PROS: Great location - right next to Harrah's and located in the business district at the foot of the French Quarter, good value for the price, great service, clean, flat screen TV, Fridge & Safe in room, free breakfast, comfortable bed, old building charm, convenience store and great breakfast/luch eatery next door, smoking and non-smoking rooms available, […] pet friendly, great view of the riverfront from higher floors. CONS: some rooms have no windows and lower floors look out at a brick wall, room is small but adequate, high parking fee, not all TV channels worked in one of our rooms. OVERALL: A great stay which exceeded my expectations. Renada at the front desk was extremely friendly and let us check in almost 2 hours early and gave us higher floors with a view on request. Arnold helped us load in and valet parked our car. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a 5-star resort, but certainly a good value for the price and has all the basics well covered. Read more

I had notice this hotel at time of recent stay in New Orleans. The room was charming (2 double beds) with old brick interior walls. Shower water pressure was the best I have ever experienced in a hotel. The breakfast area was very well-stocked - boiled eggs, bagels, toasts, danishes, oatmeal, pancakes, cereal, cheese sticks, multiple tea varieties, […] juice, great coffee and very pleasant women who keep this stocked and clean during the morning. Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in April 2014. Overall it was aan OK experince - our room was small but nice, had good bed sheets (no ugly itchy bed covers!), and very comfortable pillows. It's extremely well located, just a block from Canal St and the French Quarter (so it's less noisy, but still very close to all the excitement). Not sure if it is because this is a busy time for them as the city gets thousands of visitors for the New Orleans Jazz Fest, but we would come back to a room where the bed was made but the trash cans were not emptied, no new soap was put in the bathroom, no new coffee supplies by the coffee machine. Great location. Room was a bit small, only 1 chair. But ok because you are not in the room that much. No traffic noise whatsoever. Our 2nd stay and would definitely be back. $28.00 valet parking is still a bargain compared to what we saw when walking around.

We could've not chosen a better hotel. The location is perfect. It is right in the heart of everything New Orleans. A five minute walk gets you to the French Quarter as well as to downtown and the museums. The staff is friendly and represent the best of the city. Maintenance barged into our room without knocking. No one at the front desk seemed to care, and when I asked for the manager on three occasions, she was no where to be found. Absolutely no apologies were offered. Be sure to lock your door!!! Unsafe hotel!

Hotel is in an excellent location to go walking around NOLA, practically across the street from the French Quarter. Staff were all super nice and helpful. Breakfast is sufficient. WIFI worked well. We would definitely stay here again!

I was scheduled to stay at the Sheraton for a conference but canceled that reservation because the rates at the Best Western Plus were more reasonable. At first I was leery of staying at a different hotel and I was concerned because all the staff was relatively young. My fears were unfounded! Everyone I came in contact with was very professional and […] went out of their way to provide exceptional customer service. I was even allowed to check in early with no fuss. I'm a stickler for cleanliness to the point that I re-clean all the hard surfaces in my room and pull back the sheets to look at the mattress. Everything was very, very clean. No dirt was on my rag that I used to re-wash the bathroom floor. The breakfast area was neat and well stocked. If I every travel to NOLA again, I will definitely stay at this hotel. My stay was good, close to the French Quarters. A bit pricey for a room at Best Western not being in the quarters. They had a sign advertising drinks buy one get second half off but, there was no bar tender available the first night. Could probably find rooms same price at Hilton.

Hotel wanted us out of room before run was finished. They would not extend check out, even tho' they weren't full. Everything was Great! The wedding we attended was only 10 mins away from the hotel, nights of fun was only about 2 blocks away, everything was great. Staff at the hotel was really nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our weekend!
