Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful plus speak English. Hotel room was decent size - We had a small leak issue in the bathroom that was quickly fixed, and room + bathroom were clean otherwise. Hotel restaurant food was OK, not too great. Area looked safe. Aero-bus for airport travel at about 6 Euros one-way is about 3-4 blocks away. Lots of little […] cafes, shops, etc nearby. Gaudi's Casa Batillo is not too far away ( 6-7 blocks ), from where you can catch hop-on-hop off bus, which is a great way to see Barcelona without breaking the bank, and you can change between the 2 main routes any number of times. Placa Catalunya is also not too bad a walk a little further up (About 1 mile from hotel). If you like metro, use of T10 pass which can be shared for 10 one-way trips between more than 1 person is usable for several days. Read more

Not recommended. While the hotel's description promises it is in Eixample, a lovely section of Barcelona, it bordered on a somewhat seedy section of town. We booked a family room with a large bed in each room; guaranteed for late arrival. We arrived at midnight, got the last room and had to make do with one large bed and a cot. We complained, a more […] confortable small bed was installed, but were told that was all that could be done. In addition, the room layout was just plain odd. The bathroom door was framed by an opening, so even when the bathroom door was closed, anyone at the sink outside the room could see everything going on in the bathroom. My only gripe with the hotel is that it appears that they turn off the air conditioning at night. During the day the unit would cool down the room but at night, after 9PM, it seemed that the unit would only produce warm air. Some rooms are quite large (by Barcelona standards) and some are the usual small size, and it seems random which one you get. Try to avoid the lowest floor as the rooms are dark. The hotel is centrally located, but not directly near anything significant for tourists. This was a good business hotel. Bathrooms are very nice. Rooms have twin beds-- either pushed together for a big bed or pushed apart for 2 twins. You could connect to the WiFi and get good signal strength, but no bandwidth (unfortunately, pretty typical for many Barcelona hotels). We liked the possibility of having 2 connected rooms, what is ideal for families travelling with teenagers. The hotel is located within a walking distance to Barrio Antico and there are many dinning options in the neighbourhood. Rooms are of a good size and nicely decorated. There is a parking option that costs 20 euros.

This is a good location for people who are able to walk. We were able to walk both to Las Ramblas in one direction and the water/light/music show in the other direction. The room service came late everyday to clean the after we had gotten back from sightseeing. They refused to provide an iron claiming it was a hazard. Finally the spa and sauna are a 16 euro surcharge. I feel they should not advertise these amenities without clearly stating this charge next to the amenity.

I stayed here for 3 nights, and the hotel was just OK. Do not go and expect a 4 star hotel experience, becuase it frankly is not. The concierge was very helpful, and the location was only 2 metro stops from the city center. My bigget issue was that my room was right next to the elevator and it was VERY loud at night, and the sound proofing was not good. […] The room did not have a coffee or tea pot which was a little dissapointing, and the shower had this odd wood planking over it. I could tell that the shower floor was old, and therfore they had put this planking over it to make it look "new". The hotel was very clean, and while the neighborhood was not terribly interesting there were cafes to grab a quick bite . If you are able to get this hotel at a good price (Spain is fairly inexpensive, so think "cheap") I would say go for it. Read more
