Although the location and rooms were great for the price... The additional 30 dollars a day was very steep when all day parking a block away was only ten bucks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fine, nothing out of the ordinary"
Everything about the Hilton CBD is ordinary. Nothing great, nothing bad. It is clean, updated, provides the expected amenities/toiletries. Location is good. On the pricey side for a no-frills/no thrills hotel. Only valet parking available for $30, you can find cheaper right across the street. Front desk staff are nothing to rave about. Courteous and […] professional but not engaged with guests. When I asked front desk for recommendations for restaurants that are visited by locals, I was given a 10% coupon to Oceana Grill, which is mostly for tourists and food is mediocre in taste by heavy on the wallet. Upside is there are no bad surprises such as dirty rooms, noisy street, etc. Downside is it lacks any New Orleans character. It's your cookie-cutter hotel that you pay a lot for. Stay was nice, but for the price you would think you would get a complimentary breakfast. And I didnt know i would be charge $50 extra in case i charge anything to my room and that $50 end up going toward valet parking!Genuine Expedia guest review

"1st NOLA visit"
Hotel was easy walking distance to all attractions in the French Quarter & the street cars. Nice comfortable rooms. Check-in was quick and efficient. "Great stay for a weekend getaway!"
Had a girls trip with a couple of girlfriends! First time in NOLA. We stayed in the same room. We had 2 queen beds and the room was spacious and we still had room for our many bags of purchases. The staff was helpful as well and the location is in walking distance of a lot of activities in the area! I would stay there again!Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed for one night during the Essence Festival. Clean, spacious queen sz room since it was an old office building...could probably sleep 6 ppl but against policy. My only gripe is that it needed more earth tones to lighten the mood. If you don't mind a brief walk, a parking garage is down the street for $15 for 24hrs instead of the 28 + tax...$31 […] per night at the hotel. Good location, in walking distance of canal st and bourbon. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect distance to French Quarter"
We spent 6-nights here and were very pleased with the hotel and staff. The room was comfortable, large enough for our needs, and very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel restaurant had good food as well. The on-site parking was convenient and we never had to wait more than a couple minutes if we called ahead for our […] car. The rooftop pool, while small, offered a great view of the city from above. Being a couple blocks form the French Quarter on a side street, the hotel offered a comfortable and quiet place to come relax after busy days, but was close enough to walk easily, and only a block away from the streetcar. The price was also competitive with all other hotels in the area - it was actually the cheapest one near the Quarter when we booked it, the only cheaper ones were way out by the airport. "Not sure how I feel about this stay"
The hotel is really nice and the lobby and check - in area is really clean. The hotel is literally a block away from Bourbon St. The only thing or things that I disliked about the hotel is that house keeping was pretty much non existing. We had to call for clean wash cloths, towels, toilet paper and if it wasn't for us running into someone from house […] keeping we probably would have called to get our trash bins emptied. Another thing that I did not like is that there are no vending machines, you have to get things from the hotel pantry which are HIGHLY overpriced. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I think the location is very convenience to the surrounding. I didn't have to bring my car to my destination.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Ok for the price we paid, nothing special, but there are so many other similar hotels with breakfast included unlike this one. Starbucks is 2 blocks away. Don't use hotel $28 parking valet and park on the street with meters, if needed -free after 6pm. Surrounding ramps are also cheaper and plenty. Coffee and lemonade in the lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location and room bed a little hard and service a little slow otherwise awesome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved the Hilton Garden Inn French Qtrs! Loved the rooftop pool! Wish it stayed open 24 hours! Very secure. Loved every minute of it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great place to stay. Rooms very clean and the service was great. Centrally located to bourbon street not too far from the warehouse and garden distrct. Would definitely stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great room just steps from the French Quarter"
This was a large room with a great bathroom. The water pressure could have been a little better, but that was the only thing I would suggest as an improvement. The beds and bedding were comfortable and the TV was great for the times we were in the room (which wasn't often!). A couple of times we requested things like extra coffee cups and K-cups for […] the coffee maker and they were promptly delivered. It was great to be so close to shopping on Canal, tons of restaurants, the streetcars, Harrah's, and Bourbon Street. The valet service and front desk staff were terrific. For the price, we could not have found a nicer hotel in a better location. Would definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Location for Mardi Gras"
We head down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras every years as I am in a krewe. We are always looking for a great hotel, and I think we might have found the one! It's only two blocks from the parade route, and the hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. The hotel was quiet, clean, and the rooms were lovely. "Mardi Gras Yearly Trip."
