Overall, a great little place to stay.
Nice place near tourist sights with easy access to Acropolis, 20-minute walk to museums, etc. Comfortable, with decent breakfast and rooftop patio (not a garden). Hotel could use faster internet, but connection was good, just slow. No shower curtain, just a 24-inch glass pane at the front of the tub. Water all over the floor created slipping hazard. I mentioned to the staff who said they would fix it. Staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful with excellent information, maps, etc. Good restaurants nearby. Immediate neighborhood seems dodgy, but it is fine. Just lots of graffiti makes it look bad, but that's all over Athens. Neighborhood is fine.

Nice place in perfect location
Arion Hotel is right in the middle of the most fun neighborhood on the edge of Monastaraki and Psirri. Good breakfast, nice rooms. I have a few quibbles. It is billed as a nonsmoking hotel but employees were smoking in the kitchen (I think) so if you are sensitive about this be sure to ask. If you care about tv, there are oddly no news stations or anything else in English. I don't care about tv but some may. I would go back.

A weekend in Athens.
Spend three days in Athens to see the sights. This hotel was in walking distance from so much; if you want to walk you can or you can hop on the metro, which is just down the street. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was good. Also they had a very nice terrace on the 7th floor that overlooks the city.

The coolest place to stay!
The front desk person was very accommodating and when ask where to get coffee he highly recommend this place on Athena Blvd just a block away called Ev Agnva's and the guy that owns it is Cristos.....very nice guy!! THE COFFEE WAS AMAZING!!!! Back to the hotel..pulling into the area at 5 am and seeing all the graffiti was a bit intimidating and we were very worried about what we got our self into, but I have to say it was just the coolest place to stay in Athens..we loved it!
