"Lovely little place"
Very nice property. Small and intimate. In some ways it has the charm of a B&B with a few more of the amenities of a larger hotel. Breakfast was nice. They upgraded us to a suite-- I'm sure due to limited rooms, but it was greatly appreciated. The only real knock on the place was the bed was too hard. My wife likes a firm mattress but this was too hard […] for her as well. Location was great and the area in Killarney-- it is hard to go wrong there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable convenient location for drivers"
Smaller hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. Bar and restaurant at reasonable rates and guest lounges available to relax. Friendly and helpful staff. About 3 miles from the centre of town so probably better suites drivers but appear to be buses available.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"has bar and restaurant"
Very nicely appointed place. The bar had live music for Saturday night, and also served excellent food. A little too far out of town is you do not have a car.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and updated, still has character"
It was a very nice stay, the building has character but the hotel still has modern updated amenities. The staff was very helpful. The location was not that far from town, and we were able to walk, though I would not recommend it for people who aren't fans of walking a good ways. It is nice that is located in between the town and the park though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to National park"

"Convenient to Muckross"
Charming small hotel. Comfortable room. We decided to have dinner and breakfast there as we arrived late and left early. Both meals were very good. We felt welcome. Only drawback was the two flights of stairs we had to carry our luggage up to our room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean hotel with friendly staff and good food."
Hotel was clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food in Resturant and bar was very good with a good selection. Would definitely recommend to friends and family or staff at again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Close to town and the Ring of Kerry. Nicely appointed and great bar for a night cap. Great mountain views.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A bit pricey for the internet not to work. You will need a car or taxi to get anywhere. Desk agent avoided eye contact, which got awkward as we had to walk within 1 foot of the desk to get to the hallway. Bar staff was friendly and bar area itself was pleasant. Access to the national park was walkable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice location on Ring of Kerry"
Great hotel and food is wonderful! Staff very friendly and informative! We went during off season and was upgraded to a suite. Room was beautiful and very comfortable! We decided to eat at the hotel for dinner since we were tired from a long day of travel. The food was outstanding! I also assumed it was good since there were several locals eating there […] too! "Friendly staff and great room!"
When we arrived at Victoria House, we were greated warmly by reception and informed we had been upgraded! Our room was very large and spacious, with a sitting area and a very large bath. The staff in the dining room were super friendly! The hotel was out of the city center (but still close) and was quite and relaxing. We had breakfast there each morning, […] and the selection was wonderful with an option of ordering hot dishes as well. We ate in the bar one night and enjoyed the food there too. "Not a comfy place to rest your head"
I think the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We got in late and ate dinner in the bar next to a fire with a nice pint of Guinness. When we got up to our room we were surprised at the amount of space...it was huge. The downside of this stay is that the bed is AWFUL. It is like sleeping on a concrete floor. We […] were hoping that being in a nicer hotel we would have a comfortable bed to sleep in after doing some driving and exploring but it was terrible. "Elegant & Updated"
We stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon in Ireland, since we heard there was lots to do in Killarney. I was looking forward to checking into this hotel and was very pleased with our room, the service and the hotel overall. We got the deluxe suite with a king bed and jacuzzi tub. Great location to everything there is to do in County Kerry! WiFi […] is only offered in the common areas, which was slightly annoying. We wouldn't recommend eating at the Chinese takeaway next door, just eat at the hotel! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
in general the experience at the Victoria house is not greatthe Service desk was not very friendly and they were not very helpful. the heater in our room would not turn off and when we asked that they fix it they did only for several hours and then the room got very hot again. One morning we experience no hot water and had to call down to the desk to […] have them fix the problem before we could shower. Bar staff was also not friendly, it took awhile to get them to bring us a drink or a menu so that we could order some food. Overall our experience was not good and we would not recommend Victoria House to anybody. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place, but dirty bathroom."
Great friendly staff, good location, charming rooms recently redecorated. The bathroom was visibly dirty, and wreaked of mildew. For that reason alone I would not stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent Small Hotel with Great Service and View"
Victoria House is located on Muckross Road with stunning views of the peaks in Killarney National Park. We stayed here six nights, got to know the excellent staff and felt quite at home. Our room was an executive suite with king bed and jacuzzi, very posh. The breakfasts (included in the price) were amazing, and the evening food was reasonably priced […] (for Killarney) and very good. Good pub atmosphere in the evening, too, in the bar downstairs. We highly recommend the Victoria House! Free parking was a plus, too. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best place we stayed in Ireland"
Located on a main street just near the Kilarney lakes and town. A great starting/ending point to see the Ring of Kerry. Staff at check in was very friendly and helpful. Got to our room and was amazed. Not sure if we were upgraded to a suite or if all rooms are like this, but for the price we paid this was the best deal! Had a sitting area in our room, […] and a great bathroom with a jet tub. Nice big comfy bed too. Restaurant bar area had a great atmosphere and great food at a great price. Staff was great too. Ending up spending our night in the bar area and had a lot of fun. Open late and has a nice outdoor sitting area too. Breakfast was also great. Staff also had lots of maps and helpful tips to explore the area. Best hotel we stayed at hands down! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good Hotel. Great Staff."
