"DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! IT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!"
We stayed here for 5 full days. When we pulled up we thought we were being pranked. It smells absolutely terrible even in your room. We had dust bunnies hanging from Our vents and ceiling. When the woman came to clean they only had towels no cleaning products what so ever. The front desk is incredibly rude. The public bathrooms almost made me throw […] up. The cleanliness of this hotel is unbelievable I'm in complete shock they passed inspection this place was on another level. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not the ritz. You get what you pay for."
The hotel is exactly what you pay for. Nothing more, nothing less. The room was clean and not uncomfortable. The two minor irritations were the floors and the air conditioning in the rooms. The floors were all marble and could use a good mopping. The dust and debris would collect and end up on out feet. Wear flip flops. Also we could not control the […] AC so the room was freezing all the time. No big deal, we opened the window to regulate the temperature and were happy to come back to a cool room each afternoon. The tv was broken and kept skipping. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Location but not much else..."
Location really is great, can't be beat on South Beach. The place is very old and not well kept it is in desperate need of some renovations. Our room still had a box of condoms under the nightstand which means housekeeping does a mediocre job at best. Floors are tiled and dirty and the bathrooms aren't very much better. But you do get what you pay for […] and like I said location is the best you can get. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Only stay for the location"
The only thing good about this hotel was the location. I had 3 rooms and they overcharged me in 1. You have to leave 200 charged to ur card per room. The hot water didn't work in 1 room. The AC and toilet didnt work in the other room. This hotel sucks. Only stay for the location. Will never stay there again!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Do not stay"
You are really paying for location. The hotels overall was "literary" nasty, including some of the people that linger around the lobby area. The front desk attendants were extremely unattentive and lazy, except a nice young lady named Laura. I would never stay at this hotel ever again. I rather pay a little extra and stay somewhere else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The horrible Hotel"
When I checked in at the hotel, the room was dirty. I found a chicken bone in the dresser so I knew no one had cleaned. The curtains are dirty and so are the sheets. The door would not close all the way which brought gnats and other bugs flying around. After complaining, I must say the guy in the lobby did change our room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for partiers!"
I went with a best friend we are 24 . We had a great time AMAZING LOCATION nice staff could of been renovated and cleanierGenuine Expedia guest review
Upon check in hotel services ask how many people are staying in your room as if they don't have that information from when you book online. Then the lady states that no more than two people can stay in your room or a charge of 20$ per night plus tax would be charged to you. It was a lot of us that stayed in this hotel and we both got charged like people […] stayed in our rooms. I guess you can't go to each other rooms. Plus they have cameras as soon as you get off of the elevator and at the end of the hall. I assume this is how they would charge you. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

If you need a room and nothing more this is your place. No hot water, dirty floors, I was basically a bed in a room. Location is perfect but don't recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Your on ocean drive, what more can i say? Excellent location. The rooms aren't so bad. Well painted. Large comfortable bed. Nothing special. It was a clean room and clean bed. For the price, it was a Steal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is not awful, but it’s worn and dated. Many of the pretty blue awnings shown in the picture were in tatters, which doesn’t make a good first impression. They offer valet parking (there’s no DIY hotel parking area) and they only operate certain hours of the day, so there are times you just plain can’t get your car back which I found unsettling […] (if George Clooney had called, I guess I would’ve had to get a cab) The lobby has a basic café and a tourism business operates out of the corner, which is handy if you want to book an excursion. The elevator is the old style, with a door and then a gate and it’s hard to negotiate