"The B Roppongi"
I had reserved a non smoking room, upon Check-In I was assigned a non smoking room and told no non smoking rooms were available at my price. I stated that was not acceptable since the room was reserved and paid for 2-3 weeks in advance. The second response from the hotel was to offer a discount for the smoking room, I held my ground and stated this […] was not acceptable on the third response I received a room on a non smoking floor. Also the airconditioning system was set to heat and cooling was no longer an option. During the day the thermostat read 29C = 85C which was very uncomfortable for sleeping at night. Opening the window led to lots of road noise from cars and trains. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I got a rather large room, for rather small cost. The hotel is clean - not fancy but worth the price. Fantastic location close to Metro.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great choice for tourists in Tokyo"
very convenient hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful to an english speaker. I would recommend highly since close to the subway and lots of choices for restaurants and convenience foods (7/11 and Family Mart) are minutes away. Breakfast was substantial with lots of choice. Recommend highly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great central location, rooms barely average"
The b roppongi is no luxury hotel. The location can't be beat for night life. I was in Tokyo to see a show at Tokyo Midtown & go dancing at salsa clubs and they were all within minutes walk! So, convenience is very high for nightlife. The hotel itself, however dressed up in its ads and pictures, is pretty mediocre. I was at the ANA International for […] a few nights too & that was much nicer for similar price and only a few blocks walk down. The "b" has wireless in lobby, only wired internet in the modestly appointed rooms. The bed was comfortable. Small desk and TV. There is a machine in the hallway to buy a "TV card" - must be credit for some programming? Anyway, the bathroom is just so-so with supplied large bottles (for continued use) of soap, shampoo, but no lotion, very small thin towels. No robes, one PJ supplied. There was a very foul smell coming from the toilet when flushed - something like the water supply was different for that. Not pleasant. Very small room safe that was not even big enough for my tiny netbook. Room was generally clean. The included breakfast was mediocre & the breakfast room only has stools. For the average traveler, it is great for location and adequate for lodging, but the "b" is by no means a luxury or even upper level hotel. Staff was pretty good for helping with directions, etc. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Clean, convenient hotel when travelling light."
Positive is that the hotel is clean, relatively quiet (given its location) and is conveniently located near to Roppongi metro station exit 5. The rooms are not large but are adequate and the beds are comfortable. A reasonably good Western/Japanese breakfast buffet is included in the price. On the downside, if you have a lot of luggage you may find the […] rooms too small. Also, exit 5 has no lift or escalator so you have to drag your stuff to and from the Roppongi Hills entrance/exit. Also the hotel doesn't seem to have a separate room to deposit your luggage so if you arrive early or check out and want to leave the luggage at the hotel to explore Tokyo, the bags will have to sit in the main corridor with just netting over them for protection. If you have teenagers in tow and are getting fed up with Japanese food try the Outback steak restaurant about 1 minute walk from the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"disappointing. don't recommend."
if you want surly service, a tiny room, and a low quality breakfast, this hotel is perfect. surprisingly bad. location however is great. in Tokyo, typically the service is at least good if not great, even at a less expensive property. however check in staff treated me like a door to door salesmanGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bugger than expected"
The room and the breakfasts, which were included in our room charges, were both considerably bigger than we expected. If I have any negatives about the room it would be that it was a little "tired" but it was thoroughly cleaned every day. Breakfast choices were generous and varied. All the staff were friendly and some became unofficial guides working […] out travel alternatives to interesting spots. My feelings about the area are a little more mixed. The hotel is very close to two subway lines so transport is easy but it is an inner city night tourist destination replete with ouer-priced restaurants and immigrant touts soliciting for the night-trade. "Near Roppongi Hills"
It's advertised as B for Bed, Breakfast, and Business. You get all that. It was a surprisingly clean hotel with a nice bathroom, easy access to the internet, and great location if you're near Ropponggi Hills. If you don't have the budget to go with the Hyatt, this is a simple, no frills alternative. Oh and I appreciated the fact that they had coin laundry […] on the second floor. A nice perk if you're traveling long. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, great breakfast and excellent mattress"
I will stay this hotel again in my next visit in Tokyo. Good locations, great breakfast, excellent mattress. My room is just next to elevator and facing main street. But I don't really hear the noise. Please be sure you request no smoking room when do the reservation if you hate the smell. My friend forgot to do that. But they still helped her to change […] to another room. However, it is based on the availability. The mattress is really great. I love it. The location is not at the best session of Roppongi but still good. Though there are many "clubs" near-by, after all it's Tokyo, I didn't feel dangerous or threaten when I'm myself. For your information, there is only stair way at the closest metro exit to hotel. If you have heavy luggage, it's a hard work for this part. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"THIS AMERICAN LOVED IT!"
