HOTEL VILLA MAYA - Santa Luce

The hotel was easy to find using the SAt Nav and our previous experiance of the area. The hotel was clean and comfortable in typical Italian style. We ate dinner in the restaurant and were very pleased with the quality of the food served to us & the service. However, we were a little disappointed with the breakfast. The food was a little lack lustre […] & service was a bit hit and miss. There was no direction as to the procedure to obtain a cup of coffee.... After asking twice we did get one! It is Italy.... Overall the hotel is charming & comfortable and although not far from things appears to be in the middle of nowhere. The meal in the evening made up for the rather disappointing breakfast experiance. This hotel was extremely good value for money with a lovely large suite and an excellent breakfast included in the price. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us information of places to visit in the surrounding area. Would be a little hard to find without a GPS and hard to get there without a car but set in a lovely country setting.

Generally a very good experience. The structure is wonderfully restored and jammed with antique furniture. Our room was air conditioned and everything worked the way it was supposed to. Bed was comfortable. Rooms are small but appropriate size for the venue of what was apparently an old farmhouse not looking like an old mansion. Breakfast in the open […] air garden was delightful. The only problem with this hotel is the same one noted in many other reviews, that is, it is EXTREMELY difficult to locate in the countryside. A MUST is to get printed driving directions as well as a detailed map of the NUMEROUS round-a-bouts that are required to be navigated in order to get there. The hotel is actually located fairly close to the motorway but no exit there. Once you get into the general area there are good signs for the hotel but, unless you know what they look like, they are easy to miss. We spent two and a half hours trying to locate the hotel before a friendly native got us going back in the right direction. The hotel was not able to give us good driving directions even after we called them directly, mostly due to our inept Italian and limited English spoken by the receptionist. Hotellet ligger bra i linje med fortsatt resa söderut. Nära PISA. Ligger lite avvigt från centrum, men med GPS lätt att hitta. Snyggt, rent och väldigt trevliga. Hade väldigt god mat.

Hôtel agréable , cadre reposant, un diner et petit déjeuner dans un très beau jardin. (prévoyez le spray antimoustiques quand même pour le soir!!) Personnel serviable et sympathique. Le seul point négatif est peut être la mauvaise insonorisation du bâtiment. A recommander

tres bel hotel dans la campagne de Pise. Calme, chambre quadruple avec grande salle de bain en marbre, tres bon petit dejeuner buffet dans le parc. Accueil sympathique. Parfait pour se reposer
