I stayed in this hotel for five nights. The first three were with a colleague and the room was less than desirable (10th floor). It was entirely too small, particularly with respect to counter space in the bathroom and the shower--I felt like I was in a phone booth). The next two nights were by myself and the experience couldn't have been more different. […] The room was unbelievable (23rd floor). The staff throughout the hotel was great--very friendly and accommodating; although they will try to up-sell you when you check in--I think this is standard practice in Asia since it also happened in Beijing and Shanghai. I also think that charging U.S. seventy dollars for a rollaway is absurd. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Wanted to charge us US$70 extra for a third bed when we had already paid $70 extra for a third person in the room. Will ream to get wifi in the room. "good price but worn out rooms"
the hotel lobby looks promising but the rooms just seemer dingy or worn out...the bed skirts were visibly dirty around the bottom and the shower curtain was moldy at places. also, maybe because we booked on expedia, we got a room that was between the sevice elevator and the other two elevator banks and also next to a curtained storage area. got the […] same location even after we switched rooms because the toilet wasn't working. it felt like we were staying in a storage area. also the hotel is directly across from a cemetery, so all windows onthat side are frosted so you can't see outside. not sure what else you can get for the price. but may want to consider other options more fully Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Response by Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments. We regret to know that the reserved room didn’t quite meet your expectation this time. While there are actually various room types available measuring up to 48 sq. m., we hope you will have the chance to try our newly renovated Grand Deluxe Room on your next visit. "Decent Hotel walking distance to city life."
Getting to the hotel was quiet easy from Hong Kong train station, with no traffic only $35 HKD ($5us) plan for $50. The bell boys are efficient and will get a taxi very quickly. The Hotel provides a shuttle every 30 mins from 7:15 am until about 8 pm. Renovation is incomplete so if you are assigned an old room complain, I did and got a pleasant surprise. […] The new rooms are very nice and standard size for a boutique hotel. There is a full service restaurant on the premise and hotel guest are half price. Public transport is everywhere, don't rent a car unless you need to after you get there. I enjoyed my stay and will stay visit again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Response by Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong Dear Hendra, Thank you for your comments. We regret to know that some of hotel facilities didn’t meet your expectation this time. We trust the toilet issue you encountered was only an occasional case and immediate investigation has been arranged to avoid the same from happening again. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. On the other hand, we are happy to share with you that the newly refurbished Grand Deluxe Room is available at our hotel now, which will surely impress you with its new design and thoughtful in-room amenities upon your next visit. We look forward to welcoming you back for another refreshing stay very soon.
"Too expensive for the average service"
The exterior was old and dirty, not visually appealing. Interior was nicely decorated. Rooms were very small, but decor was modern. Elevators are extremely slow. WIFI is not included in your room and costed an extra 20 USD / night. Breakfast buffet was okay and small. For the price of the hotel, you are better off spending $10 USD more for something […] like the Marriott or other big hotel chains. Here comes the worst part of the hotel... I had concierge book me car service from the hotel to the train station. The Cosmopolitan Hotel accidentally told the car service that my drop off was at the airport. I miss my (6) pre-booked, non-refundable train tickets because the car service went to the airport. In addition, the car service company, contracted to the Cosmopolitan Hotel, did not help me and my 5 guests with unloading our 17 suitcases. Overall, the experience, especially the concierge service, was very poor. I would recommend any guest to a bigger, chain hotel for their stay in HK. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong Dear Guest, Thank you for your valuable feedback. Your comment towards the breakfast is well noted and we will look into it for future improvement. Regarding the in-room Wi-Fi, apart from the daily rate plan, we also offer flexible hourly rates to cater to different guests’ needs. Yet, we would like to thank for your kind suggestion on this. "Not the best choice in Hong Kong"
You can respect this hotel only for one thing, they are extremely consistent. They cheated at all. Amenities you receive as Elite Plus Member is: breakfast 50% discount coupon (but breakfast is awful and overpriced), 1 free drink per guest (but drinks are serving in bar nearby and it`s beer or juice). And the best is the exchange rate at hotel lobby, […] it was 7 Hong Kong Dollars to 1 USD (everywhere it was about 7.7). The rooms is small but clean. Bare electric wire sticking out of the wall of bathroom just add this hotel a little charm. You can say - You get what You pay for, but this hotel is not cheap. Response by Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong Dear Dmitry, Thank you for your feedback. First of all, we are sorry that the breakfast quality didn’t meet your expectation this time. We will surely work with the restaurant manager to improve both the food quality and variety and deliver great values of money. As for the free drink inclusive in your room package, the bar is actually located at our sister property, Cosmo Hotel, which is just one block away. We hope to bring our guests like you a relaxing ambiance while enjoying the free drink. On the other hand, we appreciate your kind understanding that currency exchange rate is varying from one place to another, and the rate we offer is within the recommended range by the bank, yet we hope we did bring you great convenience offering this service in the premises. Lastly, we trust the issue of electric wire is only an occasional case and our staff will be reminded to ensure this will not be happening again. Thank you again for your comments and we look forward to welcoming you back for another promising stay soon.

