Our recent 1 night stay at Kona Seaside was very pleasant & comfortable. I had forgotton my shirt in the closet at Hilo Seaside Hotel the night before. Nani assisted & contacted Hilo Seaside who retrieved the shirt. She was very helpful in coordinating with the Hilo Seaside staff to have my shirt returned to me. The professionalism & caring is great & our future bookings will always be there at Kona Seaside.

"Enjoyed the stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 15, 2012
The hotel was nice and had a good location but as far as parking is concerned there was nearly none. But the good thing was that they provided a discount for the paid parking across the street, only $5 for 24 hours, better than some others. The bed was not comfortable and a couple of other little things but we are easy to please and for the price I would stay again.
"Just great"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 31, 2012
Loved it. Although we were not on the ocean side, it was still just fine. We could use the pool and go over and watch the sunset.

Luxury resorts, sprawling golf courses, and white sands line the Kohala Coast – Waikoloa. Hawaii’s sunniest coast is a must-go for beachgoers. It is also known as the cradle to King Kamehameha, Hawaii’s greatest king. His influence can be seen at the nearby Pu’ukohola Heiau National Historic Site, where visitors can see the temple of war he built before unifying the Hawaiian Islands.
see all hotels in Hawaii (The Big Island)"Great resort, excellent service"
We stayed 4 nights here on vacation. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they don't charge any bogus fees. We even got upgraded to a ground floor room. The only negative I would say is there are limited options in terms of dining as the nearest town is quite far. But the resort food is excellent, abeit pricey.
"great spot."
I would go back here in a heartbeat. It is super nice..great little beach and pool plus the staff is very freindly and kind.
"Great Vacation Hotel"
The service is wonderful, location is ideal. Hotel gave us free upgrade , which was nice and a great value. At pool they provide samples of smoothies and ice cream bars. At beach, they have all the equipment you'd want. Other beaches may have more waves or better snorkeling, but they are easily accessible nearby. Restaurants/Food is very good and many […] other nearby options at nearby hotels. Family loved the vacation. Read more
"Mauna Lani February 2012"
As an experienced resort traveler, I found that the Mauna Lani exceeded my expectations in almost every way. From the moment we checked in, the service was impeccable. This may not be the most sophisticated of the hotels in the area, or the most expensive, but the overall experience was second to none. The hotel is big enough to have all the facilities […] almost anyone would want, from great golf courses to a fitness center, to plenty of secluded beach seating, but intimate enough because of the great service, that one never feels like you're in a large, impersonal chain. A couple of small negatives. The week we were there the hotel hosted an award trip for about 200 farmers and seed sales people from the Midwest. They definitely diminished the urbanity of the guests that week, and you wouldn't find a group like this at the Four Seasons. Second, the beach is relatively small and loaded with lava rock. Even with these two negatives, we loved every minute of our stay and highly recommend this hotel. Read more

"Definitely a good value for your money!"
This hotel is really beautiful and in a great location that is convenient to Waikaloa, and Waimea. The staff is very nice and helpful with everything. The only negative things I can say is that the rooms are small and pretty dark. There are nicer hotels in the area like the Four Seasons and Waikaloa Hilton, but they will be much more money. This hotel […] really offers a lot of amenities for the price! Read more
"Bliss!"
This hotel was one fo the first resorts on the big island. It still is kept in immaculate condition though some areas of age (barely noticable). All the staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. Room is super clean, has luxurious - we had great views of the sunset and mountains. Get a room on the mountain side, better view as well as pool could get loud. […] resort is perfectly situatied. Has its own golf course, spa (amazing!), and private beach. Close to Waimea, Kona, and all the west coast beaches and adventures. Easy options to get to Hilo. The free snorkel equip, wifi, and valet parking are huge pluses! Read more

"Mauna Lani Bay Hotel on the Big Island"
I had heard of this great hotel over the years. I found it on Hotels.com and made a reservation for a long weekend. (We were already on Oahu.) We loved everything about this hotel - the facility, location, setting, service, dining, and most of all the very friendly staff. I also appreciated the fact that this hotel does not nickel and dime you to death. […] They provide complimentary bikes, snorkel gear, etc. There was never a sense of getting fleeced. I highly recommend the Mauna Lani! Read more
"Great quiet getaway!"
My fiance and I took a 2 week vacation to Hawaii and ended our trip at the Mauna Lani hotel (4 nights). This is just what we needed to getaway and relax. The beach was GORGEOUS and the chairs/cabanas were free to use. We really enjoyed the hotel and found that it was quiet and not at full capacity. We were able to lay on the beach and felt like we were […] the only ones there. The only downfall was that everything seemed to shut down by 8:30 or 9:00. We would typically go for a late dinner and they were already closed. We did eat several nights at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse at "The Shops" on the hotels grounds (this was priced the same as the resort food and was amazing). We will definitely be returning to the Mauna Lani, but if you are looking for more nightlife then this is not for you. Read more

Perfect.
"Very friendly luxury"
Was very happy with the Mauna Lani. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations excellent. We liked the laid back atmosphere while still in a luxurious setting. The food at all hotel restaurants was excellent, especially the Canoe House. Would definitely come back again.

We just got back from a wonderful week at the Mauna Lani with our three children. It is my new favorite hotel on the big island. It has a lovely, low key, peaceful feeling to it even during the busy holiday season. The pool and beach facilities were fabulous. It's not a huge pool, but it's big enough. If you want the giant pool with waterslides and […] waterfalls, go elsewhere. The beach was wonderful and the staff at the beach hut were so nice. It's a really great protected beach, perfect for all ages and activities. Snorkeling was outstanding at the nearby beach club (10 minute walk). As with all Hawaiian hotels, the restaurants are expensive and there are only a few options at the hotel. We rented a car so that we could explore other eating options. At the hotel, we ate most of our lunches and a few dinners at the Ocean Grill, the more casual poolside/beachside grill .This was perfect for kids and the food was consistently good. Read more
"Manui Lani was incredible"
We loved our stay with the Manui Lani. Everything was great from the moment we arrived on property until we left. They treated us wonderfully and everything was better than we could of imagined.
"Top- Notch Resort!"
Extremely pleasant. Better than all other resorts except perhaps the Four Seasons, but the Mauna Lani grounds are absolutely uniquely marvelous with sprawling fish ponds and walking areas. Tennis courts are nearby and overall, there's a lovely airy feeling at the resort. Abundant sea turtles feeding at the waters edge at many times throughout the day! The […] southern most coves have outstanding snorkeling spots and a short drive to "49 Black-sand beach" is worthwhile for an early snorkeling. Dinner at the Canoe House is top-notch!. Highly recommended over the Fairmont Orchid, which is not as glamorous. Stay here and drive to Four Seasons for lunches or dinner! The island is a Lava desert and the Mauna Lani is one of the best oasis on the island: certainly the Kohala Coasts' finest. Read more

"Fabulous"
Everything was really special. Thanks Mauna Lani staff and management
"Fantastisk hotel resort"
Kunne godt havde brugt min 2 ekstra dage. Read more
"Dejligt ophold"
Read more

"Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows"
