This is one of the best upscale value lodgings that I've booked. And, you get sunset on the beach in Bali for free! It is still not a good idea to try to walk to the airport, but I bought this for the convenience of the location and it's still only 10 minutes to airport departure by everpresent taxi. At the time we booked, this hotel was rated #1 on Tripadvisor, but we are absolutely baffled by that rating. It is entirely serviceable, but unremarkable in every way -- to the extent that it really got us wondering about the Tripadvisor rating methodology. Although on the quiet end of what is probably one of the busiest areas of Bali, Green Garden […] is, nevertheless, a relatively noisy place. Between barking dogs and more or less constant traffic, we were always aware of the world beyond the hotel. Although we selected this hotel in part because it was supposed to be removed from the fray, it seems now that a place closer to the city center might have been a better choice. We spent a ridiculous amount of time waiting for a scheduled shuttle that doesn't appear to exist, and finally walked what turned out to be a short distance into central Kuta. What we found there was much more interesting than the Green Garden neighborhood, and not much more hectic overall. We only got a sense of the proximity of our destination after repeated inquiries with desk personnel who had directed us to the shuttle that never came. Our suspicion is that the shuttle is erratic, because it turns a ten minute walk into a much longer van trip All of the staff were very nice, but the property was mostly so-so. The included breakfast was average diner fare -- okay, but not noteworthy, and certainly not to the standard of some of the full-blown native cuisine spreads that we have had at other hotels. It's not really a resort or a spa. The staff was pleasant and helpful and it's very close to the airport if that matters to you. But the place is pretty dumpy. The pictures are misleading. The rooms feel dirty, the bathrooms are very run down, and the pool is small, gimicky and not very inviting. If you're going to Kuta to party and get drunk, and just want a place to crash, then this isn't a bad option. Everything in this hotel was a great experience. They offer you a welcoming drink when you first arrive. The security helped us carry our bags up to the 3rd floor since there's no elevator. The pool is nice too! And it's walking distance to the beach! Kuta Square is very close (about a 5 minute drive and you pay about a dollar for a taxi going there) and you can have dinner and go out partying afterwards if you're up for it. Most relaxing stay. Staff welcoming and attentive. Would recommend one of the upper rooms with a balcony rather than ground floor adjacent to the pool. The cafe/bar area is pleasant with a varied menu and tasty food.

Great little hotel! The staff were really nice and gave me a great room overlooking the pool. The rooms are big, though the bathroom was a littłe run down. I arrived before check in time and they gave me a room anyway. Great hotel and we were very well looked after. Nice location about 15 minutes walking distance to Kuta and just across the road from the beaches. We love bartering and buying at the markets and there were some close but not too many! There was also a shopping mall for more upmarket purchases about 10 minutes away.