"Not bad, but not good either...."
The rooms have very little natural light because the windows have been 'covered' to hide the views of the cemetery which is a shame. The beds are also very firm/hard which seems to be the norm in Asia. My request for a quiet room got me a room next to the elevator on the 3rd floor -- it was as if they went out of their way to give me a noisy room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong Dear Guest, Thanks for your comment. I booked a queen bed room, but when i check in front desk gave me a two small beds, and saying there's no more queen bed. front desk said they will ask house keeping to put two bed together. i asked if there will be at least a pad on top so we will not sleep on the gap/crack. front desk said they will do it. then when i get to the room house keeping […] said they cannot do it until the next morning. i only staying for one night, so that was useless. room is super small. shower is tiny with a curtain hanging. you cannot shower with arms fully extend. even though hotel is located in city center, but since it separated with multiple road conjunction, you need to get up and down subways a couple times to get to the hotel. the worst is the window is blocked by translucency films and fixed. meaning there's no view. after i check.out the reason they blocked windows is because the hotel is facing cemetery next to it. i was on 20th floor. the worst of the worst is on the next morning around 930am, there's heavy renovation on upper floors, that was not acceptable. can't they at least wait until guest check out!!!!!! there's two pros about this hotel: housekeeping lady were polite and nice. the ac is good. "Loved the hotel and Hong Kong is the BEST!!!"
If you are new to Hong Kong definitely give this hotel a try. It is what it is. It's not the Ritz Carlton but it's also not $500/night. My wife and I stayed there along with four friends and we absolutely loved it. The staff went above and beyond any requests that we had and were very friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and the water pressure […] was AWESOME!!! The hotel is conveniently located near public transportation and if you do not want to walk to the subway there is a complimentary shuttle that will take you there. We had so many questions each day and we would simply walk to the concierge in the morning and they would map out where to go and how to get there. "Pleasant, fair-priced hotel in a good location"
Location is fair, though is a 15-20 minute walk from the MTR subway system. "Excellent value, exceeds expectations"
I just returned from my third trip to Hong Kong, the best so far and made all the more enjoyable by an excellent hotel experience at the Cosmopolitan. Regarding most matters, the hotel exceeded my expectations for accommodations at such a reasonable price level: 1. We had a late arrival time, and despite showing up at the hotel at 2:40 in the morning, […] the hotel staff checked us in quickly and with no problems. 2. Staff were always friendly, fast and helpful, especially with regard to requests for additional items for the room (shampoo, laundry bags, speedy removal of an extra bed that we no longer needed, and a replacement room key) and for help with transportation. 3. The hotel provided us with complimentary shuttle services to central locations in Hong Kong, making getting around easier. 4. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with plenty of choices both Western and Chinese and good overall quality. In addition, room upkeep is quite good, there are some nice views from upper floors, and the location is very convenient. Closest MTR station is Causeway Bay, not Wan Chai. I will definitely consider staying at the Cosmopolitan next time I go to Hong Kong. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"OK, if you want to waste money on taxis"
The location of the hotel was good only if you could use the shuttle from the Hong Kong subway station (or used taxis). For walking, it was close to impossible to find one's way--and the concierge staff was nearly useless when it came to providing comprehensible directions. We wandered for over an hour trying to find a restaurant they directed us to--and […] that included going back twice for clarification (yes, we were going in circles). They gave us totally inaccurate directions to another restaurant the next day--and we had to ask several more times after we found the street--before being guided to another restaurant entirely by a kindly building manager.
