The staff were super helpful and friendly. Service was impeccable. The room was a little small but it was very clean, well designed, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was delicious and we slept like babies.

As usual, Red Roof Inn failed to disappoint me when I have looked for a balance between cost and decency of accommodation. Indeed, it is the best value for the buck and goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I had to change my booking and then check out early due to personal reasons but the hotel didnt flinch but rather gave me (through Hotels.com) a full refund for unspent nights. Needless to say, I will prefer to stay here when I can.

We enjoyed the convenient location(right on the Endicott campus). Literally a short walk to the beach. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bed was listed as Queen size but it was actually a full size which was a bit small for the two of us. Otherwise, very enjoyable and would stay there again.

Our son goes to college close by and we would stay here again. Very clean, staff was very nice and the breakfast was a bonus. Easy to get to and plenty of places to eat close by.

Nice hotel- decent room and size. The location is perfect. Walking distance to a ton of great shops and restuarants. My husband and I would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful gem in a charming Boston neighborhood. The Guest House had a very European flavor in style & decor and that is just our kind of place. Very clean & friendly. The location could not have been better - just blocks from the T on a street with many restuarants and shops and away from the hustle & bustle of downtown but within easy access of […] the Boston Fine Art Museum, SYmphony Hall and Fenway Park. The French restaurant in the bottom level was elegant and the food wonderful. The little crepery next door was perfect for a light lunch or mid-afternoon treat. I had a nice stay here - I was on the top floor, nice & quiet. Room was small-ish (queen bed), but perfect for just me. My toilet kept running every 5 minutes on the dot (I timed it) so that was a little annoying. The shower was not great, but you could tell the rest of the bathroom has been redone recently. "Cute hotel...strange experience"
This hotel is in the heart of the Back Bay area, and it is a very charming renovated brownstone. The rooms are small, but crisp and clean, and they are all equipped with a DVD player and refrigerator. You can borrow DVD's from the front desk for free. Unfortunately, our stay was a bit bizarre. Our room smelled like it had been painted that afternoon, […] so we had to keep the windows open to air it out. Then, a maintenance guy came into our room at 11:30 pm while we were sleeping! I was in Boston for a conference at the Hynes Convention Center. The hotel was perfectly located close to the Center but in a quiet area. Lots of nice restaurants and sights nearby. Easy access to the T. I would definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay at the Newbury. We found it to be very clean. It is a small hotel located in a neighborhood loaded with great shops and restaurants. In spite of that, our rooms on the second floor were quiet and comfortable. Loved this place, would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for small hotel ambiance.

For about the same price as a major hotel we a clean, nicely appointed room, friendly personal staff, breakfast, great service, a location and smack dab in the middle of Back Bay on Newbury St. Reserved parking was available for a minor fee as well. Would definitely recommend.

My previous stays in Boston's Back Bay took place at the Lenox Hotel, but this year they were priced out of my price range, so I took a chance and booked one night at the Newbury Guest House. I recognized both the star rating and user review rating were not as high as the Lenox, but they were still respectable (3star, 4.5 user rating). The guest house […] fell far short of my expectations. The reception/check in area was under construction, so it probably wasn't a fair review, but the decor was not very inviting. The front desk consisted of a 4 foot high desk, and he gentleman working at the desk remained seated during the check in process - which created an odd experience - i.e. - looking down on him to check in. The room was large and well decorated, but the mattress and pillows were not very comfortable. The bathroom was also not what I would expect from a 3 star location. I have seen better in 2 star. Newbury Guest House worked well for our needs when visiting Boston. The neighborhood is central and great for browsing and strolling. Our room was large and clean and comfortable. We faced a back alley way, so there was no view, but more importantly, there was good light and no street noise. We were very much satisfied.

Really loved the location. It's right in the heart of the Back Bay area, a trendy shopping & dining area. Great place to walk around and look at all the renovated "brown stone" buildings. It's also close to the subway so you can see all the sights without needing a taxi. I only found two negatives: 1- t's a bit noisy.
