"O'k Hotel Inn"
Good location, but it is not French Quarter, it is couple of blocks from French Quarter. Strange entrance to the hotel lobby - 11 floor. It is not Hilton hotel, it is Comfortable Inn. Breakfast is O'k, but a little expensive for this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"bad front desk/maid service communcation"
The front desk approved a late check out but did not document or communicate it properly. While sleeping, twice the maid service came to the room and attempted to open the door when they didn't hear a response. More annoying were the both times (9am & 10:45am) they came by the room were prior to the normal check out time of 11am.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, great service, but hidden charges"
Nice hotel located just 2 blocks from Canal street, directly across the French quarter. Hotel itself was quite nice. Room was comfortable and clean and the public areas were bright and modern. Free coffee, tea or lemonade and baked munchies available near the front desk all the time. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, as well as knowledgeable. […] Fitness center, pool and 2 laundry rooms at a good price. Everything was enjoyable here. The only complaint I have is on the hidden fees and such. Example, there is a safe in your room, however you are charged $3 per day for the use of the safe. I have never, ever, no matter if it was a chain hotel or a small boutique hotel, been charged to use the safe. So I must say that irritated me. Also, I'm a Hilton honors member, and I was surprised and disappointed to hear that I could not apply my stay to my honors account because I booked through expedia. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Hilton Garden Inn was just okay. I will break this up into pros and cons. Pros: Location is excellent. Just a short walk to the French Quarter on a quiet street. Large rooms with amentities such as a Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, and flat screen television. Cons: Thin walls, you can hear your neighbors and you can hear people in the hallway. […] Had a big problem with housekeeping. They would knock on your door at like 8:30 in the morning, imo, way too early for this kind of a party city. Anyway, one day because I did not want to get up before 9am, I put the "Do Not Disturb" tag on the front of the door. When we left the room at 11:45am (still morning) I found this card shoved under the door stating to call the front desk if we wanted the room cleaned. I removed the Do Not Disturb tag thinking they would just clean the room anyway because it was still early. We get back to the room at 2:30 and room was not cleaned. I called the front desk staff and meanwhile, the card stated the room could be cleaned up until 4:00. Called the front desk who advised the room would be cleaned. We go back out and when we get home from the evening, not only was the room not cleaned but we had no clean towels or toilet paper. I had to call the front desk and they were able to bring towels but it was a hassle. I was really bothered by this. This is New Orleans with 7x24 partying and entertainment, not a place that is screaming early to rise. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in a quieter area"
We enjoy Hilton Hotels so often stay there. The location was in a good area. The room was clean. The cleaning lady did come by 2 mornings and just completely opened the door which woke us up at 8:30 am- both times. It got us started earlier but we didn't have a 'do not disturb' sign anywhere in our room. The "early bird door opener cleaning lady" was […] the only complaint I had. We also parked half a block away in the self parking for half the price of the the 'valet only' parking the hotel has and that saved us a lot. The staff had good recommendations for restaurants and tours and areas to avoid. Overall, we will probably stay there again when we go back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wish I stayed somewhere else."
This was my first time in New Orleans and I made the mistake of staying at this hotel. First, aesthetically, the hote is unappealing from the curb. Second, I arrived at 10:30 pm and room service was unavailable. Third, I was not sure I slept on an actual coil mattress. I believe it was some type of foam mattress with layers of padding over it to make […] it appear to be a pillow top. Fourth, the next morning I went to make up the bed (I prefer a neat bed as I get dressed) and found some sort of bug squashed with some brown stuff on the layers of padding. Fifth, I switched rooms and the new bed was more lopsided than the bed with the bug in it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very goodGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The location, hotel and staff were great."
