"great location, wonderful kitchen"
hotel was comfortable and in great location by Sorbonne and Mouffetard. Kitchen fully equipped. Staff very helpful but inexperienced when we needed boarding passes. Great firm brand new mattresses. Housekeepers not very good, ie kitchen floor only cleaned 3x in a 14 day stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was not pleaed as hotel did not fit the photos used on website. Two staff members were great. sachi and clementine. "Less than expected"
I was disappointed because the Hotel did not look like the photo on the website. At least as far as the lobby and the rooms. Looks like the room photo was taken when the Hotel was in its prime. Photos in the elevator show a great big staircase. Listed as amenities were washer/dryer. I did inquire at the desk but received blank looks. No one knew what […] I was talking about. We found there was no area on the first floor to grab a tea or coffee. Although at one time there was a small eating area, but upon our visit we saw empty tables and chairs. The rooms were not updated and need to be. Lamps, carpet and bedspread outdated. Hotel was shabby in some areas and in desperate need of a make over. The rooms did have a cleaning lady. Hallways were dark. There were 2 staff members that were very helpful. Clementine and Sachi. The other fellow was new and did not know too much. I think this hotel has lots of potential but needs new management. The lobby and reception area are in need of some major upgrade. Our room was small and the kitchen was used but one had to stand in the kitchen. It might be helpful to put some stools or chairs so you can enjoy eating in there, The area is very nice and quiet as it is residential. Easy to get to train and not too far from Notre Dame and the Pantheon. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved having two bedrooms and a little kitchen"
We enjoyed our stay. With a family, it was nice to have a little more room for our downtime during the hot Paris summer. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony and having the ability to do laundry. It was fun to be in a neighborhood and experience local shops as well as the proximity to the Luxembourg garden. It was an easy metro trip into the Notre […] Dame area, but a little more of a ride with some line changes to get to the Eiffel tower. The staff was very pleasant. It could be a bit loud on Friday and Saturday evenings due to the cafe down the street. The beds were not the most comfortable, although typical for Europe, and the sheets were scratchy. "Great location, convenient, but no AC"
Just stayed at the quaint Villa Daubenton. Convenient family style room (accommodated 4 adults). Bathroom is small and also houses the WC which can be a little challenging when juggling 4 people's needs. Rates are competitive by Parisian standards. Staff is friendly. Our biggest issue was the lack of AC and cheap fans. When it is hot (middle of summer), […] be aware that your room will be hard to keep cool. That said we loved our stay and would certainly book again (and, when the temperatures are at a high, perhaps ask for twice as many fans as the two that come with the room). "Great place for family stay in Paris"
Nice hotel staff except the night staff. Spoke good English. Very helpful. Hotel was clean and in a quite area. No air conditioning, so had to open the windows at night. Close to train station which made it easy to get to anywhere in Paris. Great location close to Latin quarters. Rooms were very nice sized for a family of 4.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great Hotel for family."
We thought this was a lovely hotel in a very central location. Just minutes from friendly cafes, some of the main attractions and the metro, it was ideal for us. The staff were great. We had three rooms, one of which had no hot water, causing delays. This was fixed and they gave a free breakfast for all 6 of us. We would love to stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Loved this place!"
My boyfriend and I stayed seven nights in room 402. The location is great, on a quiet side street near the Mouffetard Market. We bought food there several times and used the kitchen in our room. We arrived early-around 10 a.m. and were pleasantly surprised that we were able to check in immediately. The staff were all friendly. Ilir helped us with airport […] shuttle arrangements, as we had to be at Orly for a 7:40 a.m. flight on Sunday. He also helped me print our boarding passes, which was convenient, as I did not bring a laptop or cell phone. Our room faced the street, and there was a little noise in the morning during the week when children were being dropped off at the elementary school across the street-around 8:30 a.m. I'm pretty sensitive to noise, and this did not bother me. We will definitely stay here again while visiting Paris! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Budet friendly in the Latin Quarter"
Practical budget friendly hotel in the Latin Quarter of Paris. More like an apartment than a hotel, but it did have a nice sized kitchen and a washing machine. Had plenty of room for four people. Three block walk to the Censier-Daubenton Metro station and a two block walk to Rue Mouffetard which has a lot of food options and a town market type of feel. "Good value for families"
We needed room for four adults for a reasonable price, not the easiest task in Paris. we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious room and the kitchen was an added benefit. "Great alternative for families seeking space."
