This hotel has a great location for going to Disneyland. Not anything else. The rooms were just ok. They were clean. But the power went out one day and the TV never worked. The shuttles were unreliable and didn't even come at the times hotel staff said. The pool was only open a few hours in the morning and a few in the evening. Never got to swim. The […] free wifi was spotty and only worked 10% of the time. The food in the captains library was excellent. Breakfast was pretty good too. The staff were nice. I would probably take the kids back. The toilets were extremely foul smelling, which resulted in a strong aroma of septic pervading the room. Despite our placement of the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, the hotel cleaning staff completely disregarded it, and entered the room, failing to adequately clean it each time.In fact,they do not clean the rooms at all. Basic European hotel, the rooms are no frills. Morning buffet good start to the day, not your typical American breakfast light but filling. Bring your own washcloth if you are accustomed to using one. Kids would enjoy the pool area. Shuttle service was very good.

I'm surprised Disney put their name on this hotel. The room was the size of a large closet, for a family of 4, we could barely move in the room. There was a tiny bathroom in which the only outlet did not work. There were no hand towels or wash clothes or soap to wash your hands! There was one restaurant that opened for breakfast and a few for dinner. […] Not much choice and very expensive. The pool was fun but they charged 2,00 euros per each towel, and you could not use the ones from your room! The staff was friendly at the front desk, but the house cleaning staff was inadequate! Not only did they not change the sheets the next day but we still did not get towels and soap we needed. It was so disappointing! They had a video game room that was outrageously expensive. They made it seem like it was a great hotel for families and it was nothing I would ever stay at again much less refer to a friend. Beware military community! By American standards, Hotel 6 is 10x better. This place has skinny mattresses on spring boards. Hotel's restaurants all closed except for 1. Pizza they make comes in a pile of manufactured dough with tomato paste to which full of himself cook puts cheese on top and shoves it in the oven. some of the negative reviews gave me pause before we went, but we found this to be a perfect place to stay when doing Disneyland. Close, convenient, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. The indoor play area, private ship, and especially the pool with water slides were huge hits with my kids. We'd stay there again happily.

There was no one to help with my bags and I was traveling alone with a 2 year old so it was not easy to manage the bags and my daughter. I could not find my room and no one was available to ask. The pool could have been warmer. There was little to no services. This hotel is very very self service. Once you did find a staff member at the hotel however they were very helpful and friendly. I thought that this hotel was part of Disney and when I showed up at the park at 8:00 ready to enter with my 2 year old we were both very disappointed that we could not get in until 9:30. We had no plans to visit Disneyland Paris, but stayed here because it was the only place I could find close to Paris that would accommodate a family of 5. We stayed in a two room suite with 6 beds. It worked out well. The free shuttle bus took us directly to the train station where we purchased 3-day train passes. We could ride all trains, subways and […] busses unlimited. This way we saw all the major Paris sites quite easily as the train system is fantastic. I would highly recommend staying at Explorers even if you don't do Disney. Crampt , small room with no toiletries. Kids running the hallways at night yelling and banging on doors.The luggage cart was so dirty that my hand stuck to it.Desk personel were terrific , but other employees were abrupt and nasty. Building needs ALOT of mantainence . Hard to bvelieve that this is a Disney affiliate property.

Great location, great rooms. However, my car was vandalized and the hotel desk would not tell me how to call the police. They gave me an incident report and a map to the local police station who would not do a police report without an interpreter and would not tell me when to come back or how to get one. Frustrated!

