I prefer king beds; however, king beds were not avilable in the type of room I had. Otherwise, the best hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Upgrade to suite"
Thank you for the upgrade to the 1 bedroom suite! The additional room made for a nicer visit.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside Dear Guest, thank you for your feedback. I'm glad to hear that you were able to receive a complimentary upgrade to a One Bedroom Suite. I understand your sentiments regarding the charge of $25.00/ night for parking and appreciate your feedback. We aim to offer a secure underground parking service at a reasonable rate and find that our prices are lower than several similar style hotels in Whistler. We also offer complimentary valet services for your convenience. We look forward to welcoming you back again.
"A winner! Best location and very comfortable hotel"
I stayed there March 10-16, 2012, for a few days of snowboarding. The best thing about this hotel is it's location. Step out and you are right at the main base of both Blackcomb and Whistler mtns, where you find Blackcomb gondola, Fitzsimmon lift, and Whistler gondola. It's also right on the lively Village Stroll with lots of restaurants, shops, and […] a supermarket. My room was updated, beautiful, and clean, with a kitchenette that had a fridge, oven, stove, microwave, and even a dishwasher. It was stocked with eating and cooking utensils, dishes and glass wares, and even dishwashing detergent. The gas fireplace was a pleasant surprise. I would have liked to have had a room facing the mountains intead of the streets. The early morning noise from the delivery trucks bugged me a bit. The bed was a little stiff. But the linens were very soft and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to Whistler. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Will Stay Here Again!!"
What an awesome experience! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautiful. We were upgraded to a suite and liked our room much better than our friend's room at the Westin. Stay here!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"A lovely mid size hotel ..."
A cosy, friendly atmosphere, convenient, homey boutique hotel which is great for skiing and relaxing vacation. Staffs are superb nice!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Whistler mountian bike trip"
I had an amazing time in this hotel. My buddies stayed at some beater across the street (sorry, but it was) The Pan Pacific was new and the staff was great. Room service from the pub was just ok. Fries were cold but it was late...My view was insane...Stay here, it's well worth it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would love to go back again"
We just returned from staying at the Pan Pacific for three nights. We were satisfied with everything about the hotel. The location is right by the gondolas and all that the town has to offer, but the rooms were very quiet at night. Staff was helpful and housekeeping kept the rooms very clean. If we are able to go to Whistler again (and I hope that we […] can), I would stay at the Pan Pacific Mountainside again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Was worried about noise at first"
It cannot be emphasized enough how 'in the middle of everything' this hotel is. I didn't quite realize that when I booked my stay and was anxious about noise when we checked in. That turned out to be groundless, and we really enjoyed our stay (and our sleep) here. We never heard our neighbors and the outside noise wasn't bad. The staff was exceedingly […] competent and hospitable. The room was spotless, the kitchen was open, efficient and had everything I needed, and it's steps away from anything. At the end of a long day - it felt great to soak in the deep tub and curl up in front of the fireplace in the robes provided. There was planty of hot water at all times and the water pressure was excellent. The linens were good quality, there were plenty of pillows, and there's also space in the closet to store skis in the winter. I love to cook and always look for a hotel with a kitchen. This one was one of the nicer ones I've used. The appliances were newer, the counters and floor were granite and the fridge was larger than dorm-sized. The layout was efficient and open, and I found it very useable. Everything was nice, classic and tasteful. There's a nice little grocery and a liquor store very close by. There's a much larger supermarket near the main entrance to the Village from Hwy 99. The local salmon really should not be missed! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I stayed here during the summer and to ride the bike park. The hotel has secure storage for your bike and I felt very comfortable leaving it in their valet access storage. Hotel staff was very courteous. Rooms were small, but comfortable. Valet and self parking are the same price, which seems a little ridiculous. Terrific location in the village.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside - Fantastic"
Our stay at the Pan Pacific Mountainside was truly wonderful. I tend to be on the picky side when it comes to cleanliness and this hotel is maintained to perfection. We were there to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. Staff made sure we had everything we needed. I mentioned I wanted to be on a higher floor and the young lady at the desk made sure […] that happened. We stayed in a Junior suite and I was concerned when I realized we would have a Murphy bed (double pull down) but it worked out beautifully. The room is small but it is just perfect for two people. If you have more than two, definitely consider the one bedroom instead. The kitchen was just the right size and even had a dishwasher and oven. We just used it for breakfast and a few lunches. However, you do have the ability to cook a complete meal if you choose. Bath was always clean with new towels added daily. There is a balcony but it is small - just room for one chair. We loved to open the door and smell the cool mountain air in the morning. All in all, a cute and cozy little room. Thank you to the Pan Pacific for a wonderful stay. We will be back!!!! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We didn't want to leave. All the staff were so helpful answering our many questions. "Great hotel and great employees"
The queen rooms have murphy beds of which I was leary. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was very well laid out. The employees were very friendly and helpful. There was a noise issue outside on our last night and the staff was very accomodating to make it right. The hotel was on the edge of the village so I think it was more quiet than others […] might have been. Room keys are needed to access floors with rooms which gives more security. All in all, it was a great experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Loved the fully equipped kitchen. Stayed for four days/three nights and we were able to cook indoors for almost all of our meals to cut down costs. Ate out twice. This hotel is steps from the start of the peak to peak gondola experience (the base of Whistler), an absolute must do. "great hotel in Whistler"
Positive: very helpful staff, three nights for the prize of two in summer season, even our room got upgraded for free, mountain view from our hotel window (we saw bears), very comfortable room with everything we needed, nice and reasonably priced Irish restaurant and pub, nice swimming pool and hot tub on terrace. Negative: the pub which plays music […] every night was under our window, and the mountain view from our window was actually on a busy downhill bicycle piste where also road works were taking place Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Always had a good feeling"
I was in Whistler for a business trip and my wife and two children came along. The suite we stayed in was bright, nicely furnished and very clean. During the day my wife had the children at the outdoor pool that looks out above the bike park, tearing around the village on the run bikes or exploring the many parks and trails adjacent to the hotel. Having […] restaurants like the Dublin Gate, Sushi Village and The Mexican Corner within steps was also a real bonus. On previous visits we had always wondered about the Pan Pacific Mountainside because of it's proximity to the bike park and the upper deck outdoor pool. Now, I don't think we'll stay anywhere else! Great hotel in a great locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
perfectly located at the base of Whistler and the lift over to Blackcomb. kitchen was a little small and could use a few extras - like tongs and paper towel and maybe a second fry pan, but it was great! our room overlooked the pool so a little noisy if people were out there but great view of the mountain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pub Noise is an Issue"
It was very good accept the rooms facing the mountain have to put up with the noise from the pub below and the people outside. This is of course after a wonderful day skiing, good dinner in a nice restaurant and a pleasant stroll through the village. Then back to the room to here loud music and loud people until all hours of the early morning!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic hotel for skiing at Whistler"
Room was great, location great, pool great, Irish bar great. Only issue was the lockers for your ski gear were too small and there was no boot warmers to get your ski boots dry overnightGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Locals stay-cation; Exceeded our expectations!"