Everything was OUTSTANDING, with one exception. The Beds in the room were extremely firm, if not hard. It did make it difficult to get a good nights rest. "Great hotel for the price"
I would stay here again. Very comfortable, clean and an attentive staff. I would suggest the hotel management arrange to place some form of an extended concealment or draft blocker to cover the 1/4 inch open space at the base of the guest room doors. Covering this opening space will provide for better guest privacy and safety.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Bourbon Street..."
Hotel was clean, nice and a good deal for the price. Right around the block from Bourbon St and close to the Trolleys. Parking was a little pricey and not well organized. Our car was never ready. We did have a problem with noise in the room next to us but it was handled quickly and professionally. I would reccomend this hotel overall.Genuine Expedia guest review
it had a great location in relation to Bourbon st being only 2 blocks away and the staff was very cool and friendly, however the quality of facility to fair-to-low grade....Genuine Expedia guest review
No fridge in room, they offered but too late to bother, pool at the Hilton St Charles down the st. , not handy...... great bellmenGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We visited Christmas week while on vacation. Price was exceptional, location was within a few blocks of most things. The staff was absolutely wonderful...courteous, helpful, friendly and extremely cheerful. That said, this is not necessarily what you think of when you think Hilton.....they clearly acquired a lesser facility. Lobby is on 11th floor....very […] strange. This means that you enter on the ground floor via the parking garage where waiting for a cab in frigid temperatures did not impress! Room was very clean, acceptable, but bed was a horror story.....very, very firm mattress and linens clearly meant for a double but we were in a queen!!! To be fair, we did not trouble the staff to remake the bed but doubt they could have made it any better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hilton Garden Inn NOFQ"
Our overall experience with the Hilton Garden Inn was good. The downsides were the sheets were itchy and the valet parking. We booked the room not knowing there would be a $28/night charge on top of the room fee. The price wasn't bad compared to other local parking lots in the area. I just wish I would have been aware of it before going.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in a great location."
We loved the location of the Hilton Garden Inn - close to everything but not in the middle of Bourbon St. madness. One issue we had was that our room was across the hall from the hotel staff closet where housekeeping, etc. kept their equipment. They were very loud at all times of the day and night while preparing to clean rooms. This kept us awake and/or […] woke us up on multiple occasions. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"O'k Hotel Inn"
Good location, but it is not French Quarter, it is couple of blocks from French Quarter. Strange entrance to the hotel lobby - 11 floor. It is not Hilton hotel, it is Comfortable Inn. Breakfast is O'k, but a little expensive for this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"bad front desk/maid service communcation"
The front desk approved a late check out but did not document or communicate it properly. While sleeping, twice the maid service came to the room and attempted to open the door when they didn't hear a response. More annoying were the both times (9am & 10:45am) they came by the room were prior to the normal check out time of 11am.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, great service, but hidden charges"
Nice hotel located just 2 blocks from Canal street, directly across the French quarter. Hotel itself was quite nice. Room was comfortable and clean and the public areas were bright and modern. Free coffee, tea or lemonade and baked munchies available near the front desk all the time. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, as well as knowledgeable. […] Fitness center, pool and 2 laundry rooms at a good price. Everything was enjoyable here. The only complaint I have is on the hidden fees and such. Example, there is a safe in your room, however you are charged $3 per day for the use of the safe. I have never, ever, no matter if it was a chain hotel or a small boutique hotel, been charged to use the safe. So I must say that irritated me. Also, I'm a Hilton honors member, and I was surprised and disappointed to hear that I could not apply my stay to my honors account because I booked through expedia. