The hotel was clean, easy to find and close to restaurants including Applebees in the lobby area. Had a nice breakfast with more a larger variety of items. Biscuits and gravy, Sausage links, hash browns, cereal, toast,,juices. Great place and good price for what you get. "Close to family and must-see sights"
The Parkway Hotel was a great hotel, minus one thing. The breakfast was inferior. I stayed 3 nights and only went to breakfast the first day. The following 2 days I just went down for the coffee. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to west side."
The hotel is very convenient to the museums and zoo of Forest Park, which was my main goal. It is literally next door to the huge Barnes-Jewish Hospital Complex. It is not particularly convenient to downtown St. Louis so if your main interest is there it wouldn't be a good first choice. I was generally pleased with the condition of the room and bathroom. […] Hotel features an expanded continental breakfast, although there wasn't any variation in the offerings from day-to-day. There is a free shuttle, but it seems to have definite boundaries (which weren't listed) so I could take it to Forest Park, but not to the Amtrak station. There is a Metrolink station a couple of blocks south (not the one block the hotel information folder said.) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hospital and Hotel combo"
We traveled twice to Saint Louis for surgery for our daughter at St. Louis Children's Hospital. We chose the Parkway because we didn't want to drive to the hospital each day, or walk in the rain/bad weather. The Parkway was perfect for our needs. We could walk inside all the way to our daughter's room. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. It could […] maybe stand some updating here and there, but we weren't there to live in the hotel. We used our room as a quiet place to relax after being in the hospital. (One parent was at the hotel while the other was at the hospital.) The breakfast was good - a little better than most hotels. They also have free popcorn and cookies in the afternoon (a treat for our daughter!). There's an Applebee's conned to the lobby, and a Panera Bread ("St. Louis Bread") just across the street. Between those and the hospital cafeteria, we never moved our car. On the second trip, we flew and didn't rent a car. The hotel shuttle service was awesome! We used it to take a trip to the zoo, and also to go to the Galleria. (From the Galleria we took the Metro link to the airport.) I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone coming to the hospital in St. Louis. When we go back for our post-op visit I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else! "Great central location"
We have spent a week in this hotel every June for about 10 years. It obviously fits our need very well. It provides easy access to everywhere in the city by car or by Metrolink. The only criticisms for us concern the breakfast and the parking garage. The food and table seating are a bit haphazard. The valet parking drivers for the hospital make getting […] in and out of the parking spots a bit scary. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to downtown"
Overnight stay was good. Road work around hotel made it harder to gain access to the hotel, but that was no fault of the hotels. The kitchen seemed to have a bit of a hard time keeping up with the breakfast crowd on Sunday. My family enjoyed the warm cookies the afternoon we arrived.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Breakfast was yummy. They have the best biscuits. Fresh popcorn in lobby daily. Missed the cookies, seems like they should be earlier. At arrival I was a bit frustrated because they told me they only had one room for me (I reserved 2 back in April, 2 months earlier.) After showing them my confirmation email they found a second room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Went to see Chuck Berry at Blueberry Hill. Parkway was fairly close to the Delmar Loop site. Staff was helpful in giving us directions to concert, how to use the tram, tips on safety. When I got home, I could not find my phone charger...called hotel and they did a search, called back with negative results, and promised to keep looking. Ended up I had […] the charger, but they bent over backward to look and keep me updated. I appreciated that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is close to a lot of great attractions in St. Louis. The current construction of the hospital next door may add some confusion for folks not familiar with the area, so I would recommend checking a map before you visit. Another thing that's a little confusing is the parking garage. The hotel access is not clearly marked once you park inside, […] so you may end up wandering around a bit before you realize there's a bridge to connect the hotel to the garage on level three. The bathrooms are a little dark--could use some updates on lighting, but everything is very clean. The beds are also very comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. The $5 garage fee is very reasonable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

For the most part, this was a very nice hotel. It was a short walk to Washington University where our daughter attends grad. school. The free breakfast was wonderful with many choices of hot and cold foods. Also fresh baked choc chip cookies! My only complaints are the lack of fans in the bathroom and the beds were somewhat uncomfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"An unpleasant stay"
I don't understand how this hotel had so many positive reviews. There is no wifi in the hotel rooms unless you use the ethernet cable which is useless for an ipad or iphone. The shower in the room had zero pressure, it was like standing under a dripping pipe. Finally, the hotel charges you for garage parking each day. I don't think I'll ever stay in […] this hotel again. We enjoyed our stay as it was so convenient to the Center for Advanced Medicine. We were allowed to keep our car in the parking garage as we had an early morning appointment. Also there was a connecting hallway on the 3rd level to the CAM. Rates were good and extra treats were truly appreciated (fresh baked cookies, hot popcorn and juicy apples) in […] the lobby area. "St Louis Get away"
The Parkway Hotel was perfect for our get away trip. It was just a quick walk to the Metro Line to hop on and go see a Cardinals game. MUCH cheaper than parking at the game! "Right at the edge of Forest Park and good food"
Great location and views from the eighth floor. Room was very nice and beds comfortable. Warm homemade chocolate chip cookies in the lobby at night. "nice location for attending events at the Fox."