We were very pleased with our last minute decision to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. We had been looking and agonizing over where the best place to stay would be with the added expense of parking, and then knowing which place in the French Quarter wouldn't be run down, noisy and smelly. We got a good rate. It was in comfortable walking distance […] to the French Quarter and very close to all streetcar lines. Location was great. We did have to pay for valet parking, but it all came out in the wash, because the prices were even higher in the Quarter. This hotel was newly renovated and everything seemed clean, updated, and contemporary. We preferred to come back to a safe, quiet and clean hotel after a night in the French Quarter. They were very accommodating as some of the requests we had made for the location of our room was not received by the front desk. Upon checking in, they were able to relocate our room with a window, a view and on a higher floor as requested, with no problem. Checking in early probably helped. When they found out it was our anniversary get away, the concierge was very kind, delivered us a bottle of wine with a very nice note from the Hotel. and gave us restaurant suggestions. The next day, another concierge spent quite some time showing us places of interest on the map, explaining the street car lines and giving us directions. Our room had two queen beds, refrigerator and microwave.. Beds were too firm but the number of pillows was great Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in a good location and clean. Not far from French Quarter and good places to eat.We will stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was my first time to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn but not my first stay in NOLA. I was really excited about their location which is just blocks away from Canal Street and the French Quarter. The hotel valets were very nice and helpful about getting around in the Quarter. The valet parking was a little pricey in my opinion but they were very careful […] with my vehicle and it didn't appear to have been upset in anyway. The room was extremely comfortable with large soft beds and plenty of room. All the necessary small appliances were available along with wifi connection for convenience. I will definitely stay again. "Good hotel (watch the parking)"
Hotel was good. Great central location for casinos and bourbon street. Parking deck was $32 a day so watch that "surprise" when you get there. that was about the only negative. Rooftop pool was nice, but pretty small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the French Quarter"
This Hilton Garden Inn French Quarter is an excellent travelers place. Close to Bourbon Street and the business area of New Orleans. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The hotel and parking are reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. When in New Orleans I will return to this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Half and Half"
I was concerned about getting a good hotel during our staying NOrleans, but I thougt the Price isnt low, the name tell me a lot. Our arrival was easy, the staff helped us very quick i getting our room, but the A/C systems are very noisy, the temp. doesnt mantain so the A/C is turning on and off a lot, lot of times during your sleep, ts ok uf your are […] a heavy sleeper. Then the A/C fans were like loose and hitting the metals I dont know what was it. And the first night that we stayed the staff didnt clean the room. At the last day of our staying I got a check from the valet parking surprise it is not included, come on I left my car there cause didnt want to be paying in other parking lots. You are a Hotel and if you dont have a Parking Lot you should tell. Not just charge it and it done. Almost 100 bucks for 3 nights. I mean 160 buckroom and you dont have a parking lot, we should go to the days inn, the La Quinta Inn, they have parking lots, the rooms were almost the same, and the breakfast was the same that in other hotels that are cheaper. "Good location, comphy beds, park cheap across str"
Good location, we walked everywhere from here. (Wasn't too noisy outside). Beds were comfortable! Caddy-corner, and across the street is a parking garage for $15 for 24h. Cheaper than the hotel parking and hardly even a walk away. VERY clean!Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK hotel close to the French Quarter"
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel prior to this stay. Our room for this visit was rather spartan and there was an unpleasant odor in the halls... Parking was very expensive and there was not a complimentary breakfast. This visit gets 5 onions out of 10 onions.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Wonderful Staff and Hotel"
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was beyond nice and accomodating. The room was clean, big, and the bed was super comfortable. It is super close to Bourbon St but since it's on the other side of Canal you don't hear all the noise and can get some sleep. I can't wait to go back and stay at this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good location. Close to Bourbon and Casino."
