My daughter and I stayed at the Residence Inn downtown Montreal and had a good experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice. The location was perfect for all that we had planned. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because the beds were just awful. They seemed old, hard and just plain uncomfortable. I would recommend staying here, but would ask for a room with new beds.

Visited Montreal with my family (wife, 9 and 8 yo kids). Concierge service was prompt. Room was plenty spacious for us. Location was ideal downtown. Excercise room is more than you get at most hotels. Only slights are pool and breakfast are very average. Not bad, just average. We would certainly stay here again. And hope to.

I was appalled that I was requested a credit card even though my room was prepaid. I was even more appalled that a $100 deposit was taken from my credit card even though there was no mention of that condition in my reservation request. I have traveled all over the world and have never had that request made.

We stayed over at hotel due to poor weather conditions on our way to Toronto. Hotel receptionist was friendly and accomodating both at check-in and check-out (two different ladies). Free continental breakfast was great for those on the run.

It's one of very few hotels out this far west end of Montreal. So it has a bit of monopoly. The prices are high. The beds uncomfy. It's no smoking. But my room smelt of smoke that was not properly taken care of. If you can stay closer to the airport. You'll get more selection.

When we got there, they took an authorization of $250 in case we damaged the room, which was fine. What was NOT FINE however, was the condition of the room when we went in. There were black marks all over the walls, a hole in one wall, the bathub stopper was broken and the remote control was missing the battery . My husband called the front desk twice […] to complain. After the second call, they said they would change our room. When we went to Front Desk, they said our room was a basic room and no basic rooms were left, so if we moved rooms, we would have to pay the difference for the upgrade.They gave us a bad room and then have the nerve to tell us that we have to pay for the room change. When I objected, they said that they understood how I felt, but that was there policy. Since I paid for the original room, I stayed and the hotel made no attempt to make things better, no matter how much we complained. Read more

I picked this hotel for the pool area and breakfast; disappointed with both. The pool is indoor but is tiny. The hot tub was out of order. Breakfast is very simple, 2 cereals, bread for toast and canned fruit cocktail. This is a newer building but my room showed a lot of wear and tear.

We were trying to book a hotel in Ottawa but couldn't find a one because of July 1st. Overall it's good. One thing I don't like is they ask the $100 security deposit. I've never been asked for that before. I've rather let them check before I checkout.

This is a no frills hotel but served the purpose when visiting family in the area. I found the rooms to be clean and staff friendly. Would have been nice to have a fridge and better towels and pillows but that's what you get for this price.

We didn't want to stay downtown Montreal so this was perfect. Not expensive, the breakfast wasn't really that great... White and Brown bread with jams or peanut butter. The pool is small but we were the only people using it so it was nice to have. Specially for our 3 year old son who loves to swim. Many stores and restaurants arround the hotel :).

On dirait un motel tellement les chambres dont défraichies, il y a une odeur désagréable, les tapis sont malpropres et le ménage de la femme de chambre laisse à désiré... et elle ose nous laisser une enveloppe avec un beau sourire dessus pour un pourboire...

Les lits dans les chambres sont trop petits , je recommande deux lits queen minimum par chambre car pas trop bien dormi, pas assez de place. Les hotels qu ont a louer dans le passé avait tous des lits queen. Le petit déjeuner devrait etre servis jusqu a 10:00 au lieu de 9:00.
