We loved this Hotel! Coming from California all the way to Boston to see a Patriots game, I was amazed how beautiful it was! Great price, perfect location for tourist attractions and great dining, pub hopping. Door men were so nice and helpful! I wouldn't change a thing! Love to come back!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice hotel in great location in Back Bay."
I found this hotel to offer excellent service. I brought my dog with me. Usually when you bring a dog you are put in a remote section of the hotel. I assured the staff my pooch did not bark and would be out most of the day. I was given a lovely room near the elevator. The room was spotless and cleaned every day (you would be surprised at what I have […] experienced in fancy name brand hotels). They also gave me a great bag filled with essentials for my dog. The room was very comfortable. Heated rack for the towels, sensor light in the bathroom, bath robes & remote control for TV cleaned every day. They wrap it in cardboard. Room service was great with one of the best burgers ever. Breakfast downstairs was delicious. Free wifi. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Visiting my son at Berklee College of Music"
Great location. Close to everything in the Backbay area, but not on a busy street with city noise.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this property. Impeccable service from literally everyone. Location is excellent - walking distance to most sites. Would return and recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
Location is great. Easy walk to Boylston Street and Copley area. Room was small and extras pricey. View from window was of a back alley.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendly, helpful staff"
On the bad side: Our room was small and the carpets, kinda gross. The street side is really noisy. The good side: Great staff. Really helpful and kind professional people. Everything else was really clean and I do like that their windows open. It's also close to the green line.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not worth the price"
We booked through Expedia a "deluxe" room at Loews. Everything was ok, but a far cry from "deluxe" at a 4 star hotel. As it happens, we also stayed (earlier in the week) at a different 4 star hotel in the same neighborhood in Boston; that one was 10 times better than Loews. The main issue is that while the lobby is nice, the rooms are dated, relatively […] small, and nothing more than a standard 3 star hotel. The price was extremely high for what we got. To get an idea of the "4 stars" of Loews: there was an empty fridge in the room (yes the mini-bars are a rip-off, but arriving late at night in the room they have a certain appeal). The only thing in the room was a 7$/bottle of water. Compared with the other hotel (again 4 star deluxe), where we got complimentary water, and well stocked mini-bar (not to mention slippers, etc.) All in one, an ok stay, but I would definitely chose a different hotel next time. "Nice but overpriced"
Hotel was nice, but more of a 3 star. Does not compare to other Loews properties. Far overpriced for this location. Location ok,near shops and restaurants. Also no valet or parking instructions, had to search for parking, ended up blocks away and had to lug our suitcases a few blocks back to the hotel. Room service was cold and the items described on […] menu appeared different and were missing items. Staff was nice and helpful for the most part, rooms were clean, but just not impressed overall. Other Loews locations set my expectations higher than what this location delivered. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Disappointed! So run down from the old "Jury" hotel which I loved. I like early coffee in the lobby and choices for food service. I understand they have plans for renovations this winter, they need new mattresses and a comfortable chair suitable for reading.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"a little rundown for the price"
Dim room with one lightbulb burned out. It took several hours to get an "engineer." The door man took careful written directions for a 5 person cab we needed for a distant location for an important seated wedding dinner, then never ordered the cab. Could have been a disaster b/c Boston was busy for the Head of the Charles and Red Sox post season game, […] but we snagged another vehicle and paid a lot to get him at the last minute. "Great hotel close to Copley Square."
