I was very unhappy very unhappy. I didn't stay for breakfast. They had the breakfast set up on the counter where people checked in. No tables to sit. You either sat on a chair or take your food to your room, and there was only two chairs. It was awful. I left and went to McDonald. The tub in my room had red hair on the wall. They never cleaned it. The […] bath room had 1/4 in of dust on the lower tile. I can't believe they had AAA approved Y need to take them off your web site. This place is terrible. Had we not prepaid, we would have driven right by. The clerk could not answer basic questions. The place hadn't been touched since the early 70's. The mattress was broken down and sagged terribly. Adequate Accommodations, Minor maintenance deficiencies. Adjacent room noise due to low soundproofing. Just plastered or painted cinder block between rooms. Breakfast was fair for choice but no seating available.

The pictures of this hotel look better than reality. The hotel is very run down and quite scary on the outside. Peeling paint and paving only immediately in front of the building. It was too late when we arrived to go somewhere else, so we ventured in. The lobby was pleasant, as was the staff. A steady crew of permanent residents passed through while […] we checked in; the staff greeted them all by first name. The room, though run down with cinderblock walls and thin scratchy towels, was clean and had a big screen TV, microwave and fridge. Subway was within a short walking distance to the hotel. The room was quiet (not much sound penetrates cinderblock), though there was quite a bit of noise from the hallway early in the morning as the work crews left. We didn't have any bug bites on us in the morning. Breakfast in the lobby included fruit, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, coffee (the staff coughed on the fruit while we were there, so didn't try the fruit). They provide trays for patrons to take breakfast to their rooms to eat, as no tables were in the lobby. Overall, it seems this hotel is making an effort; I just wouldn't advise people traveling with children to stay here. Read more

Folks, this was awful. The reviews on this motel on Expedia were mixed and I remembered staying there once in the past and having a not-so-bad experience, so I decided to roll the dice since options in Rawlins were very limited when I booked. The reservation I made was for two queen beds in a non-smoking room. We were running a little late, but I wasn't […] sweating things since they were supposed to hold the room until midnight. But when I walked into the lobby before 8 p.m. to sign in, I was told that the room I had booked had already been rented. They had substituted a room with one bed. "There's nothing I can do," the desk clerk said. "We're fully booked. We can give you a smoking room with two beds. You can complain to the manager tomorrow." At that hour and having been up since 5 a.m., I wasn't going to start driving around Rawlins hoping to find something else. So despite my asthma, I gave in and accepted the smoking room. Not only did the room and all of its furnishings reek with tar and nicotine, the entire building was grungy and unkempt. Other guests walked through the lobby and hallways while smoking. After a few hours' sleep, my Dad and I rolled out at 5 a.m. and decided to get out of town — and out of this motel — as quickly as we could. We were met with a haze of cigarette smoke as we descended through the lobby and "breakfast area." (We went to McDonald's instead). OK, unless you want to use their "free" WiFi connection and you've been assigned a room outside their system's broadcast range. The desk clerk diagnosed our difficulty correctly and even offered a way to fix it (come closer to the lobby to sign in). But once we returned to our room, the signal died.

I had read some not so becoming reviews of this hotel after I booked and was concerned that I might have made a mistake by booking here. The hotel doesn't have much curb appeal but all other amenities make up for the outside appearance. Nice clean room and bath, very comfortable queen beds and good mattresses. The front desk staff were great, especially Gen who checked me in, she was very outgoing and gracious and left me with a good feeling. From the outside , I was a little hesitant..Inside, i was greated by friendly staff that checked me in and had my keys ready within less than 3 minutes.