Travelling with a family of 6 wasn't easy but staying at Thomas Cook Explorer Hotel made it easy for us. Conviniently located to Disneyland, very good room for large family, reasonably priced, frequent shuttle bus service to and from Disneyland, very impresive indoor swimming pool and activities. Hard to find a fault at this hotel. We loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Explorers. As parents of 3 small children, European travel is always a challenge. Our suite at Explorers was inexpensive and had plenty of beds for all of us. Mostly our kids were thrilled with the huge pirate swimming pool and ballroom play area. Location was excellent and shuttle only took 5 min to get us to Disneyland, […] which was also the metro station, so convenient. Plenty of parking, breakfast was decent. But mostly, it was a relaxing atmosphere that allowed kids to roam and play, our littlest kept begging to leave Paris and go back to the hotel! The hotel is fun for kids and right next to Disneyland Paris, but the beds were horrible. They have thin mattresses that squeaked every time you moved. We got a good price for our room at this hotel. The location is close enough to the Disney park and train station. Our room was spacious enough, and the beds were comfortable. Stayed for 4 days alot of things broken in the hotel and room and not welled maintained, breakfast consisted mainly of bread and a few fruits and cereals and yogurts. Take the shuttle from the hotel (very Convenient) to the Metro station in front of the park under 10 Euro for an all day pass you can hop on and off all day and see what you want to and 3 and uder are free it is pretty easy to get around and such a beautiful place to visit. make sure to take one of the many boat tours they have it is beautiful and not to pricey to do. If you are American and or if you have visited the US and are familier with the motel chain Motel 6, this is comparable..bare minimum no bells and whistles not to dirty and OK only if you need a place to sleep. Having visited all Disney locations in USA and being used to the great and friendly service associated to those experiences, this one was way far from even being mediocre. Staff at the hotel were not friendly in any way or fashion, service was marginal at best. The hotel was not clean and food was the worst I have ever seen. I think prison inmates at […] San Quentin eat better and have better choices. Staff only talked french and trying to get extratowels and pillow for the kids was an adventure. Phone at front desk was never answer, and I called 27 times. I needed ice and asked for a pitcher of ice and they charged me 10 Euros for the ice. The only good thing was the location, near the parks. I had called the hotel and Hotels.com prior to arrival coz I knew half the european hotels had no air condition and was assured that they did. My room only had a ceiling fan and it was really hot. I spoke to the front desk and they promised to move my room to one of the four air conditioned rooms. My new room had air condition boxes that did not work […] and it was very uncomfortable. I ordered a movie which was supposed to be about 7 euros and they charged me 50 euros coz they said we had picked unlimited movie option which we did not for 25 eauros and they charged it twice coz we had a suite and two tvs even though we used only only one. that's about $100 for a lousy movie. The icing on the cake wa the internet service which though my husband paid for it on the spot cash, they insited we did not. After several minutes argueing, they took the internet charges off and stuck with one 25 euros for a movie. Not a good experience and I would not recoomend it. The pool was okay and the kids enjoyed that and the evening buffet is good too and a good value for the money. Read more

No a/c in most of rooms. Was explained that this was a norm for "3-Star" hotels in Europe though on our trip we never experienced this again. Seemed like most of staff was a manager in training. Whenever you requested or mentioned by name someone who had "promised" you something that person was gone for the day or that the new person could handle. Was […] promised a suite..then told there were none even though we paid for one. Were put in a room with a/c but it didnt work. Were promised a mini fridge with refreshments but didnt get that till i mentioned it then they questioned me on who told them that. Toilet broke in new room so we were told to use lobby because maintenance had gone for the day. When we finally said enough was enough they found a suite..then said qiute plainly no refunds. Our family really enjoyed staying here. Our boys (5 yr old & 10yr old) loved the play area and especially the fantastic pool. They boys had a hard time leaving and hope to return soon. We live in California so it's a bit far to travel back any time soon. We will definitely go back and stay here again if we visit Paris again. My husband and I had our 3 kids (ages 10, 7 & 1) and felt very safe and secure. We love the pool area as did our kids! We ordered pizza from the pizza area and loved it too. When we checked in they had given our room away to another guest, but made up for it 10 fold by putting us […] in a 3 room suite...if we go back to Paris and stay here I will request the suite again for the convenience of not having to hear our boys fight over space! It's an ideal hotel as far as sleeping only is concerned, in other words if you plan on spending most of your time in the Disney Park. However if you decide to inlcude some rest days in between it's not the best place to be. During the day, apart from a sandwitch bar there are no real facilities for meals. The luggage storage facility at the hotel turned […] out to be very useful on our last day after checkout since our departing flight was only later that evening, it allowed us some freedom to venture out back to the village to do last minute shopping. However and lastly, claims that there is free WiFi in the hotel is exagerrated. There is very limited and intermittent WiFi around the hotel entrance/lobby area. As soon as you venture beyond that, whether to the rooms or any other public area such as the restaurant downstairs the signal dissappears. Read more