Hotel is in 1922 Boston Police building. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great place.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is fine, but nothing special for the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location of the hotel made it easy to get all over Boston quickly. Room was very comfortable and linens were superior. The lighting in the room needed to allow for more flexibility regarding which lights were on.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable Hotel in the Heart of Boston"
This is a nice hotel in a very nice neighborhood of Boston. The room is spacious and clean. The staff is very polite and helpful. Although I enjoyed my stay there, I think that the price is a bit too high for what they are offering and they could improve their service.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Well located hotel"
I was under the impression that this was a five star hotel. Unfortunately, it isn't. It is a four star hotel. For the price we paid per night, it was not worth it. First of all, the rooms are tiny. The price does not include breakfast which is available a la carte daily and a buffet on Sunday. We ended up walking to the Marriott and having a great buffet […] breakfast for the same price as one entry a la carte. Seems at Loews you need to ask for the turn down service (which is free) or else they would not perform it. Of course, you are not asked if you would like it. You are supposed to know it. The first room they gave us was terrible. It was way in the back and we had trouble sleeping due to the noise coming from some club or something. The next day, after we complained to the Concierge, Heather (who is a darling and is extremely efficient), she had us moved to a better room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The location was great! we walked to the commonsm, also to the theater district. The nearby MTA station took us a short ride to visit the Museum of Fine Arts - also would have taken us a bit further to Fenway Park (next trip!). "Not what I expect from a Loews property"
It now makes sense that this hotel was at least $100+ cheaper than some of the other hotels in the 4-star class that I was looking into. Overall, it was fine but I expected more from a Loews hotel. I only realized that they recently bought this hotel from another company (used to be the Back Bay hotel). The sheets and towels were old and the room smelled […] like someone had once smoked in there. Check in was great. However, the concierge wasn't very knowledgeable and couldn't make any great brunch recommendations for us. Additionally, when you enter the hotel from the street level, the elevator sometimes had empty baggage carts that weren't removed by the bell hops which I thought was awkward. "Used Q-tips, impossible desk configuration"
Great location, very expensive for square footage. Variable cleanliness - there were used q-tips on bathroom sinktop when I arrived. Also, the room is extremely small - desk and desk chair are literally wedged next to bed, making it difficult to use desk at all. Very friendly front desk staff, nice bar/bar food downstairs. Too few elevators for size […] of hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel in the heart of the city"
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 year old while I was attending a conference for work. I also happen to be in my third trimester, so my husband was going to upgrade the room as a surprise. The did the upgrade for free and also left a bowl of fruit and some bottled water for me when I arrived, which was a very nice touch. Everyone was helpful […] and friendly. We had stayed here when it was the Back Bay Hotel, and I am glad to see that although the management has changed, the overall experience was the same. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The service was wonderful and trouble-free. There are however 2 issues that may prevent my return. The bed in room 932 was extrememly soft and broken down, and the water pressure in the shower was so low, it was difficult to rinse. I liked and used the Nespresso machine, the refrigerator, and the down pillows and duvet, and the HVAC worked well and […] quietly. Service was immpecable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nothing to write home about...."
Hotel itself was okay. Great location, and nice restaurant. The rooms were a bit on the snug side, and the shower lacked good water pressure. Should have paid an extra $50 to stay at the Liberty.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice, if you like fire truck sirens!"
Basically "down-graded" by the hotel to a handicap room. (Availability, I assume). Shower head was 6 inches shorter than my 5'10" body. Outside noise kept us up and there is a fire station nearby! Lots of sirens. Staff was friendly!Genuine Expedia guest review

Great location. Clean and quiet. Parking is pricey compared to other hotels. Overall a good experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I booked short notice for a funeral of a close family member for a 2 night stay coming in from NYC. Due to September 11th security and electrical issues trains were delayed 5 hours and other services were booked or cancel. I would arrive the following morning instead of check-in time. I called the hotel, the woman I spoke with informed me that they […] would cancel my first night and I should check in the next day. The worker then paused and said she spoke to her manager and that the reservation would be kept as is. I arrived the next day and wanted to check in and go directly to my destination since I was late due to train service. Only one person was working the check in. There was some issue with a phone reservation and I stood and waited for over 10 minutes to check in. If this were a lower end hotel I would have no issue with any of these interactions, however, the service level was not on par with the cost. I feel that the staff should be trained on all policies of the hotel and that leaving a customer standing at a front desk after their commute to the hotel should not be anyones policy. Although, I am aware of the sensitive nature of my visit may have enhanced my displeasure, I will not be staying at the Loews Boston again and will return to staying at the W or Nine Zero which have a correlation between cost and service that seems more fitting. "Not a family hotel as advertised"
I enjoyed the location of this hotel but it wasn't a resort at all. The website advertises that it's family friendly but they didnt have anything that was geared towards families. The rooms were clean but felt outdated. Overall I wouldn't stay again for leisure but for business in the city and to be close to shops and restaurants its a good option.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great stay, especially for pets!"
