This was an older but well kept motel. The romm was nice and clean. The staff was attentive and courteous. Breakfast was okay, one of those where you're better off if you get there very early. We ate enough but missed the good stuff. Walterboro was a town aged by the changing of times. Good barbq buffet at Dukes. We were taking our daughter to NC State and this is good enough to make our regular stop on future trips.

Came in late 10:30p on a Hotels.com reservation (overbooked), no rooms available except for a smoking full size bed on the Fourth Floor. Several trucks, boats and fancy cars CHOSE to take up more than their share of parking spaces, so the one available parking spot was in the dark section at the rear of the hotel. Upon gathering the luggage, the reader […] card did not work on the door and had to knock loudly to get the night person to open the LOCKED doors. Why lock if swipe cards are only access? Very disappointed and still had to pay full price with not a hint at providing comfort to the customer. Only good thing was the breakfast and leaving that place quickly. Read more

Quiet room with comfortable bed. Room had a microwave and fridge. If you are using your GPS - do not trust it. The hotel is right off I-95 - look for the signs for Hampton Inn. On our way down I-95 South, our GPS told us to get off an exit early and took us down some deserted back road to nowhere. You can clearly see the hotel and a Waffle House from […] the road. For what the rate was, the room should have been cleaner. The spread hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Also the carpet and tub just didn't instill confidence. The tap water was off. The mattress was well used and really should have been replaced. The staff was nice and breakfast was ok. The desk clerk sent us to Courtney's Bay Seafood, one exit north and it was the most delicious fried food I've had in a while. Very light and tender. No booze, but all the sweet tea you'd want. We didn't try the desserts. The next day we ate at Ray's Ribs in Yemassee and having been bred on Memphis style ribs, I have to say, these hit the spot. DELICIOUS! This hotel is located in a quite area of the SC low country, convenient to the highway and easy to locate. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was well kept and serene and inviting.

Hotel was fine. The neighborhood was poor with only fast food restaurants nearby. Desk did recommend a good sea food restaurant at the next interchange about 5 miles away.

The front desk staff, the breakfast, the hotel itself were all great. I do not for the life of me understand why the housekeeping staff has to be so loud so early in the morning. Doors slamming, loud singing, a complete lack of awareness. Even after two complaints nothing changed. I would think twice before staying here again.
