I was very disappointed in our stay at the New Drumoisse Hotel. The hotel looks nice and the staff is attentive, but the quality of the amenities is not in line with the price. This is a magnificent old hotel that has been restored to its former 5 star excellence. Service is above reproach and is definitely on a par with its condition. We only spent one night here but regretted we had only allowed ourselves this short time in this area. This hotel is not to be missed. It is a 5+ hotel.

Great hotel. Its a decent drive into Inverness, porbably 10 min but no big deal. Is an older hotel that has recently been reopened. If you were on buisness it would be perfect but as a honeymoon hotel it was a bit boring.

While this hotel was a good find, and a reasonable price for the UK, there were some things that really did not go as I expected. For example, when we checked in we were asked if we would like to have a newspaper delivered to our room in the morning. We said yes, and then were really surprised to be charged for it! Also, when we checked out, I asked […] for a copy of the our invoice and a receipt, and I was told "I'm sorry, we're not allowed to give you that". I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say. I asked again, thinking she had misunderstood me, and she again replied that she wasn't "allowed" to give me an invoice. I was quite irritated and explained that I found it impossible to believe that a hotel was unable to give me a receipt with my charges, and she just shrugged her shoulders and apologized. I had to log into my email account to pull up what our room rate had been, etc. Just to be sure. Quite bizarre! Other than that, the stay was good. Rooms were big for UK standards, and nicely decorated, with good size bathrooms. I would go back again, but would still really love an explanation for why I couldn't get a receipt! Read more

Upon arrival we were surprised to be given a suite - excellent room, spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower, room very clean and well decorated, bed very comfortable. Had a drink in the lobby area in the evening and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. It wasn't one of those "charming" English hotels with character but a little rough around the edges. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is in a very quiet and rural location, but just a short distance from town. They hosted weddings both nights of our stay there and it was fun observing the wedding party in their formal wear. Several were wearing kilts.

Lovely place 2-3 miles away from Inverness, absolutely fantastic. Yet there is a but, I took wifi service but no wifi signal in my room (105), need to stand at the door to get the signal, not a majorconcern for me really. I will recommend this hotel to anyone and i will stay at the same place if i have to.

The hotel and the room is one if the better ones in Inverness. the Service at dinner was okay apart from forgetting my drinks order. My main complaint was the lack of water pressure and sometimes the complete loss of water altogether which spoiled the stay.

Excellent hotel with good cuisine dining, ideally suited for Inverness and surrounding areas. Service was very good, warm comfortable lounge and room with a small seating area plus brand new tiled bathroom with walk in shower. Bed was a bit lumpy otherwise almost perfect and of International standard not normal UK standard in my experience.

My husband & myself decided on the Drumossie Hotel as we had stayed there before & really loved it. It was our ten year wedding anniversary & we wanted to make it special, which it was very much. Our bedroom was fantastic, very spacious & comfortable. The only negative thing we would say about our room was the shower ran very slow and for the cost of […] the room we would have expected a power shower. Apart from that, gorgeous room. After touring the wilds of the highlands we arrived to the welcoming embrace of this hotel. The room was immaculate and had all the bells and whistles we wanted after roughing it for a week. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast superb. We came for one night and stayed for two.

the hotel is located a bit outside Inverness, but it is a nice stay, with a welcoming atmosphere. the rooms are held in a older style, but very nice and followed through. it has a nice bathroom. and were cleaned well. a nice stay.

Room clean and a nice size with 4 poster bed and couch. Shower struggled a little bit in terms of pressure (you get wetter in a heavy shower outside in Scotland!). Staff were very pleasant. This hotel though would benefit greatly from having a central bar area - it's just an extension of the hotel reception really. Would also benefit from a bar food […] menu - apparently they only serve bar food before 5pm thereafer it's sandwiches (although I did overhear one hotel guest siting in the bar being advised that their "burger wouldn't be long" and that was at 6pm! Other than that, it's fine although breakfast comes in a little expensive and not much range of options for a visiting vegetarian from the dinner menu. Read more

Surprised that the evening meal was 50% more than last year and that the 5th night was £15 more than the first 4. Most hotels offer a reductiion for more than 3 nights. Other than that we found it a quiet and pleasant hotel and would definitely stay again. Very pleasant welcome and waiting staff particularly attentive (thank you, Richard). Receptionist was lovely to go out of her way to ensure I had a newspaper in the morning: thank you for that kindness. I ate alone in dining room one evening and my meal came far too quickly:I hardly had time to breathe deeply before second course arrived, which was […] a shame as I felt rushed and unwelcome. Toast at breakfast in my room was underdone and cold: why not wrap this in a napkin? At an extra £3 charge for in-room service, I would have thought attention would have been paid to such a detail. Very nice hotel in pleasant sorroundings, quiet area, good parking and well maintained grounds to walk around. Only complainrt was that NO food available when we got back to hotel just after midnight - they won't even make you a sandwich or sell you a packet of crisps - be warned/prepared!!!!! Good breakfast though, nice dining room.
