"Big room pool and breakfast"
I had a great time visiting Astoria and enjoyed my room at the Holiday Inn under the bridge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect place to stay with kids. I loved the location as well, an easy walk to downtown. Hotel was very clean with friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was a nice perk and my kids loved the pool best of all. We would definitly recommend this an easy place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel by the river"
We had a very nice stay here. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The hotel has a well maintained backyard right by the river, very peaceful. Room is comfortable, we have no issues. There is plenty of food at the breakfast, although not particularly tasty. We went to breakfast at about 8:45, and there are still plenty of food. The breakfast area […] is also roomy. There are also bicycles available to use on the trail. We just regret that we didn't know about that until we checked out. Overall, an excellent stay at the hotel. "Awesome view of the Astoria bridge"
Room was very clean and cozy, and pet friendly! Location was excellent, right on the water with a nice little beach right out back. Skip the free breakfast though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent Lodging Choice"
I'll admit I was a bit apprehensive reserving a room in a hotel right under a big bridge. But the Holiday Inn/Express Astoria got our vacation off to a fantastic start. I had spent a couple of hours researching places in the area, and chose this one because it claimed to be right on the river and none of the reviewers complained about sea lions barking […] all night. Both claims were true. The location was great--there was minimal bridge noise, and it was actually a very dramatic part of the view from our window (which also included the foggy Washington side of the river in the distance, passing freighters, tugboats, fishing boats, birds, etc). Our river-view king room was worth the small upgrade from a standard room, and was spacious, clean, and totally comfortable. The staff was friendly and phoned our room shortly after check-in to see if everything was to our liking. Which is was (did I mention the fantastic view?). The breakfast was good, and the dining area had its own great view and a pair of nice flat-screen TVs for those wanting news. Didn't try the indoor pool or hot tub, but through the window they looked nice. Internet access was free and I was pleased with both the wired and wireless access options. The property backs up to the Riverwalk, and we strolled over to the marina where we raided some blackberry bushes and found some great clam chowder at Northwest Wild Products, a fish market hidden away on the boat-side of the marina. We'd love to stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very friendly staff- we will be back!"
Clean and spacious room, helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast and view. Would give a perfect rating but the pool was gross and needed cleaning. Otherwise a flawless experience! We will be back- hopefully the pool will be better next time. :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice room, equivalent to a recent Hilton stay re standard, comfort and decor, excellent service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"No Complaints Whatsoever!"
My standards are high and I was not disappointed. The room was beautiful and spacious with a gorgeous view of the river. Everything was very clean! We have stayed in 5 star hotels that weren't this nice or offered these amenities. The breakfast was awesome! The pool and fitness room...very nice! I have no complaints whatsoever.Genuine Expedia guest review
Located on the Columbia River Waterfront, Holiday Inn Express & Suites gave us an incredible view from our room, and made it very convenient to get to the Oregon Maritime Museum and the Bridgewater Bistro, which was a wonderful place to have dinner. Large room, very clean, large comfortable bed, and a spectacular view, what more could you ask for?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
it was very nice and within walking distance of most attractions we wanted to see.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel in Astoria"
This hotel is right under the bridge (but you hear no traffic) & has fantastic views. The hotel is new, looks great & is in a wonderful location. The Holiday Inn Express breakfast is great - they've got it down to a science. They have exactly what you want. The town of Astoria has a bunch of interesting things to do. We just caught the tail end of the […] Sunday street market - interesting things being sold. We really enjoyed our stay here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

A very nice stay in a quaint town. Very close to the coast and historic sites.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A visit to the Astoria Music Festival."
A very nice hotel in a great location. We enjoyed our stay. We had a pet. They charged a fair fee for him. We had a very nice park adjacent as well as a bike trail. The waterfront trolley went right in front of our room which faced the Columbia River and the very tall bridge. The breakfast was full and very nice. Overall, we will return the next time […] we stay in Astoria. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel for a family!"
We loved this hotel. The room was cozy and inviting, with a great view and a fireplace. There was also a small refrigerator and microwave. Our grandsons loved the indoor pool. Breakfast was included with the price of the room and it was outstanding. If we are in the area, we would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Overall, a great choice while staying in Astoria!"