We had a great stay at the Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside. The room smelt like a spa and there was a card and chocolate from the hotel when we arrived in the room. The pool and hot tub was so nice after a day on the hill.Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent hotel with a great location. Staff were very friendly and very attentive to all requests for advice or information. My son is a wheelchair user and all facilities were accessable without the need for any special equipment. "Location convenient for beginner skiers."
Silent sleep and yet could have wild nightlife if I wanted to with Dublin pub on ground floor. Tall windows let in a lot of light with great view of mountain. Housekeeper kept things clean but couldn't find tag for do not disturb. Handy kitchen but could not find baking sheet after service staff told us to look in drawers. Overall very comfortable and […] short walk to ski lift made my stay great. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great place to stay. Slope side with everything geared to an easy ski. Lockers good although not for boots which most carry to their rooms overnight. Always a valet to hand to help. Staff at reception excellent and easily enabled restaurant bookings- essential to do in advance especially at busy times or in our case a busy time combined with huge snow […] dumps. Rooms were faultless with lots of nice extras incl bathrobes, Starbucks coffee, biscuits for children at half five, hot chocolate when watching show on sun night. We had issue with bin emptying at 1am (4th floor) but staff were happy to move us to a quieter location. My only negative comment is that this is not a quiet place overall to stay with the piste bashers starting work around 4am most mornings but I would imagine the same applies to any of the slope side residences.........and the access to slopes and village facilities more than makes up for this. Would definitely stay again!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside Hi Mel, Thank you for so generously sharing your feedback from your recent trip experience with us here in resort. I am so happy to read that everything was to your satisfaction and the extra 'touches', such as the bathrobes, the complimentary hot chocolate during the Fire & Ice shows and the children's cookie programme were a hit with you and your family. Apologies for any noise issues you experienced with the snow removal and snowcats. As you mentioned, the 'downside' to receiving very generous and frequent 'dumps' of snow, is that these operators do need to work tirelessly throughout the night. I hope that this did not inconvenience you unnecessarily during your stay. We may just hold you to your last comment and will certainly look forward to being able to welcome you back once again. "Disappointing for the money"
I would expect more from the Pan Pacific. Things such as necklaces iron that did not work, or the shower faucet falling off every time it was turned to the coffee machine not working is not what I would expect from the service associated with Pan Pacific. Response by Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside Dear valued guest Thank you for taking the time to provide this invaluable feedback. This is genuinely appreciated and it is from everyone's experiences and subsequent feedback such as yours, that we strive to continually learn and improve. It is clear that we did not appear to meet the usual high standards that we set for ourselves during your visit and I can only apologize on behalf of our team and hope that this did not impact on your overall enjoyment of your time away here in Whistler. "A perfect Thanksgiving away."
My husband and I decided to take a nice weekend away. We had stayed at the Pan Pacific Mountainside about 8 years ago and loved it. We were not disappointed with this stay. The hotel is right off the ski hill; great for early or late starts. The amenities were perfect for us. Our two chief complaints were that the hotel only had one elevator working at the time and parking wasn't free. Apart from that, all was well. It was also quiet season, so that may our stay that much better.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside Good day Mr & Mrs Jones Thank you kindly for sharing your comments of your recent time here. I am only too happy to read that your found our location and property amenities perfect for you. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience that may have been caused by one of our elevators being temporarily our of service. Never a great time for this to happen, but unfortunately the service was necessary maintenance and although we naturally tried to manage any disruption to our guests experience, we recognize that this may have not have been ideal during your stay. Thak you for your understanding in this instance. Regrettably, as for the parking costs - these are necessary as we do not own the parking lots but merely have secure access to these convenient underground onsite parkades. Naturally we do not wish for anyone to feel obliged to park with us, but naturally there is secure parking available for every guest should they wish this. I hope that any disruption during your stay was minimal and did not detract in anyway from your time here in Whistler. We shall look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
