Great location for visiting the numerous sites and attractions of Liverpool / Merseyside whilst being on the outskirts of the city itself. Fabulous building which is immaculately maintained being the old LiverpoolAirport. Staff very pleasant. Only complaint is that you have to pay for Internet service so we found ourselves walking over to Macdonalds on the retail park opposite where it is FREE! If you plan to spend most of your trip in Livedpool City Centre be aware that you would need some transport. Luckily taxis and public transport are readily available.

We were very pleased with the central location of the hotel. There was wonderful shopping and many restaurants right outside our door. The view from our 7th floor apartment was lovely (gigantic floor to ceiling windows). My only complaint would be the size of the bedrooms - it was difficult to find a place for our suitcases in the bedrooms. Everything else was great - we would definitely return!

Nice clean hotel continent location for a Beatles fan 1 block from the museum maybe less. Good restaurants around the hotel. Helpful staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Stone Villa in Chester The manager made us feel very welcome and gave us the information we needed to get around Chester. The breakfast provided was a Great way to start the day. It was our first B&B and my wife and I and our teenage girls enjoyed it there.

"great location, but who puts carpet in a bathroom?"
I think that the other rooms were probably nicer. The room was fine, but the bathroom was carpeted, and the carpet had really seen better days. (What is it with England and carpeting in the bathroom?) Extremely friendly and helpful service. Location was really close to the university and train station.

"Good Hotel but restaurant needs improvement."
Only ate at the restaurant one time in the evening. I was not at all impressed with the menu or presentation of the food. Find other places to eat. The room was great and suited my needs. Very clean and comfortable. The ladies and gentlemen who worked the reception desk were extremely helpful and pleasant. I will stay there again.
only negative about this hotel was the room was quite compact yet the bathroom was quite spacious

nice hotel which was clean and tidy and it was also well priced.bit of a walk to echo arena but not too bad because it was near city centre.staff were helpful also.did not have breakfast which was a bit over priced but most hotels are the same.overall i would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Not a comfortable place to stay"
The room was very small and had difficulty moving around when there are two people in the room. The washroom(toilet) is so tiny and the washbasin is extra tiny and had difficulty washing my face. It meant for hand washing only! The bedskirt had stains of something spilled on to it. Asked for an iron and when it came, the cloth covering the board was […] so dirty I couldn't place my clothes on top of it. Will never stay in this hotel again. "Nightmare Parking"
Nice hotel and location to ity centre. Parking awful, very few places so advised by reception to park at the nearest public multi story located a ten min walk away. This would have been ok but as it was new year, if we'd parked there we'd have been unale to drive home for two days as it was locking up over the bank holiday. I feel the hotel staff should […] have known this. As it was we had to park outside the front of the hotel which was free from 6pm-8am, therefore before six we had to keep feeding money into the meter, and had to do the same the following morning at enormous epense. This fact alone will prevent us ever staying at this hotel again. Also, despite the rooms being ok, the small size of it made our stay almost claustophobi. Read more

"Nice hotel"
I had a pleasent stay here. Staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable. Walking distance from Lime St Station and the University which were the two places I needed to be! I'd stay here again.

How this hotel is ranked as a 4 start is beyond me. No hot water before 7am. No control over heat in the room. Tired decor and dirty. Bad

Stayed for a weekend. Tiny room, tiny bathroom and very warm and clammy in room. On plus side, location is excellent. 5 minute walk into city centre. But wouldn't stay again or reccommend to a friend.

The location was excellent. Between the city centre and the university. Our room could have done with a refurb. Cracked tiles in the bathroom and the toilet didn't always flush. We didn't have a kettle but one was brought straight away. The dining room and bar were very pleasant and there was a free bar between 5pm and 7pm. The staff and service were […] very good. The hotel is near the University of Liverpool and Catholic cathedral, and only a short walk into the city centre. Despite being so central it was relatively quiet (I was woken at around 3am by one group of party-goes returning, but the rest of the time it was really quiet) The room (standard) was a reasonable size, clean and nicely decorated. "The Feathers is a charming old style hotel"
The Feathers is in a great location for theatres, restaurants and uni buildings also for shopping. A bit further to walk to the Albert Dock. Some rooms are tiny but perfectly sufficient - all rooms I've stayed in were very quiet. Free car parking on site too.

A well presented hotel with a fine mix of swish modern efficiency and charm from a bygone era. Situated in a relatively quiet location 2 minutes walk from the university (our initial destination for the evening) whilst also being within 10-15 minutes from the heart of the city's nightlife and shopping. Also extremely handy for the main line station […] (Lime Street.) Pay and display parking at the front and secure parking at the rear which cost £ 7.50 par day but was well worth it given that we were allowed to leave the car there until late afternoon on the day of check out. From check-in to leaving the staff were cheerful friendly and helpful. The so called "executive room" was in an area of the hotel with a nautical theme. Although not the largest of rooms everything was clean tidy and the decor and furnishings worked well to create an atmosphere way above the usual sterile feel of competitors. The teddy bear and Fererro Rocher chocs were a nice touch and all went to enhance the experience. Bar service and choice excellent although a little pricey and the breakfast again first class. All in all a gem of a hotel ideally situated in the heart of a vibrant city at a price on a par with Travelodge. We will most definately use The Feathers again in the not too distant future. this was the smallest hotel room we had ever been in ,bed was up against the window and bathroom door other side of headboard, hole in the wall with a rail to hang clothes on, one chair and small unit with tea facilitie, when my patner had a shower I could hear running water, I put my head out of the bedroom window which was frosted glass to see water […] coming out of the brickwork and flowing into an open gulley full of water. Fint hotell, grei avstand til byen, bra service, bra frokost. Eneste negative er at det smeller en del i dørene i gangene, hører det godt når man er på rommet. Men alt i alt, vel verdt pengene, og absolutt et alternativ neste gang!

Hôtel correct mais ne mérite pas 4 étoiles la chambre est petite . le réglage de l'eau chaude est difficile car la température ne reste pas constante le Buffet du petit déjeuner est copieux hôtel bien situé et on peut visiter tous les sites touristiques à pieds

Positivt: Trevlig personal Rena rum och lokaler Hyfsat centralt, ca 10 min promenad till centrum Negativt: Badrummet (trångt och ofräscht badkar, träet på utsidan badkaret såg nästan mögligt ut) Trånga korridorer Frukosten; ok det som fanns men för litet utbud Dålig isolering på fönster och skallrande rutor när det blåser. (kanske typiskt England?) Trevligt hotell. bra frukost men duschen var av engelsk standard=usel. Många trappor om man bor högst upp.

Hotellet har fin beliggenhet, er sentrumsnært, men likevel i en gate som oppleves som rolig. Rommet var lite, men rent og praktisk. Sengen var komfortabel, og det var lite støy utenfor vinduet nattestid. Servicen var upåklagelig, men blide og vennlige ansatte. Hotel in buona posizione ma la parte non ristrutturata è decisamente antiquata, piccola scomoda e non attrezzata la stanza, manca l'ascensore e le scale sono piccole e tortuose. Discreta la colazione in spazi comuni non eccezionali, gentile il personale, quasi un bed and breakfast.
