It was a nice hotel and a few blocks from town. Staff was knowledgeable and recommended some good places to eat Such as jonathans And the clayhouse farm.

The Inn was perfect for our needs, just a short walk into town and best of all to the Marginal Way Walk. Though it sat on busy Route 1 the Inn is set back and quiet. Though it is classified as an Inn, my friends and I felt it was a little bit more like a roadside motel. We did not use any of the facilities but the Inn was clean and comfortable.

Some suggestions: There were no luggage stands to put the luggage on. We had to keep the luggage on the floor and that was not at all convenient. There were no tissues in the bathroom and we were surprised that bathroom tissue, which was almost completely used, was on the roll with the end folded under to show it had been attended to. I enjoyed my stay at the Admiral's Inn. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again. Ogunquit is a very quaint little village with wonderful shops. It is only steps from the beach, which is beautiful and very clean. If you go there; I recommend that you eat at Bessie's and Egg and I. Both had delicious food […] at reasonable prices. Barnacle Bill's, however was overpriced. Also, in the area, is Warren's Lobster House which is located in nearby Kittery, Maine. Fantastic! We ate there twice. From the website pictures, we were led to believe we were staying in a B&B with the quaint rooms and when we arrived we were given a room in a back area that was a standard motel room. We were also told that we could pay for breakfast, there was no continental breakfast included. We booked the room for two nights but left after only one because it was not a quiet restful place. Our room had a window air conditioner unit which because of the heavy rain condition was an extremely noisy intrusion. The noise of the water hitting the metal was unbelievable. Staff is very accomadating. My husband is handicapped and could not get up the stairs to the dining room for breakfast. They packed up his breakfast and followed me to the room with it. There were four of us staying in two rooms. It looks like a motel, and feels like a four star resort. Location is great, The shower is separate from sink, and the counter is very large and holds everything. Bed is super comfy, and pillows are down and soft. Went on a weekend trip for daytime "tourist" type activities. We are not "nightlife" people, so we stayed in the two evenings we were there. Not too bad except that the television was pretty small (not more than 24 inches) and therefore a little hard on the eyes. We really enjoyed our stay @ the Admiral. The only thing we had a slight problem with was the room was a little too hot during mid-March. Other than that, we were pleasantly surprised with our first visit there! We also wish we could have utilized the workout area and the Sauna. We appreciated the very friendly and helpful hotel attendent, who at our arrival (10:00 p.m.) guided us to a CVS for some last minute items. Others on the staff also were helpful in identifying places to eat and some tourist spots during our stay. The room was very well maintained after our first night.

Nice place. Only issue was that the room was not cleaned properly. It did not appear that the cleaning crew ever vacuumed under the beds (found trash there) or into tight corners (e.g., behind doors, next to dresser). Not cool.

The main issue was that there was no mirror over the sink, but the room was clean and quiet with a nice little deck. The inn is quaint and quiet, well maintained with a friendly staff. It's a short drive or […] moderate walk (1/2 mile?) to downtown Ogunquit , the prestine beach , or the granite cliffs of "Marginal Way" - a walkway along the ocean from Perkins Cove to downtown. Although the hotel staff were very charming and funny, what we needed most was some understanding around the fact that Irene was about to hit and we needed to cancel our reservations in order to return home to Vermont. They would not refund or offer any concessions. So, I would not recommend this hotel in the future. Otherwise, everything was fine -- […] not great, a little far from the ocean -- but it provided us with a last minute place to stay in Ogunquit. We had a wonderful Girl's night out at the beach for my friends 50th. Having a separate sitting was a nice surprise. We were in the new building with the adult only hot tub and pool,which was nice. The tub & pool close at 8pm which we thought was rather early. The manager was very helpful when one of us locked the keys in in the car. It is not on the […] beach but is a short walk to everything, might be to long for those not used to doing any real walking.The Trolley stops about 3 blocks away if you are tiered or had too much champagne. Only complaint was that the towels, cups and coffee set up was for 2 people and we had paid the surcharge for a 3rd person. They did correct the problem when I mentioned it in the AM. Read more