My party of 3 attended an event at the Fox Theater on May 30th. We used the hotel shuttle service to get to the theater, but found out upon check-in that the shuttle would not be operating late enough to pick us up after the performance. "Great neighborhood and good hotel"
This is a good no frills hotel in a great location and neighborhood. Short walk to great restaurants and the Barnes/Jewish hospital complex. The hotel is good. The breakfast is not good and could be improved. Eliminate the terrible hot items and improve the rest with a healthier selection of cold items such as yogurt.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were in town for a Cardinals game. Loved our stay at the Parkway. Our room was the cleanest room I've ever seen and the bathroom was as well. The only problem area I noticed is parking. To get to the parking garage you have to walk around the outside of the hotel from the main entrance to get to your car. "A pretty good stay."
The hotel room was clean and a great size. There was a refrigerator and microwave which is always an added bonus. The location is very convenient as it is close to just about everything you'd want to […] do in St. Louis. My biggest complaint was the breakfast--it was NOT GOOD. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location. It was finally nice to stay in a moderately priced great hotel. Parking was $5.00 extra overnight but was worth it for satisfaction. "Nice older hotel"
We booked our room at the Parkway via the Internet with the purpose of staying at some place other than a big chain facility. We were very pleased with the facility, friendly and helpful staff, comfort and quietness and location. The Parkway location is pleasantly removed from many of the points of interest for tourists. Any place of interest such as […] the Arch, downtown attractions, the brewery, etc are all easy drives. We observed several guests who were obviously staying at the Parkway while they were visiting the hospitals. The Parkway staff seemed to go the extra mile to help those guests. Very impressive! There are several good eateries within a couple of blocks of the hotel, all of which provided a pleasant and refreshing walk in a safe, clean and upbeat area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean and comfortable hotel."
My mother and I stayed here for 2 nights for our first mother/daughter outing. We were very pleased with the staff, cleanliness, convenient location, and affordable $5 per day garage parking. "Even better than I had hoped"
First time at this hotel and I would definitely return. My stay involved a family member at local hospital, to which hotel was directly linked indoors. "Worth the price"
We came to St Louis to visit the Botanical Gardens and chose to stay at the Parkway since it is close to both Forest Park and Tower Grove Park. The hotel is quiet and clean and the staff very professional. While I knew there were guests in rooms on both sides of ours, we did not hear any noise in our room. The only thing I would like to see added is […] a restaurant for hotel guests. While there is an Appleby's connected to the hotel, it was very crowded and loud so we chose to walk down the street about a block to a local neighborhood bar/restaurant. Proved to be a much better choice for us. We will definitely stay at the Parkway on our next trip to St Louis. The beds were very comfortable and the room temperature was very easy to adjust. Be sure to sample the warm cookies on check in and the hot breakfast each morning. Breakfast featured eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy as well as fresh fruit. Seating can be a little crowded depending on the time you go so plan accordingly. While we did not use the free shuttle, I did see a lot of guests taking advantage. Overall, well worth the price. Very friendly people. Easy check in and out. The parking garage is a little ackward. The complimentary breakfast is decent but not great. The scrabbled eggs were way over cooked. I picked this particular hotel because it was located near Barnes, and Children's Hospital in the Forest Park area. Couldn't have picked a better location or hotel. This hotel was attached by means of skywalks to the parking garage to the advanced center for medicine to the Children's Hospital to Barnes Jewish Hospital, making traveling between these […] buildings exceptionally easy and convenient. I only rated the staff a three because upon check in at 10:30 in the evening there was no one manning the front desk. I stood for five minutes, even poking my head around the corner into the back office area to see if there was someone who could check us in. The gentleman who was supposed to be behind the counter was over in the socializing area, it appeared he was on his cell phone but I don't know whether it was work or personal, either way, he was not at the front desk for us to check in for over five minutes. Also when we went to the breakfast in the morning there was a toaster for bagels with cream cheese and a toaster for regular toast but neither of those items were stocked in their pastry area. The woman who was in charge of restocking things was mostly hiding in the back and was only coming out occasionally although she did bring scrambled eggs after the container of eggs was completely empty but she never did bring out any toast or bagels-there were two or three sweet rolls in the container and that was it. But for a complementary breakfast it was alright. But the rooms were clean and fresh and the hotel was generally a good hotel so I would highly recommend it for anyone who needs to be in the hospital areas down there and if we ever have to go back to the hospital I definitely will stay here. Great value and great location for what I needed. I traveled from airport to Barnes Jewish Hospital and was working around hospital all week. "Convenient, but bare bones/utilitarian"
Breakfast was gross, especially if you don't want bacon/sausage or tasteless eggs. They need to upgrade to something a bit more environmentally-friendly. Everything was styrofoam. Everything. Coffee is bad also.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