We had a lovely stay at Lowes. We brought our two dogs with us and everyone at the hotel was very accommodating. The pet amenities were lovely;small food bowl, waste bag dispenser, bone shaped dog tag, and a mat for the food bowls for each dog. Most of the pet hotels we've stayed in they loan you a bed and a food bowl but they don't give you anything […] to keep. The amenities were a really nice touch that I'm sure wins them lots of points. They also let you keep your dogs in the room unattended, which many hotels don't do. Our dogs are crate trained so we were very appreciative of that fact, considering pet sitters are expensive and leaving your pets in an unknown place with a stranger can be stressful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, a little small, but we were only there for one night. We didn't dine at the restaurant or visit the bar, but both looked very nice. The neighborhood was great, walking distance to a lot of sites. The staff is by far the best reason to stay here. They really go out of their way to make you feel cared for and like a valued customer. There was a bit of a billing mixup and we were charged twice for the pet stay fee but it was quickly resolved. Overall we were very happy with Loews. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good new hotel but"
.. It advertised to have slippers but there weren't any, even after we asked. Not all rooms have a tub, though the restroom isn't too bad in general. Location is about two blocks from Boylston St, not too far from Copley, though its in between T stopsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great Experience!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was my first visit to Boston.... I can't say nice enough things about this hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was a little small but very nice. If there are 2 people staying in the room you'd be triping over each other. However I'm sure that they have larger rooms then what I stayed in. But I loved it none the less! :-) I would […] definitely stay there again. Boston Baby Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location and staff with a Boston flavor"
Beautiful historic hotel, close to the Freedom Trail. We stayed in Boston, for 3 days, with our 17 year old. We were checking out some nearby Universities but wanted a hotel that was uniquely Boston. The Loews was the former Boston police headquarters. Although it has been redesigned and decorated with a modern flair, it somehow retains the look of […] its police headquarters origin. Pretty cool. The restaurant and bar is nice. We sat outside for drinks on a beautiful august night. The front desk and concierge is helpful and pleasant. The guys at the door were the best! So friendly, welcoming and knowledgable about their city! We got a standard,2 double bed room, for the three of us. The room was smaller then I would have liked, so I think I would see if larger ones were available. We loved the location, the staff and the whole atmosphere of this hotel! "Nice hotel in the Back Bay Area"
The hotel was very neat. We liked being able to walk to the Garden and Commons Areas. Great food near by. Having a refrigerator in the room was great. Would have liked a microwave though. "Great Customer Service"
were on a trip to visit colleges in Boston area. Nice hotel once the sticker shock of the room and parking fees wear off. Do want to commend the valet staff, particularly the manager who promptly resolved an issue involving grease or some other substance that had dripped on my windshield (during/after a rainstorm) in the parking garage and was resistant […] to a normal cleaning. No hassle and it was taken care of with a smile. Nice to experience good customer service. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent Location/Great Amenities"
The Loews Back Bay was the perfect choice for our first trip to Boston. The location on Stuart Street was ideal and was within walking distance to all of the sites and restaurants on our list, including Fenway Park. The lobby and facilities were exceptional with a nice mix of luxury and comfort. The beds were extremely comfortable and our bathroom was […] unusually large with separate tub and shower areas and lots of room for storing toiletries. We especially liked the outdoor seating area off of the lower level bar/lounge which was a nice place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The desk staff at the Loews were helpful but not as friendly as we have experienced elsewhere. We would highly recommend this hotel to others visiting Boston. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