From the free breakfast and free internet to the clean rooms and courteous, English-speaking staff, you cannot go wrong with this hotel in such a trendy Tokyo Location. There was a complimentary coffee machine in the lobby at all times... great for jet-lag. For traveling to other parts of Tokyo, the Roppongi train station was only a 60 second walk from […] the front door. The rooms were very quiet with no street noise to be heard while sleeping. Although rooms, of course, are smaller than in USA, this is absolutely the standard in Tokyo with all hotels. I read some complaints about the street market-eers attempting to present their clubbing experience to you. This is true, but they did it in a polite manner with smiles on their faces. I wasn't into the clubbing scene so if you are not either, just tell them that you live in Las Vegas and are taking a break from beautiful women and hangovers! They just laugh and moved on to the next guy. I will be staing in the B Roppongi again and based upon my experience at this hotel, I will seek out all B Hotels in the chain for future visits whenever possible! Thank You, The B Roppongi! "Great Hotel in Roppongi!"
I really enjoyed my stay at The B Roppongi! I stayed in the double room, the room was great but a bit small. The hotel service was very nice and helpful. The hotel is like 2 minutes away from the subway station. The free breakfast was delicious and the kitchen staff was very nice :). "B Rappongi -- Clean and comfortable!"
The B was such a nice hotel. The desk staff was helpful and courteous, the room was clean with a comfortable bed. They even had free espresso available at all times. And the complimentary breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The only negative was with the neighborhood -- we wanted a fun, happening area but didn't realize that Rappongi was more of […] a touristy/ext-pat area then a place where the locals go to party. But the hotel was convenient to the trains and there were a lot of restaurants and shops in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I went to this hotel for a work trip and it was well located (on the grey Hibayi line exit #5) for my purposes. The neighborhood was okay, but you should be aware it is very much full of nightclubs and such, so its loud at night. The room was nice enough but only had wired internet (not wifi), there was no business center and you have to pay extra just […] to use the television. Not my idea of a modern business hotel, as it purports to be. There was only one outlet in the room so I had to choose between plugging in my laptop and my cell phone when both needed charging. The staff was nice enough but I didn't really ask them for anything. The breakfast was just okay, bread (literally, slices of bread) eggs, veggies, yogurt and cereal. No fresh fruit. Coffee was not what I am used to in Asia (e.g. it was like blah diner coffee in the US instead of rich stuff I love). So it was fine for the price and location, not great, not bad. I would probably spend a little more to get a real business hotel next time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Terrible, terrible hotel."
I was enraged by my stay here. The b bills itself as a 3 star business hotel. That couldn't be further from the truth. The property was without the following: iron/ironing board overnight laundry service hot water in the bathroom sink (shower, yes, sink, no) soap sheets (comforter, yes, but if it's too hot for three inches of feathers, you're out of […] luck.) opaque curtains (everyone on the busy street outside could see in your room--all the time) free tv (you have to pay for tv at a 3 star hotel?) kleenex (toilet tissue only) adults (every staff member over my three day stay appeared to be under 21) I arrived wrinkled and rumpled but ready to meet clients the morning after my arrival. I requested an iron for my room, and was told "tomorrow." I checked the next morning, and they said it was "missing" but that they would look for it. A few hours later it was "out of order." Dry cleaning is returned to you the end of the day after the day you turn it in, so that was no hope, either. I finally ended up going to the nearest appliance store and purchasing an iron for 30,000 yen. Next problem: I was involuntarily "upgraded" from the double bedded room I reserved to a room with a twin bed. How that's an upgrade, I don't know. The upgraded room was on the second floor above a busy two level street--very noisy, but worse, the curtains were completely see thorough. There was absolutely no privacy unless you locked yourself in the bathroom. The neighborhood is exceptionally sketchy, you can't walk down the street without being continually blocked, touched, grabbed, and harrassed by representatives from hostess bars or worse. The breakfast was horrifying by western standards--the daily scrambled eggs could be slurped through a straw--but quite decent by Japanese standards (soup and salad were good.) Bottom line is that this is barely a one star property, it can't live up to its fictitious billing as a three star business hotel. There are better options in this questionable n Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very Nice Hotel"
This hotel was recently renovated and is very clean and comfortable. As usual for Japan the bed was great quality. I've read people say the room is small, but I did not have a problem with the size after all it is Japan. Modern Japanese style bathroom. The free breakfast was better then any free breakfast I've had in the US. Staff are very polite. Maid […] did an excellent job. Roppongi can be a bit loud so if you require super silence, may not be for you, but I had now problem with noise and had a second floor room. Read some reviews on Roppongi before deciding if it is where you want to be, it is not for all, but can be a great place to take a break for the all Japanese speaking areas. It is colorful. "Best hotel deal in Tokyo"
The B Roppongi is a great center of Tokyo hotel for budget wise business travelers and tourists. Recently remodeled at the end of 2010. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Free wifi for all guests. Short walking distance to the Roppongi area, and one block from the Roppongi Station for the Oeda line and the Hibiya Line.Genuine Expedia guest review
