This hotel was close to the trolley system which made it very convenient for the first visit to Salt Lake. Kitchen was fully equipped with working stove, full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Bed comfortable and plenty of linens. Swimming pool, hot tub, outside basketball court, barbeque and picnic table on grassed area make it a good place for people traveling with children. Staff helpful and friendly.

This hotel provided good value for the money spent and I was quite satisfied. The breakfast and social hour selections were mostly better than those I've experienced elsewhere. The hotel did seem to experience some administration issues (we got a second room for one of the nights and they issued us a room which was in the process of being renovated and was not usable - it should have shown on their room sheets as unavailable, not available for rent).

The room was great for the price; clean, spacious, full kitchen was great, grounds were nice, and the location was easy to find. The service (excluding the graveyard/overnight front desk/lobby clerk) each had a unique way of making you feel uncomfortable. Upon checking in I mentioned that I would be taking my children to the pool and inquired as to what time it would close and was informed that due to the rain (a very slight (off and on) drizzle) it was closed but the hot tub was open until ten. I mentioned that I didn't mind a little light rain and that for the last 45 minutes it had not rained. She said she would have maintenance uncover the pool. I waited 30 minutes or so to give them time, not an easy thing to do with two children dying to swim A.S.A.P., and found the pool still covered. Both clerks were able to make me feel unwelcome, bothersome, and unworthy of their time. After waiting outside for twenty minutes for the cover to come off one of them came outside to let me know maintenance was gone for the night, we would not be able to swim. On top of dealing with a majorly dissapointed 4 year old, I found that the internet connection in the room was inopperative. Lucky me, deadlines for work and no internet. Sad thing is, I chose this hotel for the pool and the internet. The breakfast hostess was even more rude and condiscending than the two of them combined. However, the breakfast was good.

When we ariived they gave my family the room requested. the air conditioning was off when arrived so we turned it on and left. When we arrived the room was warmer than it was when we left it. Hotel staff checked the air conditionaer and repaired it four times in six hours before giving us a new room. Right after we settled into the new room the hotel manager dropped by to let us know that we could go back to the old room since he just finished fixing the air conditioner again. This was at nine pm and since we had two kids under three, we declined. This new room was what we expected. neither the manager nor the staff ever apologized for the problems of the first day. When we checked out at the end of the week, they still had us listed as being in the old room and I had to explain to the clerk the situation. I am glad it was slow that week or else they might of assigned another family to the room we actually stayed in. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

This months stay was a little better than last time however, The Hardage Group really needs to bring this location up to grade. Wireless Internet should be added to each room unless the wired service is provided for free...it was sometimes hard to find a table in the lobby area that would pull in the wireless and very inconvenient! It would have been very nice to have both mattresses in the two bedroom units replaced not just the upper bedroom mattresses... lower ones are like a brick especially for a longer stay! Also...the exterior is again in much need of work, the rust, peeling paint and doors that are hard to open really will not last forever!!! This is a convenient location for us but each year it looks more and more worn. On a lighter note the pansies and other spring flowers were beautiful and the housekeeping was a little improved from last time. The front desk clerks were very polite and helpful but the owners really need to improve this site.

We had no heat the first night. The bathroom outlet was defective and had to be replaced. They gave us no wash cloths for 3 of our 5 night stay, and no bath towels one night. They didn’t give us soap tablets for the dishwasher even though the container with an empty soap packet was left in plain sight. The TV was defective and it took about 6 tries to turn it on, and they did nothing to correct the problem. We paid $10/night extra for a premium room. The only extras we got over a standard room was two wine glasses and a one bathrobe, a rip off.
