"Lovely resort with a view"
We stayed at the Mangosteen Resort for two weeks of bliss. The room was large with air con and a super room service daily. Ice brought to us each evening made the sunset hour relaxing on our deck with drinks, all round attention to detail and comfort was superb. We did encounter a plumbing problem midway in our stay but this was rectified very quickly with polite and helpful staff making the unforeseeable easy to deal with. Our view from our room was fabulous, pool amazing, friendly day staff with beautiful clean rooms.

"Beautiful relaxing hotel far from the bustle"
Absolutely stunning hotel to stay at, beautiful staff, beautiful atmosphere and stunning place. Gardens, pool, restaurant etc are first class. Rooms are large and roomy with all thoughts catered to. Very clean and professional. This hotel is for people who want to relax and are not necessarily into night clubs and bars, etc. Though it is not far to anything in Phuket this hotel is removed from the hustle and bustle so it is a short ride to anything. The road in is atrocious but the hotel is worth it. Absolutely loved my stay here :-)

This place is something else. We booked a wowcher deal however upgraded as most couples have mentioned. Yes you spend more than your original deal but still a bargain. We upgraded to superior with Jacuzzi And the room was stunning. The bed was huge. Happy hour by the pool was between 3-6.30 which was fantastic making drinks buy one get one free. It's an adults only resort which is brilliant, so peaceful & relaxing. We were booked into a meeting with richard 1/2 way through our stay,, this isn't compulsory and we didn't mind attending to see what the resorts membership had to offer. Yes this meeting isn't in the fine print but obviously there had to be a catch with getting such a cheap stay. There was no pressure from richard, he's a great guy & I do believe the membership is a fantastic a opportunity for some people but we chose to kindly decline,, I wouldn't say it was for myself and my partner at this stage in our lives but would certainly recommend it for more frequent travellers or semi retired people that get chance to holiday more. Food in the hotel was outstanding, we booked onto the Thai buffet menu and also the 5 Asia menu which had an amazing choice of Chinese Thai, Indian,, fresh sushi was really delicious . Fantastic wine menu too. Staff were friendly with impeccable customer service skills they literally cannot do enough for you . We met the owner who was again very friendly and had some great banter with cookie by the pool. Breakfast wasn't great, we had a complimentary one with richard on our meeting day but there is plenty of good local places, we can recommend the coffee house for an amazing club sandwich. If your looking for pure relaxation then this is just perfect. The spa is amazing too. A little out the way if you want nightlife but taxi is available to go anywhere for around 600bht . I would recommend hiring a scooter from the resort and exploring too. All in all 10/10

We loved Mangosteen! The best place to stay for a fabulous holiday! I have read some of the negative reviews on this place all be it not many at all! but these people who wrote such things must have rocks in their heads or just very hard to please! They would be wingers wherever they stayed. For my hubby Neil and I this place met our needs and much more! All the staff across all the many areas that run the place are extremely friendly, warm, welcoming and make you feel so very special! The porters, the reception staff, the house maidens, the maintenance staff, the waiters and waitresses, the pool staff, the gate keepers, all the staff who work so hard behind the scenes. Ian and Cookie are so welcoming friendly and warm! The resort is kept immaculately! The rooms are cleaned every day! The food in the restaurant is of great quality and tastes yummy! Thanks Chefs!

Second time at this resort away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket town and the tourist beaches yet close enough if you wish to visit these attractions. Pool area still great to spend time in and around. Villas well maintained. Local food vendors still great value and yummy - resort prices are costly. Enjoyed our time here again.
"The Perfect Honeymoon Resort"

We loved staying at the Mangosteen. The staff treated us like family. The room was absolutely AMAZING and it was such a dream to stay there on our honeymoon. The pool was the best my husband and I have ever encountered. The food was incredible (with lots of local options nearby). It was a perfect oasis in a bustling city. Very clean, very beautiful, and overall a phenomenal place to enjoy Thailand. My husband and I enjoyed meeting the staff at the Mangosteen. They are the nicest people we encountered on our honeymoon in Thailand. We can't say enough wonderful things about them.

