road. The bus stopped near […] to the hotel and the promenade followed the Bay round to a wide selection of restaurants and shops. It was also a pleasant walk to Sliema where we caught the ferry to Valletta. The hotel also provided both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and there was an excellent spa and beauty salon. There were two main areas on the roof to sunbathe and enjoy the views over the harbour. We would strongly recommend this hotel to future visitors. Read more

I read many of the reviews others posted about this hotel. Some seemed like silly complaints so I ignored d the negative reviews and booked a stay. I'm very glad I did-the hotel was very nice, rooms clean and fresh, beautiful view of the water from our room, location was great with a lot of good restaurants just a few blocks away. The room we'd booked turned out to be overlooking the car park so we decided to upgrade to a sea view. After some bartering we ended up paying an extra twenty euros per night (we were there for a week) for a bigger room with a sea view and a balcony - an extra expense which was well worth it. However, once we'd transferred, we found that the aircon […] did not work in the new room, plus the balcony door was fault and the room generally smelled slightly damp. These issues were eventually addressed (the staff we courteous and ever helpful) and we negotiated a further discount of the upgrade fee - so a good result all round. The hotel has a great view over Balutta Bay and we enjoyed the one meal we had in the Sirocco restaurant very much indeed - a fabulous, fresh and generous selection (we counted 21 pudding varieties on offer!) and very good value for money. The spa provided a welcome option whenever the weather let us down. All in all the hotel did us proud and we would happliy go back. Read more

Booked this hotel at the last minute and have no complaints - view from my room (which was a classic room) not too great, overlooking the back of another building but apart from that no complaints.

Tres tres déçus hotel mal organise un coup ils oublient les serviettes. Ils nous ont fais descendre a la réception pour une bouteille d'eau payée 5,5€. Vue sur mur en plein travaux bruits d'ouvrier internet extrêmement cher. Petit déjeuner très mauvaise qualité. Le cafe est infecte et on vous demande 1€ si du coup vous demander un expresso. Fint hotell som har alla bekvämligheter. Bra läge på hotellet, något överspänd men trevlig personal. Härlig SPA-avdelning med barnfria tider.

8月下旬に、デラックスフロアのシービューの部屋に宿泊しました。 テラスからの眺めもよく、清掃もきれいにされており、快適にすごせました。 お部屋では、冷蔵庫の中にある飲み物を動かすと課金されます。チェックアウトの際に、利用したかどうかを尋ねられますが、その際に利用していないことを告げれば、課金をされていても、お金を払う必要はありませんでした。 近くにレストラン・ジェラートのお店・スーパーもあり、 ホテルの近隣で過ごすのに不便ありません。 バス停も目の前ですので、移動も楽でした。 また、海沿いの道は朝も夕方もお散歩にもぴったりです。海沿いの至るところで日焼けや海水浴を楽しんでいる人を目にしますし、「バカンス」感も満喫できるのではないでしょうか。

