Overall, I'd rather pay more and get more. Good: Refrigerator, microwave, price. Bad: Poor lighting in handicap parking area, not secure (lock was broke on entrance door near room), housekeeping only cleans every 4th day, TV reception/picture awful and no premium channels, very thin walls, front desk wasn't friendly or helpful during check-in, necessary […] parking pass not provided during check-in (had note on car 3rd day about pass), no one available to assist with luggage during check-in, I wouldn't recommend this for more than one day, if you need some rest, or if you are disabled or elderly. "Las Vegas 2013"
We were not informed that the Club had two separate properties when we made the reservations. We were dropped off by our limousine driver at the second property however it was closed and we had to walk with our bags to the primary property, this was about a half a block walk. This needs to be clearly identified by the hotel owners toward their guests. […] It was almost midnight, extremely windy and cold outside, it was not a pleasant walk. "Further from the strip than you think."
We chose this hotel because it was a decent price and was 3 miles from the strip. In Vegas, 3 miles might as well be 30. The hotel is very quiet - it seems more like Simi Valley than Vegas, which might be fine for some but wasn't the experience I was looking for. Check-in is 4 and check-out is 10...If you want any coffee, be prepared to be up at 8. […] This is your grandma's Vegas. The walls in the rooms are so thin, we were awakened at 7 am by some guy checking his Facebook page and talking about it. He might as well have been sitting on the end of our bed. We called the night before our stay to verify that we had a smoking room reserved. The lady I spoke with noted everything and said I was all set for our smoking room. Upon arrival we were told there were no smoking rooms available because they ALL were being re-carpeted. We were very disappointed and asked why we were told the day before that our smoking […] room was reserved. And not once did we see any type of carpet being removed or any work being done on any rooms. Overall the room was nice and we liked that it had a balcony. We went to Vegas for a family wedding. There was no shuttle from the airport to the hotel. There was a shuttle to a grocery store and to the strip. Hours for that were good and the bus drivers were prompt and courteous. Rooms were OK, but some of the features were cheap, i.e the microwave and such. If you like to stay off of the strip and dont care about amenities, this place is decent. The decor is a bit old and the place looks like an apartment building turned hotel. The room was clean and comfortable but because it is a timeshare resort, there is no maid service unless you stay for a week (it would have been nice if somebody told us that prior […] to leaving). Each taxi ride to Cosmo cost less than $15, but having a two bedroom, 1000+ sq ft. suite for a fraction of the price of the strip makes it worth it. This was our first time off the strip. We liked the area. Grocery stores, banks and cafes. It was more like staying at home. We missed the shuttle going back to room on Sunday by 2 minutes. "Good and Bad"
I am a business owner and brought a team to vegas for work and a little bit of play. We arrived just an hr before check in which for this resort is 4pm instead of 3pm at other hotels. We walked into the lobby were rudely greeted by a young man who went forward with checking us in, however he told us we could not actually check into the room until 4pm […] unless we wanted to pay extra per room. When I intervened and asked a simple question of if the rooms are already clean and you are assigning us rooms, isn't it at all possible to check in early? he replied with a stern no! When his colleague a nice young lady came to assist since we had 2 rooms, she insisted that it should be ok to check us in early and that she would check with her supervisor to make sure. The young man without any common sense in his immature mind told her "I don't care, I'm NOT going to do it". This was said right in front of us with no care whatsoever if we heard it. He didn't care that we just drove from california (4 hour drive), he didn't care that we were spending over $2,000 for our stay, and he didn't care if we heard anything he said that was towards us. Luckily the young lady went ahead and check us in anyway so we did not have to wait until 4pm, and the rest of the staff was very courteous. I strongly feel that this "immature child" should either be let go or put in a position that humbles him quite a bit. We came to learn from the staff that this is how he always treats customers. "Get What You Pay For"
I traveled for work so my hotel selection was limited by both location and budget. This hotel seemed to be the closest match. My room was surprisingly nice and updated. The front desk staff person with whom I had to interact on two days was not friendly nor accommodating. I was hit with an unexpected "resort fee" upon checking in (I don't recall seeing […] that posted on Expedia anywhere). In the midst of my stay, they decided to change out all of the locks on the doors. I was not informed of this and was left to hang out in the lobby during this time. Shower was lukewarm both days. The air conditioning was really loud in the room. The rooms were suites that were separated by a door so we could hear everything from the room right next door. Our neighbors had two kids and they played their TV very loud. It is a $15 cab ride to the strip. The shuttle was nice but it makes several stops so it takes about 20-30 min to get to the strip […] and it only stops at two major hotels on the strip. "ADDITIONAL FEES, WHY???"
I was asked by the hotel staff to provide additional information other than the normal registration number and photo ID. I stated that I can provide the registration number and that they should be able to figure it out on their own. then I was told to send them the confirmation number via e-mail because they cannot find my information by the registration […] number alone since the information gets updated only once a day. I was ALSO asked to PAY AN ADDITIONAL $6.00 FEE for some type of facilities service fee. I was too tired to argue so I just went ahead and payed the fee. Don't even bother asking for a late check out they will say no automatically. If your not out of your room by 10am they will harass you and send security to get you out.
