The Bridge Hotel and Spa - North Yorkshire (county)

My son and I stayed here on Dec. 21 and 22, 2011. We enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean. Nice showers and excellent hot tub and spa facility. When we arrived the rollaway we ordered was not in our room and the room smelled like fresh paint; the receptionist was most accommodating and gave us another room that was larger, had an extra bed, and […] smelled pleasantly paint-free. Only trouble was that the room was not as warm as we would have expected. The radiator did not reach a desirable temperature and when I asked for it to be checked, whether it had or not, we were cold on the second night, too. Be sure to check out the walk on the other side of the hotel. Make a left outside the front entrance, walk past some of the houses and a few horse fields, turn right at the large gates and there is a lovely country walk on the side of the hotel that stretches probably at least a mile, maybe a lot more - only had time to walk for about fifteen - twenty minutes, but the fields and the trees were very pastoral and the paved drive was an added benefit with possible rain. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and service was great. The restaurant was also very good. The only drawback is that it is in the countryside, so it's not very convenient. Though if you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is definitely your spot!

The hotel was really nice and comfortable. The food very good and reasonable pricing. The drawback was the 10 o`clock check out. Too early and if we had seen this we would not have booked it. No time for a shower.

Bathroom had a lot of cobwebs in it, also the paintwork was certainly not painted by a professional and needed attention The shower was powerful but moody in its temperature. The sounds from the upstairs bedroom was far too much, it sounded like they were going to fall through the ceiling. The restaurant was very good and the staff superb

One of the best hotels we stayed in. Room very nice, spa access was great and the restaurant food was amazing. Location was great, no noise at all. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone having a romantic getaway. The only regret is we could only stayed the one night. 5 out of 5.

Did what it said on the tin, impressive exterior and modern rooms. Tea and coffee facilities only adequate small and noisy room throughout the night though. Some kind of machinery in the hall made a racket!

The hotel spa is subject to availability and we was told it was unavailable, but we got a phone call to our room telling us they will keep it open longer for us.The treatment rooms were closed but we had the spa to our selves. Relaxing Thank you.

The main reason I booked this hotel was because it was close to where my next days appointments where and it was right next to the main roads. The promise of free internet is also one of the main conditins determining whetehr I will stay. Yes there was FREE internet but the only place where I could connect was when I was stood next to the receptionist […] with my laptop in my hands!!! NO good when you have private work you would like to finish. The receptionist who checked me in assured me it was working fine and shouldn't be a hassle. I'm sorry but it was rubbish and they might as well not have bothered. The receptionist who checked me out told me when I complained that they have had hassle with the internet for ages and "everyone complains" Don't you think it is time to sort out the routers here!!!!!! A beautiful hotel minutes from the M1 and 15 minutes from a Park & Ride where, for a small fee, you can ride into York. WiFi was available in our room (27) if we sat at the window. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
