Our stay was OK. However, our room had just been painted and the smell was pretty strong so we had to keep the a/c going to circulate the air. We were on the freeway side (which is the only side available with a non-smoking king) and it was noisy.

This is not on the Riverwalk, it is however about 8 mins away by car, which was just fine for us, you would have to pay for parking if you stayed at a hotel on the Riverwalk anyway. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The ice machine was broken on the 1st floor but they always are @ Super 8's, the ice machine on the […] 2nd floor worked just fine. We never ate the breakfast but it smelled good. The hotel was actually not a bad stay, although, we thought it would be located down town on near the river walk, but other than that it turned out to be a convient location for us. the customer service was very great and everything was fine except the crook that stole the spair tire from our 15 passenger van.

For the price I paid for this hotel, I expected much better. The staff was very friendly but the room was a nightmare. It defiantly needs a remodel. The paint was peeling, the outlets were not even attached to the walls. The bathroom was nasty. They did not have fitted sheets on the beds, only top sheets so they kept coming off while we slept. This was a great place to stay for our one night stay in San Antonio. It is about 4 miles from downtown but an easy drive. Room was very clean, bed comfortable, quiet, staff friendly; we felt safe. Continental breakfast was adequate for our needs. Would definitely recommend this facility

The hotel was not too far from the Riverwalk. It was a few minutes (under $20) for a cab ride there. There is a fast food restaurant located in front of the hotel, so that was convenient. I chose the hotel due to its location (close to Freeman Coliseum). Room was clean and bed was perfect. Very hot the whole week I stayed but the A/C worked great. Not really close to downtown but then I didnt have to pay for parking either.

Overall this hotel is good. For the price your gonna pay its worth staying there. If you are looking to visit the Riverwalk or the Alamo... its best to catch a cab. Id say its about 10 minutes away from the hotel. Good price but your title "Riverwalk" implies that you are next to the actual RIVERWALK. We chose this hotel because we wanted to come to San Antonio for a quick visit and head on to Austin before returning back to Houston. We knew we would be a short time in the motel just to sleep so clean and conveniently located were most important to us. This hotel is only about 5 minutes from the Riverwalk/Alamo area. The rooms are old and out dated […] but relatively clean and very spacious. The hotel is located right next to the interstate so there is the steady drum of traffic all night long which might be bothersome to some but is more like "white noise" and I found it very easy to sleep through it. The rooms have a microwave, small fridge, hair dryer, iron etc so they are very well appointed. And the free continental breakfast was very nice, pastries, bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, juice, coffee. AND we got a great deal from hotels.com. $20 cheaper than walk-in price. Not a bad place, easy to get to, and get out of. 24 hour eating place next door. My daughter and I decided to take a weekend trip to San Antonio to visit some friends. We've stayed in Super 8's in the past, but this one has to be the worst. The hotel is obviously old and run down; thus, I didn't care to sample the "continental breakfast". Our room smelled of cigarette smoke (even though I selected non-smoking), the carpets were […] filthy (I didn't even want to walk around barefoot), the doors and door jams were black with filth, the tub's caulking was dirty, the toilet paper spool was missing, we could hear people walking in the next room and we could hear the cars on the highway. The only good things I have to say are the hotel was located within 5 miles of The Alamo, there was a Whataburger conveniently located across the street and we had our bed made and fresh towels laid out during our stay. I guess you get what you pay for. Next time, I am going to really pad my vacation fund so that I can stay in a nicer hotel. Read more

Hotel service needs a lot of improvement. If you want to get continental breakfast make sure to show up early. I showed at 10 am and they were already cleaning the breakfast place and no food left.
