The location is terrific- only a few minutes to the metro at Spagna and within minutes' walking distance from many fine, small restaurants. This hotel has a very convenient location. It's just a few blocks from the Spanish Steps and a short walk to the Trevi Fountain. The Barberini and Spagna subway locations are very short walks. Room 105 where we were was listed as a doble room, and it barely had room for the bed in it. Seriously, all you could do was sit in the bed if you were in that room. If all you want to do is sleep in a closet, this is your hotel, but if you want to relax in your room, go elsewhere.

My check-in time was 2pm but my flight arrived at 8am which put me at the hotel at around 9am, I had called the day before to explain this to them and they told me over the phone that since I was calling ahead to give them a heads up that it wouldn't be an issue. The building is old like most buildings in Rome, but you can't really tell because it's well kept and clean. The room was spotless, including the bathroom, but small but I knew that already from looking at the pictures on their site. Still it was a bit of a shock, that's why I say it's for singles or couples with no children. They were doing some construction work while I was there but it was always after 9am, which I thought was late enough that it wouldn't bother guests. They have a TV with some nice channels, the mini fridge was ok and the price of the stuff in it was comparable to the stores outside. The elevator is super small, only enough room for one person... Trust me! The continental breakfast is very limited, but decent enough I suppose. The terrace where they serve the breakfast has a nice view and you can see The Vatican from there. It's located within walking distance of 2 Metro stations (Spagna and Barberini) on line A (3 minutes and 5 minutes respectively), which also goes to The Vatican and its museum. Plus you can walk (7 minutes) to Trevi Fountain or The Spanish steps (3 minutes). Read more

For runners, you are just a sprint from the Villa Borghese, which even lets you get on trails a bit and offers history and culture with every step. Althought the hotel is sufficient clean for the italian standards, I had some issues. You can hear every single step for the upper floors and from people using the stairs. I stayed at Hotel Concordia for four nights during my recent trip to Rome .The hotel is about 5 min. walk to Spanish Steps. Close to everywhere. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Room is very small but clean and equipped with air condition, flat screen TV. There are some good restaurants nearby. Overall, good value for money.

The website shows a roof terrace breakfast room. This is actually in the sister hotel across the road. But if you ask them, they will let you go there for breakfast. It is so worth it!!