Despite being a little difficult to find we were very happy with our apartment. Good size for the location and rate. Lots of little cafes and bars nearby and close to the metro. "Our stay at Daubenton"
The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood, very close to the local market and supermarket. Not too far from the nearest station if you know how to take the shortest route. 4 of us stayed in the suite, 2 foldable beds were put in the LR (no sofa). But the bathroom is located inside the bedroom so it is a bit not so convenient. Other than that we enjoyed […] our stay. "Good value, big rooms"
The studio rooms were very large by Paris standards. We had one regular studio on the 3rd floor and an apartment room on the 4th floor. The apartment room is a studio with an additional bedroom with its own bath. The info says tubs only, no showers, but all three of our baths had tubs with the hand-held shower units that also fit in a holder on the […] wall, so it was about the same as having a shower. The window didn't open in one room, but that was the only maintenance issue. The neighborhood felt safe and we were only 5 or six blocks from the Metro and about 4 blocks from the Muffatard area where there are some very good restaurants. 24-hour bilingual desk staff were courteous and arranged a cab to the airport for us on our departure. Ok hotel, but not all that impressed with the cleanliness. Like most hotel rooms in Paris, the carpet was badly in need of cleaning. One could say "what do you expect", but the carpet does set the tone for the whole place. Overall, the place is fine, I would say. The large apartments have enough room to spread out and the kitchenettes are perfectly […] usable, so one does not need to go out every night. The hotel was a little hard to find after a long day of travel but we were pleasantly surprised by how big the room (really an apartment) was. It was quiet and the service was great. "Nice apartment in a good location"
Four of us stayed here for 5 nights. We stayed in apartment 403 on the fourth floor, which had one master bedroom, 2 singe beds in the living room, and 2 bathrooms. All in all, it was a pleasant stay for an excellent price. Pros: A fairly large space. 2 bathrooms.Nice location in the Latin quarter, very close to the Rue Mouffetard market (where you […] can get everything from fruit, fresh bread, nice wines, great selection of cheeses etc.), and a 5 minutes walk away to the Metro. A large number of good restaurants in 5-20 minutes walking distance, ranging from fairly inexpensive to pretty pricey. 24 hour front desk, with very nice and helpful staff (a special thanks to George!). A balcony, even though it looked into other close by buildings. Cons: Master bedroom has 2 single beds instead of 1 double bed; they joined them together with a mattress on the top, but not comfortable. The 2 single beds in the living room meant there was no furniture there except the dining table and chairs. The kitchenette was tiny. Both the showers were OK but not great: master bathroom only had a hand-held one, while the shower in the other bathroom was also a hand-held one which could be fixed to the wall, but the pressure was pretty low. While the internet was fast enough, they have a system where you get logged out if there is no activity for a couple of hours, and then you have to go through the login procedure again: annoying. We would probably stay here again if coming back to Paris. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Spacious hotel in a superb location"
The size of the appartment compared to other hotel rooms in Paris in that prize range was enormous. We stayed very comfortably with 4 people in the two bedroom appartment. The part we enjoyed most however was the location. If you wish to stay in a quiet part of town and if you aren’t too particular about luxury, this is definitely one of the best places to stay in Paris! A little bit noisy (an other room was under repairment...starting very early) with the difference in time it was uncomfortable. Wireless internet did not work. "Great location, but not impressed with the amenitites"
The apartment is situated in a great location. It is within walking distance to the metro, the local open markets, bakeries, and shops. The two bedroom apartment we had was fairly clean and spacious. However, I was expecting more for the price. The bath tub/shower was raised so high off the ground that I was very worried about slipping and falling out […] of the tub. I would not recommend this to anyone who has a weak back and legs. We had a 5 night stay and our room was on the 5th floor. Through our entire stay, the elevator was out of service. It was a painful experience to lug our big suitcases up the small, spiral, and dirty stair case. Trust me, after a long day of chasing the metros and walking for hours to get from one place to another in Paris, you would feel the pain of having to deal with another climb of 5 flights of stairs. "Comfortable landing-place in a great neighbourhood"
We just completed a 6-night stay in Paris and were very happy with this choice. It's a good combination of a safe, quiet location on a back street but with walking distance to major attractions, easy access to the Metro and great shopping and food nearby. In fact, one of the unexpected highlights of our trip was just enjoying the neighbourhood, which […] has several unadvertised backstreets lined with restaurants and vendors, very lively in the evening. Although we didn't realize this until we got home, Rue Mouffetard (just around the corner from the hotel) has its own entry on Wikipedia as a lively place to visit. The hotel itself is basic, but the room was spacious (by Paris standards), clean and well-equipped. Our only complaint would be with the service, which varied from friendly-but-confused to parisian-style-surly, but this wasn't a show-stopper. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Kept Secret"
Our stay was one week in a one bedroom apt at Residence Villa Daubenton. The hotel was clean and definitely fitted our needs as we were able to cook and do laundry, a plus for Paris. At first we were disappointed that we weren't more centrally located in the Latin Quarter but soon […] discovered 3 blocks away Mouffetard Market. The market was amazing for fruits, vegetables, meat and breads and anything else you would need for your stay. The plus were the restaurants that lined the street in the Market. "Spacious, clean, but depressingly cheap 1-2* decor"
On the plus side, the rooms are very spacious, much much larger than your typical Paris hotel. On the minus, the decor, furniture and carpeting is very very cheap, just above a youth hostel, between 1 and 2* - clean, new, but dispiritngly cheap and empty-feeling. E.g. two of the beds were a basic metal-frame with a mattress on top, table with no tablecloth. (Although […] the TVs were large new plasmas/LCDs). The hotel reception is also very small and basic (think 1960s state school).