with a suitcase. The room itself was dark. There was a ceiling light that there was no switch for, so it just hung there unlit, mocking me. My bed was squeaky, but clean and comfortable. Again, the room was worn, with furnishings having seen better days – for example the lampshade had numerous holes in it – but it was clean. The front desk seemed really cramped for the poor person working there and it seemed like a lot of paperwork that needed to be filled out and processed vs. just having it all on the computer so check in and check out took a while. They did offer beach towels at no additional charge, which I thought was nice. There was a seafood restaurant downstairs off the sidewalk which had great food at a reasonable price (for Miami). I probably wouldn’t stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Amazing find in South Beach"
Great boutique hotel in the heart of South Beach located near everything you could possibly want. Room was nice and average size for South Beach. The little things like complimentary fruit upon arrival, chocolates each day on your pillows and complimentary Evian water each day made this place great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"IF ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS LOCATION"
The Hotel is very old and Outdated, There is an elevator but it doesnt work, luckily you only need to carry your Bags up one flight of stairs. The Rooms were freezing cold at night and made it impossible to sleep. There is no dial to control your room temperature but if you try to close the vent the only thing you hear is a loud whistle from the vent […] that makes it even harder to sleep. Bathrooms are ok. Beds are not comfortable and the sheets are itchy. No Luxury here. Only good thing is the Location. It's right on the corner of ocean drive and the beach is right across the street. If all you need is a Bed, Shower and Toilet then this is the place for you due to the cheap price. I was very unhappy with my overall stay and will not stay here again. "Spring Breaker's Paradise"
The lobby and elevator were old, but our room was upgraded recently and looked nice. We never had hot water, lukewarm water at best. "Great Location on South Beach"
Hotel was very convenient for going out in South Beach! It was a little loud given its proximity to clubs/restaurants but worth the trade-off of being able to walk around at night (no need for taxi). The amenities of the hotel are limited, specifically, no workout center; however, there is a gym (Equinox) 1 block away that will give you a free 3-day […] consecutive gym pass with any $100 purchase - either at their store (gym clothes, accessories, etc) or massage (I recommend the massage!) :) Hotel is also located on ocean drive; therefore, it is a very short walk to the beach (just across the street) as well as great shopping on Collins Drive. Finally, hotel has a limited free continental breakfast (toast, bagels) but also has a fairly affordable breakfast menu. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location...okay hotel"
This was my first trip to South Beach as well as my wife's first trip there. If you want to be on Ocean Drive for not a lot of money and on the quieter end of Ocean Drive, this is your place. While the hotel was not very nice and not very well maintained, the room was clean and quiet (we were on the city side not the ocean side). The daily maid service […] was excellent but the various individuals that were at the front desk were less than helpful. I guess the best way to sum up what this hotel was for my wife and I is by stating that is was a nice place to sleep at night. Nothing more, nothing less. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms were smaller than portrayed on website but still big enough. The vanity area was outside the shower and toilet which was a plus. No thermostat in rooms so unable to control your own Ac and the rooms were freezing, when it was only 60 degrees out. No elevator so we had to carry our luggage up 2.5 flights of stairs. "Affordable place to stay!!"
Actually, the size of the room is much better than I expected. However the room tempture is way too low, there is no control in temperature. (I guess if we were there during summer, it should be okay) The front desk is SUPER helpful and SUPER friendly!! The cleaning lady was not as nice and really didnt want to help, all she said is call the front desk […] anything we need (including toilet paper). The mop the cleaning lady use for the hallway was really bad, it made the hallway smell like sweat (disgusting) Their elevator is an antique, very small yet it's automatic. That was our favorite thing in the hotel. Highly recommend to take the elevator. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Just OK, would stay elsewhere on Miami Beach."
