Overall it is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. The reason for the overall rating of 4 is that the fire alarm went off just after midnight on our last night before an early morning departure for the airport. It ended up being not applicable to our floor and significantly disrupted a good night's sleep. "A horrible experience"
My wife arrived late from the airport having already paid through expedia and we were told that the reservation was no longer available as they had over booked. They send her to another hotel which made her wait for an available room. The next day and without her permission they moved her to another room including taking personal cloth ware from drawers. […] When she returned to find that they had moved her to another room she found that there were several bags missing. She complaint to the Manager and after several hours they were able to miraculously find the items. This was a horrible experience and I partly blame Expedia not to have better control of the hotels they promote especially when one has paid the full stay at least 1 month in advance. It isn't as easy as making a telephone call or sending an email...who would have thought! I appreciate you bringing it to our attention but we continue to work on it. My son and a friend needed a place to stay overnight while attending a concert at The House of Blues in Boston. They took the train into Boston's Back Bay Station. We visited Boston in April, 2014 while visiting colleges with our daughter. I booked into to the Loews Hotel Boston because I could not get in at the Copley Plaza or the Taj. I'm really glad they were booked up because the Loews was more comfortable than either of those hotels, and much less expensive as well. Our room was spotless and very quiet. They provided us with huge bath towels (I think they call them bath mats) which is a very nice luxury touch. The hotel supplied lotion and shampoo had a really nice scent too.
