Arrived early and they got us into a great room that was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and with a kitchenette to boot. The complimentary breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. The clean and quiet location is 2 blocks from the ferry, across the street from the parliament building, and a couple minute walk to the downtown and other attractions. I will absolutely stay at the Embassy again whenever I am in the area.

Our family of 4 (including two children under 5) plus a Grandma and Uncle stayed at the Parkside for three nights while visiting Victoria. We had a two bedroom suite. It doesn't get more comfortable than this place. Beautiful full kitchen, large dining area, balcony, two beautiful bathrooms, gas fireplaces in master bedroom and living room. Beautiful lobby and pool as well. We loved it! Our one and only complaint is that the laundry facility in the room was a combined washer/dryer. It took us several attempts to figure out how to use it and then after trying to dry a load of clothes for 2 days, we finally gave up. We also read every page of the lengthy instruction manual and still didn't get it. If you have a baby like us and need to wash clothes, you'll probably have to hang dry them unless our machine was broken or we just couldn't figure out what we were doing wrong. Despite that we will stay here again for sure! Awesome place.

My husband and i stayed here for our anniversary. The hotel itself is beautifully contructed. When we checked in, we were offered a glass of sparkling wine each which was a nice touch. The front desk staff brought us to our room and explained a few things to us...like how to operate the fireplace, heating,ect. We loved the jacuzzi tub and the fact that […] there was some nice bath salts, soap, chapsticks,cookies,ect that where complimentary and where all products from their spa.Our only complaint in the room was that the mattress had a zipped up protector on it that felt like you where sleeping on plastic...somewhat uncomfortable. Pillows could have been a little fluffier too. Other then that we injoyed our room. Unfortunately I can not recommend the restuarants at the hotel. My husband ate the halibut and I had the salmon dish...both where VERY dry. Later we had mussles at their pub and was very fishy tasting..not much flavor at all. Very expensive food and poor quality. We ordered room service for breakfast the following morning...breakfast was pretty good....although they forgot our pot of coffee, cream, butter and ketchup so we had to call them back to our room...no discount for their mishap. I would recommend eating elsewhere if you are staying at this hotel...although im not sure if there is much in the selection of restuarants that are decent out in Brentwood Bay. Do your research! "Great night away"
