The idea of having to pay for Wi-fi still bothers me. Although, I have to admit that the hotel tics all of our other boxes. We found the location great and the front desk staff are second to none. They were very helpful with all of our questions.

The good: Central location, 1 minute walk to O'Connell street. Less than a minute walk to the ILAC Centre, less then 5 minutes to Henry Street and the Jervis Centre. Trinity College/ Grafton street was a 15 minute walk. Dublin on/off tour bus was a 1 minute walk on O'Connell street. Excellent staff. Our first day there, we arrived at 0800 and they let […] us check in early. The front desk people and the housekeeping staff really helped us a lot on that first day. The full irish breakfast was a real bargain, a good variety of hot and cold items and a lot of it ! My only complaints are no free wifi and the hardest pillows I have ever used. If we had had a pillow fight, there would have been some trauma. The room itself was fine. The bed was very firm but appeared to be fairly new. Water pressure and hot water was not a problem. The toilet tissue was like stationary, we went accross the street to Tesco and bought our own. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Jury's Inn and would stay again if we find ourselves in Dublin. Our room was quiet which was nice. The couch that folded into a bed was outdated and rugged. We didn't even sit on it or place anything near it it was so disgusting. We were fortunate since we had not planned to sleep on it. For friends sharing and planning on utilizing these fold outs all I can say is flip a coin and say a prayer that you get the real […] bed. everything was good...good service ...decent room...the room was ready 1/2 day early as I requested which worked out well...only complaint is the hotel stated on website that it had a currency exchange but the staff could not access the money until later in the a.m. which left us without the ability to get British money before an early morning train […] trip to Belfast...still we were able to find an exchange in Belfast with a little bit of hunting....all in all a good hotel...would stay there again...thanx Read more

i found the desk service curt,terse and unfriendly. there are no amenities provided,not even hair conditioner. the hair dryer is mysteriously hidden in the desk drawer and barely works for 1 minute at a time -deliberately. getting ready for early breakfast meeting i had to call ,beg for a haridryer. there was no iron or board to press my suit. i asked […] for a wak up call it was not made.wifi and internet is charged and at a high rate. coffee is poroffered downstairs but also at a cost. there was absolutely nothing in the favor of the customer.i found the location somewhat seedy. having a shampoo/conditioner nailed to the inside of the shower wall may be an "amentie" in someones book but ot in mine. i would not recomend this to any business person.! Hotel is close to everything and okay for families, small cafe's across the street along with grocery store. Hotel needs an update but if you want to walk Temple street is 10 min, Henry about 5 min. We stayed at the Parnell location

This is a lovely property with pleasant, modern rooms in a very clean building well located in Dublin. Too bad the staff is so indifferent. I tried hard to get a smile out of at least of the four staff I encountered...no luck. One woman with a strong Eastern European accent was critical of my accent, indicating that she had trouble understanding me. […] I have a very typical New York accent that no one who is fluent in English ever has difficulty understanding. My initial impression of this hotel chain was actually quite good. They have some pretty modern rooms and ammenities and everything worked. The location was great and we could walk to just about everything in Dublin. I enjoyed staying here and would recommend it to anyone, as long as they knew about the wi-fi. Apparently, this hotel chain is still stuck […] in 2005 and actually charges 5 euro an hour just to connect to the network. Needless to say, my girlfriend and I walked across the street to Starbucks and logged in there. Was just kind of disappointing not having it free in the rooms. Read more

The hotel is close to central Dublin, but a few blocks makes a big difference in terms of neighborhood. The surrounding streets had a rundown feel and it was uncomfortable walking late at night. Moderate price we had two rooms and needed to change one due to smokers in the room. Staff was very responsive and changed to another room. Overall a nice neighborhood and within walking distance of city center.

The hotel was nice overall. The only real downside was that there are no clocks in the room! That's a bit disappointing and inconvenient. But that's the only drawback. The rooms are small, but it's a nice hotel. And I felt very safe there because in order to operate the elevator from the ground floor, you had to enter your room key before it would move. […] And if you forget to insert your key into the slot, the doors won't open once you get to your floor. I accidentally booked an extra night at the hotel, and the front desk clerk was kind enough to make the long distance call to hotels.com to sort it out before I left, so I was able to get a refund for the last night. This is a pretty good location since it's walking distance to everything, but I think the other Jurys near Trinity College would be a better bet if you're in Dublin for vacation since it's in the heart of the city. This Jurys is close to Parnell Square and Oconnell St. - if you need to be in that area , it like all Jurys I have stayed in, is clean with a courteous staff . For the money , you'd be hard pressed to do better .

No clocks in the room. A real inconvenience. Soap and shampoo locked down to prevent stealing. If you take a bath you have to stand several times to get shampoo. That's dangerous. Why inconvenience guests that way while giving them an unlocked hair dryer for the taking? TV was a small screen from the 1970s. Few channels. Not interactive. Its the digital […] age now, duh. The location is very good with walking distance to everything, even airport coaches were only a two minute walk away. The room itself was clean but someone must have been smoking before and we had to open a window overnight before the smell went away. There is nothing at all wrong with this hotel. I need to make that clear right from the beginning. Its very clean, the staff is very friendly, even the restaurant food, though a bot on the pricey side, was delicious. The ONLY thing wrong with this hotel is its location. It's right off O' Connell St. and that is a scarey neighborhood to be in after dark, […] if you're a visitor to Dublin. it reminded me a lot of Times Square in New York in the 1970s... not a place you'd want to be with friends and family. Again, this isn't through any fault of the Hotel... They were magnificent., its just in the wrong part of town. This hotel is plain but clean and comfortable. It is also quite centrally located, just around the corner from O'Connell st. It's great for business ravelers, I would not recommend it for a romantic get-away. One other thng: it had a wired network, which I greatly prefer over the often unreliable wireless networks (esp. in the higher floors).

Great spot for sightseeing - close to the Tram but not in the noisy touristy section of Dublin. Best of all: free internet access from 2 desktops in the lobby. This was the only hotel of our 2 week trip that offered that convenience.
