"hotel was ok. close to bourbon St"
if you booking this hotel after a cruise check in is at 4. We arrived at 10 am and left our luggage and went sight seeing. we returned after 3 pm and rooms still werent ready. room was clean but one light didn't work and fridge wasn't working. Staff were pleasant.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel close to convention center"
The hotel was close to the convention center and French quarters. It is an easy walk to these locations. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast options were good.Genuine Expedia guest review

Good thing is you are right next to ruby slipper Won't stay there againGenuine Expedia guest review
"Do not go by the pictures"
Pictures do lie and the actual room is nothing like what it shows in web-pictures. The so called room with a view is room overlooking a back alley. The room is noisy, dimly lit, has choppy internet, low on maintenance (had to call several time for simple work order to check the hair dryer), carpets were dirty, and room-service came at 5:00 p.m. to clean […] up. In all, the room did not meet expectations for the stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location & valet parking, worth the $25!"
So glad I booked this prior to leaving on our road trip. Other reviews helped me decided that this was a convenient, safe location and that secure valet parking was going to be a big bonus and worth the $25! Finding the place wasn't so hard, the hard part was knowing where to park to check in and unload luggage when we got there. There are only 2-3 […] parking spots right on the street in front of the hotel (they were occupied). What we had to do was simply leave our car parked in the street, give the valet our keys and leave it there until the valet attendants could park it. It's what everyone was doing. The hotel gets kick backs for recommending the Oceana as a dining choice, it was good, but don't be afraid to try someplace else! Actually, the restaurant on the corner right across the entrance of the hotel came highly recommended by other vacationers, they said the breakfast was wonderful! I think it was call the "Red Shoe", or something like that, we didn't get the chance to try it because we were only in town for one night. One night was enough time in New Orleans. "Back down memory lane"
This was my second time in NOLA and I'm already thinking about the third visit. This city, or at least the French Quarter is so perfectly designed for romance, family and or friend traveling that I can't get enough. Everyone was pleasant and I love how everything was in walking distance. The furthest I had to travel was to the Zoo and that was only […] a half hour from our Hotel using the #11 bus, which was pretty much a straight shot from Canal street. The trolley is great and I cant say enough good things about this place, Just GO!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice place; weird key policy"
Beautiful room, clean lobby, convenient valet parking, great location to the French Quarter. My only issue is that on the day of your check out, your key doesn't work. Even if it's before checkout time; even if you haven't checked out yet. I met family for breakfast amd returned to get my bag and check out. Upon returning to my room my key didn't work. […] The person at the front desk (who was nice about it) let me know it was because I was leaving that day. This makes no sense to me, was a minor inconvenience, and certainly has not been my experiemce elsewhere. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Western St. Christopher"
Nice small hotel. The location was excellent - near the river and just across from the French Quarter but without all the commotion. The room was small, but comfortable and clean. However, our particular room did not have a window, which was rather offputting and the only complaint we really had. The staff could not have been more friendly, helpful […] and accommodating. The breakfast was the usual motel fare - adequate but nothing special. However, just across the street is a place serving great breakfast and lunch if you want more. All in all, we were very satisfied and would definitely stay here again. We would just make sure there was a window in the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Staff were warm and welcoming!!"
The hotel is nicely centrally located, walking distance to French Quarter and Jackson Square and popular eateries. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. The staff is great!! Kenisha set us up on a nice tour of the city that made the trip!! She was a jewel. John the valet was wonderful getting us cabs. So sweet, what a southern gentlemen!!Genuine Expedia guest review
I booked it through hotels.com, and got a great rate, especially for the location. What I didn't know was there is no parking anywhere, so you have to stop in front and have them valet your carGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was beautiful. Way better than I expected after reading the reviews. Breakfast was a plus. The hotel staff was awesome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our first time to New Orleans since just after Katrina. The hotel was really great! The free breakfast in the morning was very nice and good way to start out our day. Staff was so nice. Gave us lots of advise and recommendations on what was happening and what to do. We loved our stay. Not one complaint.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was relatively clean. The maid service didn't empty coffee pot or ice bucket, nor they leave extra coffee. Bathroom isn't very practical, you put your toiletries on the shelf above the toilet, so you better keep the toilet lid down! Another hotel with those "half" size pillow that are very uncomfortable. Over the hotel was ok for the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff was fantastic. They were so helpful and friendly. The ladies at the front desk entertained my little cousin with ghost stories (although this hotel is not haunted). The hotel itself is as good as any other hotel I've stayed in while visiting New Orleans. We had no issues except for a scammer call us on the first night at 2am. The hotel notified […] us of that issue when we checked in, and I hope they resolve it soon. Other than that, everything was great. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, free breakfast was a plus. The location is fantastic. Right off of Canal which makes it easy to get to the French Quarter, yet across Canal so it's a lot quieter than the hotels right in the French Quarter. I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Average price, average stay... Great location."
Had a good time while house hunting in New Orleans... Overall the staff was great, minus one incident with a particularly rude front desk associate.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location, walkable to the french quarter and staff was generally friendly. However, AC and vent were too noisy (wake up in the middle of the night noisy) and mattress and pillows were very very uncomfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Mediocre at Best"
The only good thing about this place was that it was across the street from my conference hotel. Well, to be fair, one of the valets was actually super helpful and nice. But the rest of the employees seemed like they had better things to do. The room faculties were lack luster and there wasn't even a window in the room, just a set of curtains in front […] of a mirror. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I really enjoyed my room with the exposed brick, and huge window in the bathroom, which gave it a refreshing feel not felt in other hotels where I stayed so far in Memphis in the same or even higher price range. For once, I also had a small fridge, which helps. The cleaning maids also had the courtesy of not tampering with your room temperature or leaving […] lights on. What I don't understand however is the complete lack of recycling. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay in New Orleans."