Stayed here with Husband on a voucher deal so very very cheap , just as well we left two day early it was that bad seems its sole purpose is to sell holiday club ( time share) all the owner did was talk bad about the other past guests and the restaurants nearby maybe because his is so expensive . I would not recommend at all

The Mangosteen was a beautiful place to relax and meet other guests from all over the world. The rooms are beautifully done with air-conditioning, complimentary toiletries and reasonable prices mini bar. Very clean and outside shower beautiful. The pool is fantastic, the way you can swim around under the restaurant and with its pool bar and jacuzzi. You can swim any time and there was always a bed. Guest relations recommended the John Grey trip that was fantastic and some good local restaurants. Everyone was so friendly. The breakfast was cooked fresh everyday and there was plenty of choice and the Theme nights were great and the Thai red wine went really well with the food. We also had an amazing massage on the first day, that took all the stress of work away. Tip take high factor sun cream with you. Thanks everyone for making it a great holiday.

Bought a Groupon voucher which was a great price, unfortunately had to upgrade due to unavailable rooms when we wanted to come but room was good, beautiful balcony where you can lie in a hammock and relax. No pressure from the sales reps which was good,we didn't eat or drink in the resort thought it was a bit expensive but plenty of places in Rawai to eat and drink. All in all a great place to stay, very relaxing and a good price.

I was at the Mangosteen resort from 26th March 2016 for six nights with my husband. I had bought the Voucher from Groupon. Initially, I had thought it was a gimmick, asking for us to upgrade as the standard rooms were fully booked. I spoke to other guests, as it turned out, in order to get those Groupon deals, you have to book way in advance as they are very popular world wide. Not surprised, indeed very good value for money. I went for the upgrade and I can say, I was not disappointed at all. Cookie, as anyone been there will know, is a fabulous customer service guy. He made our stay a memorable one. If I may use the term "fantasy island" to describe this place, it was just that!!. It is located on a hill with fabulous sea view. Cookie introduced us to other guests and it sort of got the ball rolling. Everyone were so friendly by the pool enjoying "Happy Hour". We bought their famous buffet dinners for Monday and Thursday night. While the food tasted nice, do not expect large king prawns or large selection of seafood as there were none. I suppose that boils down to their food budget. Yes, we had to make an appointment for some presentation. It was conducted with Lee. We ended up running out of time and Lee was not trouble by it. He did not put any pressure on us. He just said perhaps on another time and wished us well. We upgraded to a Garden Villa with free 30 minutes spa each. The beautiful room is very spacious and the bed was firm which is recommended for our bad back. Our fruit basket was refilled daily which was nice. And we took advantage of the free shuttle to Hai Narn beach on two occasions and a trip to one of the local market. If you have the chance to do the free yoga on the Wednesday morning, do attend. Only place I had done yoga in the open space overlooking the Andaman sea. Beautiful...Om Will I go back again? Most certainly. Hubby just asked me to add, the only negative he has, the toiletries. Whilst it was a novelty having those good quality shampoos/conditioners/bath gel/lotions in the Mangosteen containers, it was not practical.

"Wonderful Relaxing Resort"

I booked the resort through Interval International and the whole booking process was simple and straight forward. We arrived after 9pm and check in was a breeze. Our villa room was big and clean and well laid out we knew immediately that our stay would be a good one. The resort is beautifully designed and very well maintained with staff that truly go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Notable mentions are Tip, Moo, Kwan, Jessie and Kat. I was impressed with Cookie's ability to remember names even though we did not interact with him much he was always extremely friendly and good humoured. My wife and I spent many hours in or relaxing by the fantastic pool and enjoying the wonderful mixed scenery of the mountains and the ocean. Day trips were easily organised with reception and walking to the local shops and cafes was a real adventure. We enjoyed the two theme nights on the Monday and Thursday and must compliment the variety and quality of food that was provided. We highly recommend the Mangosteen Resort and would definitely stay here again.