We wanted a cheaper hotel to stay a day prior to leaving on a cruise - found this online; looked decent from the pics - well, the rooms were very small, our toilet was clogged at one point, and honestly it didn't look like the pics of the hotel. Convenient location, but we would not stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"close to everything in south beach"
I had really low expectations base on the reviews, but I was actually pleasantly surprise, pretty, spacious, a little old but close to everything, and the staff were ok, nothing great, nothing bad, if you want a close to everything stay, and not a horrible place, and the price for south beach was good, I would recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is a serious dump. We came for a night before our cruise because we wanted a place on the beach at a reasonable cost. Big mistake. Our luck had it that we would arrive on the coldest day of the year of below 50 degrees at night. No heat and thin blankets makes for a miserable stay. The locks on the door weren't trustworthy. The elevator is […] about to break. The shower was stained black with dirt...oh and there is only half of a shower door so good luck staying warm in there. The only plus was location. In the morning there was a movie being filmed right in front so that was cool but we would never stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay in the back rooms of Hotel"
Beds were very noisy. If you stay in the ocean view rooms it is very loud with the sounds coming from Ocean Drive. Lots of music and people until the bars close at 3am. You will not get any sleep. Stay in the back of the Hotel. You are right where all the actions is though. The broad walk along the ocean is very nice and lots of places to work out at […] right on the beach front. Older hotel so don't expect it to be like the new ones. Love the old style elevator. Great location to shopping, eating and across the street from the beach! On the beach, chair rentals about $10 well worth it for the whole day. Great staff!!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"mediocre service, but nicely appointed rooms"
The rooms were nice, and the ancient elevator was surprisingly fast. The service of the hotel was not good at all. Upon arrival with 7 of my friends at 10:30 am, we waited at the front desk for 20 minutes and still no one showed up. I then called the hotel from my phone while waiting, and finally someone cam running from an unknown location to realize […] we were waiting there. I thought it was wonderful to stay here. Excellent location, close to bus stop to take me to medical center area, the Art Deco Weekend was happening when I was there and I was in the center of it all. One staff member was a bit off putting at first, but he was […] super nice once I asked questions and he was engaged (could be helpful). I did not enjoy my stay at the Beach Paradise Hotel for the following reasons: 1) there was no way to control the temperature in the room other than a broken vent near the ceiling. When I asked about it at the front desk, I was told they were not allowed to install individual units in the room due to the hotel's landmark status. Thus, on the first night […] of my stay in the room I spent much of it sitting directly under the vent, which slightly whistled because it was broken, to keep from sweating. The second night was too cold, and since the vent was broken, I could not keep the air from blowing in. 2) I paid extra for an ocean view via Hotels.com. My view was looking over an alley with only a glimpse of the ocean, which could only be seen if I stuck my face to the window. 3) It was way too noisy. I literally had to wear the ear plugs from an air boat ride the day before to get to sleep. 4) I found someone else's long hair on the bathroom floor. 5) I had a rental and did not realize I would be required to pay a hefty daily fee to have it parked valet. The beds were clean but the floors & furniture could've used more attention. The common areas definitely need to be cleaned &/or refaced. I stayed for 2 nights after spending a week in the Keys & hardly slept @ all because the walls, doors & windows were extremely thin and/or poorly fitted. I could hear every footstep, voice & other noises both outside […] of my room as well as outside the hotel on the streets & sidewalks. Last but not least: please let customers know that they have alternatives for parking. I arrived around 10pm & didn't know the area at all, was charged $30 for valet parking & when I met the valet, he told me he was getting ready to leave so just park it myself & showed me where to park it. The next day, I discovered that a city run garage was 3 blocks away & only $20/day... a $20 savings had I known that the 1st night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I called ahead to find out about parking as I am local and was staying there to avoid DUI after company party at Nikki Beach. $32.15 per day!!!!!! WOW I asked where they park the car, they said "right behind the hotel" the next day when I was leaving, he went to get my car, it took him 20 minutes to leave in a car with his "co-worker" and return with […] mine and I had just detailed my car the previous day and the tires had white chalk all around them like he went down a gravel road or field to park. When we got in our room the floor was shaking. We were on the third floor and the whole floor was actually shaking from the A/C unit for the entire floor. Since we were facing the beach, we opened the window to discover the window had aluminum tape from top to bottom on a very cracked window. NICE, the remote control was not for the TV we had. There was shampoo but no conditioner. The floor was dirty and gritty. The walls, door, and window was so thin we could hear EVERYTHING!! Like they were yelling right at the door. Thank god we came home drunk. Sleep came easy. The next morning when the valet finally brought my car back we were having breakfast right in front of the valet stand and my car and the valet is leaning on my car like he was scratching his back on a tree. My advice is spend a little extra and avoid this place like the plague. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The location is great and it had two beds (which seems to be hard to find in the area), but that's about all the positive that can be said for this hotel. It's very rundown, the lobby doubles as a deli, and the staff was not very friendly. They required a deposit hold on my credit card which was more than I had paid for the room. Valet parking was available, […] which was fine for checking in at night but apparently an 8:30am checkout is too early for the valet to bring you your car.