The room was very nice as expected for luxury accommodations. Breakfast was amazing. So much delicious food we had to control ourselves. The location is not as close to town center as some, in case you want to walk to town. But we had a rental car so the 3 minute drive to town was of little concern. The great thing about Victoria House is the staff. […] They accommodated every request with a smile and immediate results. We would gladly stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was situated in the perfect spot to explore Dublin. We took the bus from Dublin Airport instead of a taxi-only 6 euro. It was easy and there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. We saw other reviews that stated there was a lot of noise on the streets at night but we had the window open all night and slept like a baby. The beds were […] comfortable and the room was clean. We arrived way before check in. One week before our trip, I had contacted the hotel via email to confirm the trip directly and to ask if we could have early check in. They replied very quickly and said they would try to accommodate if they had a room open…and they did. This was a great benefit to be able to check in at 10:30AM after a long travel from Florida. We also got a full Irish breakfast with the room---excellent. I would recommend the Irish dance/dinner show they have in there restaurant. Also, check out a little French restaurant (Chez Max) located right at the entrance of the Dublin castle. You can sit outside and get a full meal for 10 or 12 euros. We had a bottle of wine with the cheese platter and it was wonderful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quaint older hotel"
Just stayed one night. Hotel was close enough to city center to walk. The hotel itself is a bit older but matches the quaint charm of this beautiful Irish town. The hotel bar at night had great Irish music and a friendly staff. Also the included breakfast was a great way to start the next morning.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good value for the price"
Very comfortable, mid-level hotel. My husband and I had a room with one double bed, small but very suitable, clean bathroom, nice shower. Tea and coffee setup. We opted not to get the breakfast which I was happy about. Instead we found a spot in town, Jam, that was excellent and very reasonable. We walked into town for dinner one night, it was a pleasant […] walk, probably about 45 minutes to an hour. We also had a drink at the hotel bar one night after dinner--a nice standard bar. "The complete package"
Of the 14 nights I spent traveling through Ireland, this was my favorite! The room was large and very clean, with a separate seating area and another space with a desk for writing. The staff was helpful and most friendly. The location was quiet, across from a park and very close to the Killarney Nat'l Park. The biggest bonus was the quality of the food […] right in the hotel....delicious enough that after each of 3 busy days, I was able to enjoy great meals right on site. "Lovely Hotel with Superb Service"
We booked 4 nights in a Deluxe Double room while we were exploring Southwest Ireland/Galway. The room was tastefully decorated and spacious, as well as very comfortable. The jetted tub was especially nice after a long day (and helping alleviate our initial jet lag!) The bathroom was also quite nice, although the lighting made it a little tricky to apply […] make up (it was high and behind you when standing at the mirror). We enjoyed the Irish breakfast every morning, particularly the poached eggs and "pancakes" (crepes). The bar/restaurant was also good and packed in the evenings with locals/guests. We were especially impressed by the service we received at check out. We were leaving early (630am) and let them know the day before. Reception made sure that the night porter would be expecting us and even put out a selection of cold breakfast foods and offered us coffee/tea/toast (they don't normally serve breakfast until 8am!) We felt very taken care of and prepared for our drive to Dublin. The location was great for driving to local sights like the Ring of Kerry, the Killarney National Park, Dingle, etc. We would love to come back! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay at Victoria House was great. It is located close to Killarney National Park and the downtown area. Downtown is a little over a mile walk. Across the steet from Victoria House is a big meadow that the deer come down and feed in the early evening. The rooms do not have wifi so you need to sit out on the patio or in the lobby. The patio is set […] up nicely right outside the hotel bar. Our room was one of the larger ones we stayed in the week we were in Ireland. Would definately stay here again. "Great place on ring of Kerry"
This hotel was beautiful, well located, great service. I wish we stayed there for more than 1 night. A huge plus after hiking around gorgeous sites on ring of Kerry was the jacuzzi bathtub! "Lovely place in Kilarney"
We booked this hotel the day before arriving in Kilarney. It's a lovely bed and breakfast and the staff are wonderful. They were very helpful. The only problem we saw was that it was not walking distance to the center. It could have been but it would have been a 30 minutes or more walk. But we were driving the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Pininsula and […] did not want to make the walk to town and deal with parking. We ate at the hotel and it was wonderful. I would recommend it.