The room was very clean, The bed was very comfortable. The location is close enough to the French Quarter but far enough away for a quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was decent considering it was included. TV recepetion was not great, but that was not important to us. The staff was friendly and recommended some good restaurants. They were also helpful for […] inforamtion about transport to the airport and cruise ship terminal. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice, clean, good location"
I would stay here again. The location was great for the conference I was attending. It was just a few blocks from Bourbon St. The only mark against it was the breakfast it served. Was NOT impressed at all with the food.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not horrible but not great."
Like I said it was ok. Hotel staff not the greatest but neither is the hotel. It was ok and really close to everything for the price. On the fence about whether I would recommend to a friend but it made me answer so I did.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A shock - to say the least"
First impressions was the walk in doors. Dirty and not painted w/o any handles. Second impression - the elevator was being worked on. No sign indicating why there was no paneling on the sides. Third - Entrance into the room was a total shock. Bare walls (see photo) of wires and brick. The dimensions were 12X15 for two double beds...excuse me, excuse […] me, excuse me...as I try to pass by. Hotel staff was unable to accommodate us into a different room. They shared we were basically stuck. What saved us? Essential Oils we had to calm us down and make the room smell nice. I learned a lesson for New Orleans - ASK for the room dimensions. Don't let the pretty front photo of this hotel fool you. It isn't that nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable room, convenient location"
If you're looking for a little old-school New Orleans charm at a better than average price, try the St. Christopher. It's centrally located within easy walking distance of French Quarter or the Convention Center. Just off Canal St. where you can catch the trolly. Very comfortable bed, and the room stayed nice an cool in the hot and muggy New Orleans […] weather, although the fan noise for the A/C was just a bit too loud for comfort (a small price to pay for staying cool). Staff was friendly and helpful. A nice alternative to the mega-tower hotels nearby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Helpful, friendly staff"
Hotel needs lots of work from the front door up. Peeling paint, not too well maintained in several areas. Most carpeting looks soiled. A facelift would improve things a lot.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Value for Location"
Nice hotel for price. Convenient to French Quarter. Only negative was the view out our window was a brick wall. When we checked in the desk clerk told me to come back in 1 hour for a nicer room with a view. When we came back an hour later, all she had was a 3rd floor room with no view at all. The rest of our stay was positive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location to city transportation"
Very nice hotel close to street car and bus stops, this makes it very easy to get around New Orleans without having to drive or pay for car parking. It would be nice if the staff had more information/brochures for the street car/bus routes around town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel with amazing staff!!"
We really enjoyed everything about this hotel, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was always there to greet you with a smile and answered any questions we had. "First off, I have to say this staff is top notch!"
What a great group of workers this place has - so kind, fun, friendly and helpful. They were the shining star for this property. Now I have to say, we had an "inside" room which means no windows - room 403 which was right around the corner from the elevators - good thing is, we did not hear any annoying dings or anything outside our door. I know this […] is an old building and they are continuously working on upgrading and fixing it (which is great). Our room was small and had an older feeling. Good things about the room = Shower was wonderful (very good pressure), soft towels, and the beds were comfy with lots of pillows. Not so great things about the room = carpeting could be replaced, tile in bathroom may need to be re-grouted and not enough shelving room in the bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was great and had enough variety to choose from. Once again, the STAFF IS AWESOME! I would definitely suggest staying here, but maybe request a room with a view. "Close to Everything"
The Hotel St. Christopher is a great place to stay when visiting New Orleans. My room featured three walls of Brick, comfortable beds and more than enough space. "Not Family friendly at all"
This hotel is the worst experience of over 100 hotels I been in my life. If you have a family do not even attempt to book this place. Besides the location everything else is wrong. It is dirty, dark and they do not have cribs for your infants a nightmareGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awesome location! Awesome staff!"
The hotel was great. Staff was excellent! The only problem we had was that it advertises that they have parking available. What that means is they have valet parking that they charge you $20 for. Plus tip of course. That was frustrating and we may have gone to a different hotel and paid a little bit more to have parking that we could access otherwise […] we had to wait about 20 minutes for our vehicle to get retrieved for us. The valet parking was four blocks away. Again though the hotel was great and the staff was really awesome. I would likely stay here again, now that I know that there's a fee for the parking. Booked this hotel with Hotels.com. When we arrived, we were put in a smoking room...which the hotel did AFTER I booked a NS room on Hotels.com. We couldn't stand the smoke smell, so called to see if they could switch us to a NS room. They did, however, when we got in that room, my wife noticed water running down the front of the portable closet(with […] refrig inside) and found water dripping from the ceiling mounted A/C unit above the closet. Carpet was soaked all around the closet. Called down again, got switched to a NS room with no water dripping in this room. Although, on the 3rd day of a 4 day stay, my wife noticed when she took her shoes off at the door and walked across the room to sit by the windows, her white socks were "black" with dirt!!! Then I looked at my "bare" feet and they too were "black"! :( When my wife told the desk clerk about it, she was VERY busy checking people in and out and said, "I will pass it on to management". Yeah, right...she won't say a word!!! Other than the switching around, dirty floors, and loud A/C units in the room it was a pretty good hotel. Great location for our needs is the only reason I stayed! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"First trip to New Orleans"
On our road trip to Texas we arrived in New Orleans to rest and spend a little time sightseeing. The hotel was easy to find and the fee was very reasonable. However, the room we were assigned turned out to be near all of the facility access doors. There was constant door opening and closing throughout the night that interrupted my sleep. I would strongly […] suggest that the doors be outfitted with soft closing hinges to eliminate this problem. Overall, we had a great visit and would stay again in a different area of the hotel.