Good location to restaurants also. The staff was nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights for a fun visit to New Orleans. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a couple of blocks (stumbling distance..) from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. We had very easy access to the center of all the fun, but it was far enough away where it was quiet in the area at night. The hotel was […] wonderful. Clean and well-appointed rooms, friendly attentive staff, and the room had all the amenities we were wanting. Valet parking was the only option, but it's the same as all of the other hotels in the French Quarter area. We were able to check in early, so we didn't have to worry about checking our bags in and coming back when the room was ready. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and had a lot of options. The wait staff was a lot of fun too. Every member of the staff that we talked to was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The elevators had controlled entrances to the guest floors - you had to have a guestroom key in order for the elevator to stop on your floor. The only floor you could get into without a guest key was the lobby floor. We felt very safe here. We'll definitely stay here on our next visit to New Orleans! "Nice stay for a couple of days"
The hotel itself was very nice. We were a little disappointed there was no nice dining in the hotel. It was raining and we were more than hungry. We did find a nice little place right across the street which we enjoyed - Isis was the name. Hotel is close to the French Quarter but still a good walk; especially late at night. I think we'll plan to stay […] right in the Quarter next time. The only real down side was there was no exhaust vent in the bathroom so it was very warm and humid after a shower. The concierge was very helpful with suggesting nice eateries one evening for us. Pool on the roof was a great idea but was too small and very crowded each time we went up. "Hilton Garden New Orleans"
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was only 3 blocks from the French Quarter. There are many resturants to eat on the way and two drug stores and a mom and pop grocery for items you may need or forgot. It is in a safe part of town also.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful location. Hotel very clean and staff very friendly. Will stay here each visit!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was a bit disappointed in this hotel for the price. First off, I selected a KING size when booking and was given a Queen instead. We thought about checking with the front desk to see if we could move - but we had a long day of driving and had already been given the keys and told the wrong room number once so we were tired and decided to leave it as […] is. Plus we were only there for two nights. Then we noticed that the bed was the hardest bed I've ever felt in my life. I know that some people prefer firmer beds than others - and I know nothing is as good as our own bed at home, but this was ridiculous. I don't know if ALL of their beds are like the one we had, but I don't want to find out. We didn't get a good nights sleep while we were there due to this issue. The staff was great - don't get me wrong and maybe they would've been nice enought to move us had we asked, but I really don't think you should have to - especially after spending this amount of money. I had already had to go back downstairs once for the room key issue and had a long day of driving - the last thing I should have to do is ask to be moved to the proper size bed and one that is comfortable. "Not up to Hilton standards!"
This hotel is decent but nothing special. First, when we arrived we were told that parking was $27 a night! We must have missed this when we booked! Since we were staying 3 days we would've paid almost $90 just for our car to stay the weekend? Anyway, we found a garage down the rode a 3 minute walk from the hotel and it's $15 a night! Secondly, the […] air didn't work properly in our room. Thirdly, it's poorly lit, creeped me out a bit! Lastly, as I am a smoker I was shocked to see that besides the pool on the 18th floor there was no designated smoking area. Had to travel to ground floor and step out front to smoke when the pool was closed and there was no ashtray! I don't like to litter and I don't see why they would want cigarette butts in front of there hotel! I wasn't the only person doing this as there was a pile of butts! I also have to say that after staying at the nicest Comfort Suites I've ever stayed at,for 2 days before coming to New Orleans I would recommend you find somewhere else to stay! I seen excellent reviews for this hotel and I didn't see what they hype was about! If I could say one good thing it would be that the walk to Bourbon St. was short! The hotel was disappointing, not bad but certainly not Hilton caliber. It was very plan; the mattresses were hard; the beds were not plush; the room was no better than a much cheaper hotel, and it had a motel smell.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The rooms a a bit old but the service is excellent. We were very happy to saty there and will go back again.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff was very nice and knowledgable. The lobby was clean and classy, yet our room felt a bit dirty. We also had a non-smoking room, but had an overwhelming smoke scent. We were in town for 5 nights for a mini-vacation and wedding, and found ourselves wishing we had booked the hotels reccomended by the wedding party. When we return we will likely […] pay the little extra for the Westin or comparable. If you don't mind the unclean feeling, it was a good deal and in a great spot in the Quarter. Stay in New Orleans at the Hilton was a super place for a girls getaway. Making our stay the best possible was because of the knowledge and helpfulness of King and Tim.
