Loved this hotel! Staff friendly and helpful, room was beautiful and we love the heated towel rack and warm robes during the snow and cold weather. Location was perfect, and close to shops and restaurants! Definitely will stay here for every visit back home to Boston!

Great location. The airport shuttle at Copley square made the transport to and from the hotel almost effortless. With a subway stop just around the corner you could navigate the city with ease. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.

This hotel is located in the most beautiful area of Boston, Back Bay. Although the weather was less than optimal the night we spent in this hotel, staff greeted us on arrival and a cozy resturant bar welcomed us with their famous old fashions. Overall great updated modern room ( with a towel heater) and a keurig. A definite must stay!

The hotel staff gave a very warm welcome and couldn't do enough to help during my stay. It is a new hotel and the rooms are very comfortable with all the amenities one needs. I would recommend this hotel and if I am in Boston again I would stay there once more.

We traveled for leisure and used the subway system to arrive at the hotel. The Hotels close (approx. 2 Blocks away) proximity to the "T" (Subway System) was very useful. However, upon check-in we were told that they would give us a call when our room came available. One problem...we never received a call and finally just showed-up around 6 P.M. to find that they had our room ready, but never called. This is unacceptable in a Hotel of this caliber. With concern to accommodations, we felt the rooms were very nice and comfortable. The Bedding felt wonderful and on par with similar rated hotels in the area. The restaurant/bar was well staffed and perfect for a quick drink or snack. One item that should be addressed is that the lounge area off the reception desk does not refill or restock coffee/hot water during evening hours. This would have been a nice treat after arriving back from a long day exploring Boston. Overall a nice Hotel in a Great Town.

Listen, this is a nice hotel. But for the money and luxury tag they put on the description...well...the Westin down the street was comparable. The bathroom was a disaster. Fake faucets. Plastic shower head set too low. I'm picky here, but for 5 bills a night? You've got to do better.

Stayed for a weekend to catch a concert and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff. The location is close to shopping and food. A bit of a walk to the North End and many of the tourist attractions but if you like to stay in a quiet area and travel to the busy areas it's perfect. They offer complimentary tea in their sitting area and have a nice outdoor seating area in their bar/ restaurant.

Chose this hotel as we had stayed before and loved the location. Unfortunately we were given a room which overlooked the external extractor for the air conditioning which meant there was a constant drone all night keeping us awake. The staff were understanding and moved us to another room for the second night but the problem was just the same as there was an external fan from another property. The staff seemed willing to help they obviously did not really understand the problem and did not take the trouble to check the room before allocating the change. We did not return to the hotel until the evening by which time there was no point in asking to change again. Felt like we had paid rather a lot of money for 2 very restless nights.

Very nice stay. The rooms are oddly shaped, so sometimes cramped-feeling. Service is stellar. Went for a birthday visit, and can't remember if we mentioned it in passing or how they would know, but I had a card and some chocolates when we got back to our room after my birthday dinner. What a nice surprise! The location was terrific, right in the middle of things, a short walk whether you want a great pastry (Flour), some history, or a little night life. Down to the bar for an after dinner drink with nice atmosphere.

Our experience here was very positive. Check-in was quick and pleasant. Everyone at the desk was helpful. Housekeeping personnel were friendly and accommodating. My only 'issue' (which I did not address during our stay) was that the overflow opening in the bathroom sink did not appear to have been cleaned in quite some time. Location of hotel is very good--very easy to get around on foot. Would stay here again!!!

My girlfriend and I came to Boston for a weekend to visit some of her extended family, and another luxury hotel I usually stay at was booked, so a friend of mine recommended this one. He works in the hotel industry in Boston, so I booked a King room immediately at a good rate. When we showed up, we were greeted with the news that we received an upgrade to what the staff later told us was the nicest suite in the place. And let me say that, while I've stayed in some of the better hotels in a few different major American cities, this suite was simply incredible. The size of a one bedroom apartment, with an amazing bathroom, great bed, wonderful living room, two TVs, and an area that served as a nice dining room for breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was excellent. The only ding was no minibar in the suite for some reason, but quite honestly, I cared very little, once I saw how amazing the accommodations were. The location is great, short walk from Boston Commons and the waterfront, with good shopping and a nice downtown ambience all around. Highly recommended.

Went for a quick weekend trip and the hotel was great. The room is the strong point of the hotel- they have his/hers closets, very comfortable beds, great blowdryer, nice water pressure, etc. The Precinct restaurant was good for a pre dinner drink or afternoon to watch sports. The waitresses were very friendly and the atmosphere is nice, but the food was not fabulous. The location of the hotel is fantastic. I would say the receptionists aren't the friendliest, but other than that, good hotel.

Overall we had a good experience during our stay. There were a few things I would change. The lighting was odd and to put the bathroom light on we had to turn a very bright room light on, which was not good if you used the bathroom during the night and the bathroom vanity area lights were very low. Also, between one of the beds and a wall with a window was a chair blocked you from getting to the light in the corner of the room and the window and was shoved in so tight you couldn't move it. The restaurant food and service was very good as well as the Concierge Heather who was very professional and made us feel at home. I would have liked a small frig. The Kerig coffee machine was a nice touch.

This Loews hotel is in a historic building, formerly a police station located in the Back Bay area/Theatre district. It is more like a boutique hotel, smaller but high end amenities. The room was wonderful and luxurious. Staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. There were plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance. We went to the historic armories building/castle which is now Smith & Wollensky. Amazing building and history! I would highly recommend this hotel!

I highly recommend the Loews. It is an excellent hotel. The staff was helpful, courteous and always willing to help. It is a few blocks from Boston Commons, has a great outdoor patio to its bar and restaurant and is most comfortable.

Had a great time in Boston. This was an excellent central location near subway stations and walking distance to many of the local attractions. The general area is relatively quiet. The hotel is in a historical building and has a nice restaurant and bar area.

This hotel understands what travelers want today. This trip we stayed in three hotels in Boston, Loews is the only one we will return to, next time. Great lobby-coffee room; very nice interesting food in the Precinct (dinning).

Overall, a bad experience. There was no one at the front desk when I arrived. This was stressful because I was in a hurry to check in and get to a wedding, but in fairness, the staff would not have known that. The room was very, very small, and there was no trash can in the room. The bathroom light didn't work, so it was very dark in the bathroom. The phone in the room didn't work. There was a second phone in the bathroom that did work, but to use it, I had to hang out in the dark bathroom. Two hours after checking in, I received a series of voicemails and texts saying there was a problem with my reservation. I was at a wedding, but the message said to call immediately, so I stepped outside, waited on hold for 15 minutes, and eventually had to call the front desk directly. They explained that they had oversold the rooms that night, but would let me stay because I had already checked in. A little annoying to have to deal with this, but I understand that mistakes happen. Then, at 11pm, the same thing. More texts about problems with my reservation. Again, I had to contact them to see if I was being kicked out of my room... at 11pm! In the end, they let me stay, but the experience was a headache. I don't see a reason to go back when there are plenty of other nice hotels nearby.

Over priced for hotel Not the Ritz But same price

This time of year in Boston is very busy and this causes all of the hotels in the area to be higher in price. We are a different company thanthe Ritz Carlton, however, we do provide 4 diamond service. I thank you for your feedback, and hope you would consider visiting the Loews Boston again.