For the price, this was everything I could have asked for, a modern well equipped room, coin laundry on the premises, free and convenient parking and free breakfast in the morning. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. It is not exactly walking distance to downtown Astoria, but the accommodations in their entirety make up for all of that. I doubt is you […] would find anything similar in downtown Astoria. This is a good hotel for business, and pleasure travelers and for family. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Long stay, short stay a Must stay"
This is by far the best Holiday Inn we have ever stayed at. Great view of the mighty Columbia river. Best breakfast offerings.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our family stayed on thanksgiving night, staff were very nice and helpful. Room was large and they have the best pillows. The kids loved the game room and the breakfast was more than just donuts and cereal. Will always stay here when we visit Astoria.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Be sure to get a room overlooking the bay. We were right under the bridge and could see across the bay into the mountains beyond. Stunning!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place, great location!"

"Great weekend getaway"
This is the nicest Holiday Inn Express we've ever stayed in. We were more than pleasantly surprised.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We chose this hotel because the only other place in Astoria that allowed pets was a place we've stayed before and will never stay at again. The room and staff were great. The only down side to the location is that the hotel and "park" next door for the dog to relieve himself are directly under the bridge and the noise from the traffic on the bridge […] scared our dog to the point that he refused to do what he needed to be doing. That being said, our room was on the second floor and we could not hear this traffic noise so we slept pretty well. The bed was a little firm for our tastes. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice weekend hotel"
Very clean, directly located at the river, nice viewGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel has a great location and the rooms are very nice, we stayed in rooms with river views. The facilities are nice, we enjoyed the pool and so did the children in our pary. The breakfast is ok but nothing special. It seems a little pricey.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great amenities, large rooms"
We were impressed by the size and quality of the room. We booked two double beds, and were on the city side (the water side has much nicer views), but there were two big windows that let in tons of natural light. The bathroom was big as well. Amenities in our room included a hair dryer, coffee maker, microwave and mini-fridge. Hot breakfast was included […] in our reservation, and it was pretty good. The pool was nice, though a little small, and went from 3-5 feet. The spa was nice too. Fitness room had an eliptical, treadmill, and exercise bike. I believe pets are allowed- we saw a few little dogs. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Good location, right under the Astoria bridge, and about 1 mile or so walk to downtown Astoria proper. Good breakfast (though not all that impressed that all the utensils and plates were disposable). We got a top floor room with river view, and had amazing view of the river and bridge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Exquisite riverfront vista"
Whichever reviewer suggested a river view room was right on. Having said that views from the lobby area are almost as good. Lobby even has a list of ship traffic. Great service, rooms, breakfast and front desk help. Easy to find-right under the Astoria-Washington Bridge. Easy to access everything in Astoria by car or adjacent trolley. Great spot for […] a stay-easy to appreciate the Columbia River from here. They even have bikes for a riverfront trail ride to downtown. Less than two easy hours from Portland. The stay was a nice experience I would do it again the view was nice and clean just the way I perferGenuine Expedia guest review
This is a great hotel. We stayed in a suite and found it to be outstanding with views of the Columbia River and the bridge to Washington through our very large windows. The hotel is only a short walk from the excellent Bridgewater Bistro restaurant which we went to upon the recommendation of the front desk personnel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for trips with family or friends"
Wonderful experience and very accommodating. However, it took much too long for us to be able to enter the room after the last guests checked out.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Riverfront hotel with nice views of the river"
Excellent hotel underneath the bridge and alongside the river. Friendly personnel and went out of their way to book dinner reservations for us. Simple but decent breakfast. Convenient location for sightseeing and restaurants nearby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoy staying at this hotel. I will not book at any other hotel. I like the fact that they have the breakfast bar, the pool, and the hotel is clean. We will always book at this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great value. Not a resort, but very clean, modern, & comfortable. I'd be comfortable recommending it to anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Astoria 1 nighter vacation"
Location was great, awesome view of Columbia river and bridge. Premium rooms on waterfront are the way to go. Room was a little narrower than the premium room at Red Lion in Port Angeles, but worked OK for family of four. Would have liked the room better if the sink was not in the bathroom or if there was a 2nd sink; obviously this is an inconvenience […] for 4 people trying to get ready in the morning at the same time. Great food at the Bridgewater restaurant which is a very short walk from the hotel. Hotel was nice, staff was friendly and helpful and their cookies at the front desk were delicious. I'd go back again without any hesitation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
the people in the suite next door entered and exited their room starting at about 5 a.m. and were not quiet with the door slamming, this went on most of the morning. i mentioned it at check out time and the clerk was apologetic. i guess in hindsight i shouldve been on the phone with the front desk the first time it happened. beautiful room, beautiful […] view. Terrific service. They provided fisherman's breakfasts (which we ordered on check-in) and even found room in their catering fridge to store our beer keg. Wonderfully helpful and kind. Great experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