Vi var på bryllupsreise på Malta i september, og bodde 1 uke på Le Meridien St. Julians Hotel & Spa. Hotellet ligger rett ved Balluta Bay, hvor det er veldig fint å bade for både store og små. Vi var meget fornøyde med alle fasilitetene på hotellet, og ikke minst med den særdeles gode servicen vi fikk under oppholdet. Den første dagen ble vi servert […] kaker og champagne på rommet, som en hyggelig gest fordi vi var på bryllupsreise. Det var air-condition på rommet, koselig balkong med utsikt til havet, og ellers svært rolig og fredelig. Det var busstopp like nedenfor hotellet, så det var alltid lett å komme seg dit man ønsket. Hotellet er enkelt å finne, selv når man ankommer St.Julians for første gang. Betjeningen på hotellet sto virkelig på hodet for at vi skulle ha en perfekt ferie. Men jag skulle inte rekommendera det för barnfamiljer, inomhuspoolen i anslutning till SPA tillåter inte barn efter kl 12:00, poolen på taket kunde dock användas, men där låg hotellgäster för att vila och läsa böcker - de såg inte riktigt ut att uppskatta döttrarnas bomber… Gymmet var exceptionellt bra för att ligga i ett […] hotell. Hotellet är bra. Det har allt man behöver. Tyvärr är dock inte kvaliteten på allt så hög. Det kändes som man hade sett till att ha allt som behövs för att vara ett femstjärnigt hotell, men kvaliteten sedan inte riktigt fanns. Som exempel kan nämnas att hotellet fortfarande har tjock-TV som man säkert hittat billigt, men man har ju TV i alla rum. Poolen […] på taket är liten, men det finns en utomhuspool. Läget på hotellet är dock mycket bra. Det är enkelt att gå till Sliema och man kan även gå till Sliema och ta båten till Valletta. Praktiskt! Fri parkering ingår i rumspriset vilket är praktiskt. Hyrbil är bra, men man måste vara beredd på att det är vänstertrafik och inte automatlåda, vilket gjorde att man får praktisera att växla med vänster hand. Zu grosses Hotel, Lifts dauernd besetzt, ellenlange Wartezeiten, und das Schlimmste: jeden Tag unerträgliche Sounds in den Liften. 5 Minuten auf den Lift warten, wenns gut geht, und dann noch Gelächter aus den Liftlautsprechern, oder einfach nur applaudierende Menschen, pfeifende Vögel oder Wasserfall-Sound in einer Lautstärke, dass man sich in einem […] Irrenhaus wähnt und verzeifelt hofft, hier nie im Lift stecken zu bleiben - das alles ist ein Nogo! Absolut keine Ablagemöglichkeit in den Badezimmern -> Kulturbeutel in Gottes Namen auf den Boden gestellt -> kein 5-Sterne-Niveau! Kein Stromanschluss für den Haarfön im Bad, der Hotelfön befindet sich in der Schublade des Sekretärs vor dem Bett, Spiegel dort nur begrenzt und in Sitzhöhe-> toll! Denn jeder trocknet und stylt sich selbvstverständlich die Haare erstens im Sitzen und zweiten direkt vor dem Bett, so dass möglichst viele Haare nachher auf dem Bett und Teppichboden landen! Wer erfindet so was? Positiv: das separate WC. Aber auch hier: Nur einfach ein Klo, wer sich danach die Hände waschen will, und das werden wohl hoffentlich die meisten, muss ins Bad. Ein kleines Waschbecken wäre im WC wirklich kein Luxus. Wirklich mühsam: Executive Standard, heisst etwas grössere Zimmer und weitere "Annehmlichkeiten", so steht es jedenfalls im Internet. In der Realität sieht es dann so aus, dass die vielfach gepriesene Terrasse nur für Executive-Room-Residents, auf welcher angeblich Frühstück wie auch Snacks und Drinks serviert würden, ein länglicher und komplett unbedienter Balkon war, auf welchem bei unserer Ankunft nicht mal überall Sitzkissen auf den wenigen, an der Wand stehenden Möbeln lagen, ganz abgesehen von Tischen bei den Bänken oder ähnlichem. Auch keinerleit Sonnenschirme oder -schutz vorhanden, wie gesagt, alles völlig unbewirtschaftet. Keine Ahnung, wann da das letzte Mal irgend ein Gast bewirtet wurde. Underbart läge! Nära till restauranger och nattliv, bad, promenadsstråk utan att vara för lyhört. Andra gånger vi bor på det hotellet och lika nöjda denna gång. Underbar hotellfrukost! Fantastisk utsikt från poolområdet! Enda väldigt irriterande är hissarna som kryper fram och sen kan det vara krångligt att det inte finns tillgång till trådlöst internet. Hotellet ligger flott til i St.Julian,med kort avstand til Pacevill og Sliema.Hotellet er stort med både basseng inne og ute,fitnessavdelingen tilbyr gruppetimer for de som vil trene.Rommene var store og med en liten balkong som det gikk og sitte ute på.

Aucune information sur les travaux en cours juste à côté et autour de l'hotel. A peine arrivée, j'ai demandé à la récéption le changement de chambre loin des travaux mais on m'a fait patienter une demi-heure car personne de disponible pour me faire visiter la nouvelle chambre. J'ai dû trouver moi même une personne de disponible en insistant auprès du […] concièrge pour pouvoir enfin me poser dans une chambre. La chambre proposée était adaptée à une personne handicapée avec 2 lits séparés alors que j'avais bien insisté sur le fait d'avoir un grand lit. Je me suis donc rendue à nouveau à la réception où on m'a promis le changement de lit dans la soirée. Le soir venu, j'ai dû rapellé et insisté avant que l'on m'envoi 2 personnes qui sont juste venues rapprochés les 2 lits. J'ai donc dû encore réclamer pour qu'on comprenne enfin que je souhaitai une chambre double avec un vrai grand lit et ce loin des travaux. Celà m'a été accordé plus tard dans la soirée après que le management m'est rapellé et à qui j'ai dû rééxpliquer ma demande à plusieurs reprises. Je suis donc bien sûr extrèmement déçu de l'accueil et du service d'autant que j'avais déjà séjourné dans un hotel 5 étoiles à Malte où les prestations étaient bien supérieures. Read more