The b Roppongi was the perfect hotel for a first-timer to Tokyo. The location was excellent - close to the metro stations and restaurants and bars but far enough away for it to be relatively quiet at night. The staff were very helpful and the experience over all was great. The only negative was that the room was too hot as the airconditioning is centralised. […] Because it had switched over to winter season only warm air was pumped into the room - even though temperatures outside reached the low 20s (which is warm for an English person!). Although there was an airconditioning console in the room there was still no way to really cool the room down. It's a minor gripe in what was otherwise a really good week-long stay. I would definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We had a great stay at the B Roppogi while in Tokyo. We stayed for 6 nights. There were 6 of us. 2 adults, 2 young adults and two children. All of us love staying at the B Roppongi. The rooms that we got just the right size for us. Three people in each room. They have Shiseido toilleteries! Change the towel everyday. The hotel was very well located. […] Everything were within reach. The subway stations was literally a few steps away from the hotel. Though it was located in the busy district we had a good nite sleep. As we have requested earlier to have the higher floor rooms. Was a bit uneasy the first time we came seeing the neighborhood, but loving it very much the next day. Breakfast was great. Love the free flow coffee. Family mart is also next door. All kinda of restaurant is around you. A brief 10 min walk will get you to The Roppongi Hills - a high end shopping centre. The hotel staffs were excellent. The moment I booked the hotel I got a warm welcome email. Asking for any specific request. All the request I have made had been flawlessly executed. They are very very helpful for all your needs. I would highly recommed this hotel. We will come back for sure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel location was very convenient and we really enjoyed the breakfast every morning. Staff were helpful and the free WiFi was great. "Good value, great location"
The hotel is located near the Roppongi subway station (the closest exit is exit 5.) Roppongi has lots of options for going out and is also only a few stops away from Shibuya and Shinjuku and Ginza. The room was very clean and comfortable but the beds were on the small side (by European and I guess US standards too.) Also there wasn't a lot of cupboards. The […] staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was good (the buffet had a selection of the usual European fare - scrambled eggs, saussages, bacon, bread and butter - as well as some Japanese options - rice, fish, salads.) Unfortunately the air conditioning was not on despite the outside temperature well in the 20s Celsius so the room felt a bit too warm most of the times (the staff explained that it is only activated in the summer - which is fine if you're used to hot weather but not if like us you aren't.) Because the hotel is overlooking the Expressway opening the window wasn't really an option. On the plus side, the hotel has vending machines with beer at a very reasonable price (JPY 270 for a can of "Super Dry" Asahi.) This is a welcome change from the usual mini-bar rip-off prices. Overall we had a pleasant stay despite the lack of air conditionning and the hotel was good value for money, since the breakfast was included. All rooms have Ethernet sockets for internet access and the breakfast room has free Wi-Fi for guests. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff were excellent. The only issue was that the Wi Fi in our room wasnt working at 100%. The system was new and worked for about 80%of our stay and i'm sure that the system will be tweaked and running at 100% in short time. The Wi Fi in the lobby was working at 100% so it was pretty good overall, just not perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is very conveniently located in Roppongi. Its's surprisingly quiet considering the location. The overall look of the hotel is clean and modern. The only not good thing is that the hotel us distant from any railway station and thus not very convenient to get to from the airport using public transportation. "Great find, reasonable hotel"
We were really pleased with this hotel. The price was great for the location and worked out find for the 3 of us (husband, 10 year old and me). Having breakfast included was a great money saving factor in Tokyo too. We used the subway to get everywhere and nothing was more than one change away. The room was small but functional. It included a desk and […] a mini fridge. We were not able to unpack our bags nor leave them open due to space in the room but we were only there for 3 days, so not a big deal to open one suitcase, take out clothes for the day and close it up and move on to the next one. I would stay here again for the location and reasonable price. We were on the 8th floor on the highway side of the building and could hear some general white noise from the highway but never heard anyone talking or the elevator or noise from other rooms. "A great choice for the area"
Quite a good choice for the area, Roppongi, where it is easy to find very small rooms and maybe not so clean hotels. Can get noisy at night as kids that miss the last trains on Fridays and Saturdays, hang around the parking lots behind the hotel. Apart from this, rooms are big and extremely well kept, great experience overall.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good Hotel, Bad Area"
Good hotel, room was a little small but to be expected in Tokyo I think. Free wifi in the lobby, cabled internet in the rooms. Not the best location, Roppongi is a bit rough at night by Tokyo standards, lots of looky-looky men etc. but still pretty safe. Nice and close to the underground station though so easy to get around.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Friendly and helpful staff - some English speakers"
The location of this hotel is superb if you're only in town for a couple of nights and just want something easy to get to and decently comfortable as a non-Japanese speaker. It's right on the subway and JR line (Japan Rail, separate company that links all the subway lines), and on the corner of a street that's busy on weekends. The staff are very helpful […] and kind, the manager speaks and writes emails in English, and as our plane was arriving at 11.15pm at night, he kindly arranged to stay up until 1.00am so let us into our room. The room was typically small for Tokyo, but not uncomfortably so; we had nice big towels and an extremely comfortable bed, enough space for suitcases and walking around furniture. The only negative was the room had a bit of a smell from a lack of airing combined with a slight sewerage blockage or something - but nothing worth complaining about. Buffet in the morning is decent, there is a choice between Asian and Western food (eggs bacon mushrooms toast cereal orange juice, morning curry rice soups etc), it's free and we found it to be fresh. The staff went above and beyond, for example the manager immediately helped us unlock our safe when we had some issues with it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