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Hilton Garden Inn was just okay. I will break this up into pros and cons. Pros: Location is excellent. Just a short walk to the French Quarter on a quiet street. Large rooms with amentities such as a Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, and flat screen television. Cons: Thin walls, you can hear your neighbors and you can hear people in the hallway. […] Had a big problem with housekeeping. They would knock on your door at like 8:30 in the morning, imo, way too early for this kind of a party city. Anyway, one day because I did not want to get up before 9am, I put the "Do Not Disturb" tag on the front of the door. When we left the room at 11:45am (still morning) I found this card shoved under the door stating to call the front desk if we wanted the room cleaned. I removed the Do Not Disturb tag thinking they would just clean the room anyway because it was still early. We get back to the room at 2:30 and room was not cleaned. I called the front desk staff and meanwhile, the card stated the room could be cleaned up until 4:00. Called the front desk who advised the room would be cleaned. We go back out and when we get home from the evening, not only was the room not cleaned but we had no clean towels or toilet paper. I had to call the front desk and they were able to bring towels but it was a hassle. I was really bothered by this. This is New Orleans with 7x24 partying and entertainment, not a place that is screaming early to rise. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in a quieter area"
We enjoy Hilton Hotels so often stay there. The location was in a good area. The room was clean. The cleaning lady did come by 2 mornings and just completely opened the door which woke us up at 8:30 am- both times. It got us started earlier but we didn't have a 'do not disturb' sign anywhere in our room. The "early bird door opener cleaning lady" was […] the only complaint I had. We also parked half a block away in the self parking for half the price of the the 'valet only' parking the hotel has and that saved us a lot. The staff had good recommendations for restaurants and tours and areas to avoid. Overall, we will probably stay there again when we go back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wish I stayed somewhere else."
This was my first time in New Orleans and I made the mistake of staying at this hotel. First, aesthetically, the hote is unappealing from the curb. Second, I arrived at 10:30 pm and room service was unavailable. Third, I was not sure I slept on an actual coil mattress. I believe it was some type of foam mattress with layers of padding over it to make […] it appear to be a pillow top. Fourth, the next morning I went to make up the bed (I prefer a neat bed as I get dressed) and found some sort of bug squashed with some brown stuff on the layers of padding. Fifth, I switched rooms and the new bed was more lopsided than the bed with the bug in it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"The location, hotel and staff were great."
We were very pleased with our last minute decision to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. We had been looking and agonizing over where the best place to stay would be with the added expense of parking, and then knowing which place in the French Quarter wouldn't be run down, noisy and smelly. We got a good rate. It was in comfortable walking distance […] to the French Quarter and very close to all streetcar lines. Location was great. We did have to pay for valet parking, but it all came out in the wash, because the prices were even higher in the Quarter. This hotel was newly renovated and everything seemed clean, updated, and contemporary. We preferred to come back to a safe, quiet and clean hotel after a night in the French Quarter. They were very accommodating as some of the requests we had made for the location of our room was not received by the front desk. Upon checking in, they were able to relocate our room with a window, a view and on a higher floor as requested, with no problem. Checking in early probably helped. When they found out it was our anniversary get away, the concierge was very kind, delivered us a bottle of wine with a very nice note from the Hotel. and gave us restaurant suggestions. The next day, another concierge spent quite some time showing us places of interest on the map, explaining the street car lines and giving us directions. Our room had two queen beds, refrigerator and microwave.. Beds were too firm but the number of pillows was great Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This was my first time to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn but not my first stay in NOLA. I was really excited about their location which is just blocks away from Canal Street and the French Quarter. The hotel valets were very nice and helpful about getting around in the Quarter. The valet parking was a little pricey in my opinion but they were very careful […] with my vehicle and it didn't appear to have been upset in anyway. The room was extremely comfortable with large soft beds and plenty of room. All the necessary small appliances were available along with wifi connection for convenience. I will definitely stay again.
