Villa Laguna - Venice 45.41633, 12.36784

The Villa Laguna was great. We didnt know where we were going and we were delighted when the vaporetta stopped more or less right outside the hotel. The room was a delight more like a small apartment - bedroom, lounge/dining area, bathroom and kitchen area (with 2 ring electic hob) and a huge storage cupboard for cases etc. The cupboard in the lounge was stocked with crockery and cutlery, glassware, pans - everything you'd need if you wanted to cook. The attention to detail was quite amazing generally. Also the view across the lagoon was magical. Breakfast was plentiful and the service was excellent, in fact we couldn't fault a thing. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be going back.

Our stay at the Villa Laguna was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a lagoon view and our room had a small sitting room & kitchen which was a bonus. Breakfast very basic but the views from the dining room made up for it. If we ever go back to Venice we will definitely stay here again

After staying in an alleged 3 Start in Florence (more like a basic 2) arriving at the Villa Laguna was like seeing the promised land. Nice and friendly staff booked us in and took us to our room... which was nothing short of fantastic. A nice big suite on the edge of the Lido with breath-taking view of the main island, St. Marks and St. Marys Cathedrals clear. The room had a spacious lounge (for 2 that is) a nice little kitchenette, a great bathroom, and a nicely sized bedroom. The only minor quibble was the bed was 2 singles combined, but that seems to be the normal for the hotels I've stayed in in Italy. Breakfast was in a conservatory right on the waters edge, more great views. And the water bus stop is only a minute away! Can't praise the hotel enough.

Nicely-renovated hotel with good views of Venice. You are a dozen steps from the vaporetti landing, so if you have a multi-day bus/water pass (which almost everyone does), you are a short boat ride from Piazza San Marco. It's amazingly convenient and provides a nice included breakfast in their big open dining room facing the lagoon. It's also easy to get to the airport from there---a straight ride on the Alilaguna line. Quiet, was able to provide a no-smoking room, staff was pleasant. We had a six-year-old and got a two-room suite where she had her own bed and balcony overlooking the boat landing. She loved it. Also: 10-minute brisk walk to the beach.

Ideal location for water bus stop providing quick and easy access to San Marco - only booked in for 1 night but enjoyed the hotel, staff very helpful and friendly.

This hotel is in a good location being ideally situated for both it's proximity to the vaparetto stations and for the beautiful views across the lagoon towards Venice. The lovely dining room and adjoining terrace both take full advantage of the views as do the front facing rooms. We booked a standard room which meant our room did not face the lagoon which was disappointing but it was a clean and comfortable room nevertheless. If we were to return we would possibly choose to pay more and get a suite with lagoon view. It is generally cheaper to eat out in Lido than Venice.

A very comfortable hotel outside the overwhelming tourism of Venice City itself. Two minute walk to Vaporetto's, which made access to the City simple. Wonderful view of the lagoon and City from those rooms with a logoon view. Beds were a little uncomfortable and hotel food itself (excluding breakfast) was average. Overall a very pleasant stay and I would do it again.
